We love dining at Cena Bistro, and have been returning time and time again the past few years. The ambience in the restaurant is lovely, the staff are friendly and the food is wonderful. Recommended

The quality of the food, service and value for money are as good as ever and the visit was enjoyed by all my family who went.

Italian favourites with a varied specials board. We all had a different starter, main and desert. Food was hot, full of flavour and well presented. House red was exceptional value for money. A wonderful evening.

We dined at Cena as we had been visiting family in the area so called for tea on our way home. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere even though it was early on a Tuesday evening. We both went for a pizza. The hot and spicy and the soppressatta, both priced at £15. They were nice enough and the bases nice and light but just a little sloppy in the middle for my liking. We had a glass of rose and a cider. I think £10 for a large glass of rose is extortionate, it’s Guiseley not central London! But I guess that’s a sign of the times. Our bill came in at under £50 which we rounded up to £50 as they do not add on a service charge and the service was good and nice and friendly. All in all a pleasant and enjoyable evening.

We visited on a busy Saturday evening, we hadn't booked but the manager went out of her way to fit us in. The service was excellent and personable, and we really enjoyed the food.

We were recommended this Italian restaurant in Guiseley and really enjoyed our night there. The owners and staff were so laid back, welcoming and helpful and it makes for a relaxed atmosphere has a nice casual vibe. Absolutely love it here! Food is amazing and they made me a salmon risotto which wasn't on the menu so don't be afraid to ask for something not on the menu recipes... theit patè is to die for too. Every table was taken and for a Wednesday tea/evening, that's a testimony to them xxx

Came here for my dad’s 60th Birthday and had an amazing meal. The food was delicious, I went for the salmon and prawn pasta (can’t remember the exact name) and it was fresh and super tasty! It was also good value for money compared to other Italian restaurants I’ve been to! The service was also great, was slightly rushed out towards the end as they had another big party in but nothing to complain about at all, totally understandable. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

Our first visit but won’t be our last! This is a lovely little place, very welcoming, lovely staff and decor. Our small party (3) all ordered different and we all said it was the best pizza, pasta and risotto ever tasted. It has nice rustic decor and an intimate feel to it. No intrusive music was a big plus for us, just perfect

Great family meal served efficiently by friendly staff. Just love their fillet steaks and how they went out of their way to meet my wife’s dietary requirements. Also learned there is Birrra Moretti “sale di mare” — sea salt beer - and it tasted just fine!!

What a great find in Guiseley. Really top quality food service and atmosphere. It’s a really nice looking restaurant with the wood burning pizza oven and the wood interior throughout. Really nice and warm. The serving staff are all really nice, wanted to do as much for us as they could and are really helpful with our child. The food was really excellent, the pizzas have a nice base and flavour and are quick to cook in the fire. Had the veal chop which was cooked excellently, juicy and melt in the mouth with the smoothest mash. The pastas were very tasty.

Hmm. Not great. On a corner at the back of Guiseley, it is a very nice-looking and locally owned Italian style restaurant. Service was good throughout, the decor is nice and food was prompt. Chairs were torturously uncomfortable. Not sure why anyone would choose them for a venue. Food was reasonable but not great quality. I had ribs, which were mostly fat (yes I have had ribs before). The pizza was nice. The tiramasu wasn't really a tiramsu, I.e. it was like a supermarket version rather than a traditional one. It was all pleasant and reasonably priced. I wouldn't go back, though, and I wouldn't recommend a visit except maybe for a pizza.

Had a lovely birthday meal with my wife & my children. As ever, the food was sublime & the service was very friendly. Never had a bad meal at Cena & would recommend anyone to give them a try.

Randomly found them on Google and thought we'd give it a go.....very impressed with the food (quality, taste and portion size), service and friendliness of the staff. Will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend

We went early doors but ,still quite busy. Decent service food was good with plenty of choice. Would recommend .

We booked an hour before turning up as a party of seven. The staff were Yorkshire friendly but the food was definitely Italian and and every dish was excellent. Great service, good atmosphere and fantastic food. We have booked again and what a gem of a restaurant!

Really good food and exceptional service

Food was amazing, I will ask for extra cheese on the pizza next time, I'm seeking out the goofy movie pizza ! But great place.

After a wonderful evening at the theater we wanted somewhere eat after. After a quick group chat we all decided on Italian and couldn't think of a better place to eat relax and chat about our evening. 5 stars would highly recommend.

Such a shame, the food is exceptional but the more senior brunette waitress is really letting it down. She appears to be completely unaware of how to interact with customers, very overly familiar and ruined an evening. We will Not be returning.

I turned up to Cena Bistro last week not long before closing time and slightly tipsy so I wasn't expecting the sort of warm welcome I received. Despite me entering just as the other last customers were leaving I was greeted by staff and seated without hesitation. They were very friendly and although I'm sure they weren't thrilled with me coming in and ordering so late they never let on. The dish I ordered was beautiful, I'll be honest I can't remember exactly the meal I requested but I believe it was sea bass and a side of buttered spinach. The fish was tasty and not bland like so many other sea bass dishes I've had in places. It was well presented and arrived quickly. The building itself is lovely. The outside is nice enough but it's a bit deceiving as when you step inside it's much nicer. Some lovely exposed brick and a well organised table arrangement make it feel very cosy and takes you away from the fact that you are essentially on some back street of Guiseley. The atmosphere on the night was a bit plain as I was the only one there eating! But I have been in once or twice when it was a bit busier albeit only for a quick drink or two on my way home and it's very warm and friendly. I'd definitely recommend visiting if you like cosy, friendly atmospheres and good Italian food. Thanks for having (putting up with) me!

Wow!! Service was 10/10. Friendly patient and passionate waiters. Food was amazing came here 3 times whilst staying local. Best pizza i tried in guiesely by far! Also tried some of the pasta dishes Lasagne and the meatballs. I didn’t really like the meat balls but the lasagne was very good. Desserts where also equally as amazing but Wow that gelato!! Would definitely return for pizza and gelato no questions asked!

Came for food on Valentine’s Day, the service was great and the food was even better. The young lad working that night was really hospitable. Been to Cena Bistro more times than we can remember and each time it’s been great. Can’t recommend this place enough. Classic Italian food, with a warm welcome at the door!

Haven't been for a while but as it was my birthday on the 20th decided to go out with friends on the 21st. Wasn't disappointed at all. Our friends hadn't been before and absolutely loved it. Won't be long before we're back again

If you want an absolutely delicious meal obviously prepared by a chef who loves food, then this is one for you the flavours were unbelievable. This is a really well run family place, warm, welcoming but the food is just out of this world. Treat yourselves, go there, you will not be disappointed.

This is a delightful yet hidden little Bistro near the centre of Guiseley. The servive was excellent, food and drink was delicious and there is a very good selection! I personally had the salt and pepper squid followed by King Prawn Risotto and I can highly reccommend both. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Updated review, we went back for another meal, the food was amazing. The staff really friendly and helpful. we had pasta and steak this time after a starter of pate and mixed cold meats. Loved it. A lovely Restaurant, the music the staff and the ambiance was lovely. We had pizza which was nice but the crust was bland, it didn't have that Italian pizza crust flavour, we got fries and they were under cooked and hard in the middle so we left them and told the staff but still got charged for them. We got the meat and cheese selection, which was lovely but we got bread sticks with it and again these just didn't have any flavour.

Best Italian restaurant in town with very friendly and warm welcoming staff. The menu is authentic Italian based and they also offer special dishes to order.

It's not a bad Italian if you aren't wanting to go far. Unfortunately I'd say it's nothing special.

Very nice atmosphere in this lovely little restaurant. The dishes were very well presented, and looked delicious. We had starters and mains x 4, all choosing something different. Two of us also managed to squeeze in a dessert. If I was to be really picky, I would say my duck was a little overcooked, however that's just my personal choice and it certainly didn't stop me eating everything on my plate. That's the reason for the 4 stars, and only because you can't deduct 1/2 a star. The main menu has a very good choice of dishes but I would recommend checking out the specials on the board before you make a choice from the standard menu.

Cena BISTRO is a very friendly and homely restaurant with good food

very attentive staff - excellent. The chicken supreme was very tasty with the mushrooms and sauce. Cheesecake was lovely too. Nice decor. Only minus 1 star for pinot grigio tasted like a cheap one and wanted bigger portion size on the bread starter & would have liked some veg on the chicken dish.

Absolutely astounding food. Ordered Garlic bread, Calamari, Roma pizza and Margarita pizza between 2 people and it was all absolutely amazing. Quick service, amazing staff and absolutely gorgeous food.

Lovely friendly place serving lovely food

Had a lovely time last night when I came here with my partner. Was very reassured by the social distancing measures in place, and when we came in were gently reminded about masks needing to be on until arriving at the table. This was done very politely. Most staff had visors/masks on and I was very comfortable. The service was without faults, I am a very indecisive person by nature and when I dithered on what starter/main/dessert I was given time to decide and didn't feel rushed at all. Furthermore, they had their own opinions on what course was best and were happy to help when it came to recommending a dish. The decor was very cozy and the music was at a good volume/ was a good selection to set a ambience. We made sure to add a tip for their amazing attitude and manner, which is something I'd recommend everyone to do as if you come here you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to coming here again.
