Lovitaly in New Forest

This is a really great find for us. We were simply amazed at the tasty pasta we were served here. (We tried a beef based pasta and a mushroom with truffel.) The service was great. The price was modest for the quality and portions we were served with a smile. There was enough pasta to take away for our lunch the next day. The wine was also very good at an excellent price. Congratulations for employing two Ukranian workers. The one working front of house did his job with both style and care! So glad that we stopped on our journey and found this restaurant - we will be back!

Great food and service for a party of 10 of us celebrating a friends birthday. One of our party was taken ill during the meal and staff were very quick to help and call an ambulance. Hayley in particular was excellent Thank you from all of us

We arrived not long before closing but were greeted with a friendly welcome and found a table. There is an extensive drinks menu and even some sweet wines which I love. We both ordered pizzas and the truffle and Parmesan fries. Food arrived very quickly, pizzas were large and a big bowl of fries. The pizza was the best I have had in a long time. The base was really crispy and there was loads of topping. The truffle fries were delicious and had the truffle and Parmesan all the way through rather than just put on top. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had planned on going there for breakfast the next day but we’re still too full 😂 This place will be a must next time we visit Ringwood.

We are staying nearby and didn't realise so many places were closed on a Monday, I had promised my son to take him to an Italian and Lovitaly was well rated, rating is well deserved, they had pizza and I have the pork lollipop, food was fantastic, staff were super friendly and helpful and wine was excellent too, thanks for fitting us in

Surprised to find such an authentic and excellent Italian restaurant in this part of the world. The food was delicious. Accompanied by excellent wine.

Lovely Italian food and great atmosphere

I recently had a small hen do gathering for dinner at Lovitaly. It was a great experience. Thank you for making my night extra special! The food was lovely, service was fantastic, and we so enjoyed it. The cannoli were excellent.

Great place and lovely people. But if booking online fou le check it has gone through.

Very very disappointed . Had the burger , thinking it would be home made , but it was compressed dog food !!! . Bun was as dry as sand , bacon dried up and chips tasted of stale fat , salad on the bun a joke .. Came here a few years ago and it was good . Now it’s poor . Maybe new owners ? I’m not sure . But not much Italian being spoken in a so called Italian restaurant! Gave feedback to the staff but no response only to say ‘ ohhh everyone likes the burgers here ‘ No sorry , what can we do ? Etc etc . Shame ! So won’t ever be going back but obviously will spread the word to my friends in the area .

Fitted a family of 8 in with no notice , superb customer service and a really really good meal . All dishes were thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend this restaurant for its great staff , food and ambiance. Thank you to all at Lovitaly 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Fantastic find in the middle of Ringwood. Always buzzing and busy. Food and staff amazing.

We go shopping in Ringwood regularly and always drop in to Lovitaly whatever the time of day. It does breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner. Last meal was a dinner and we booked an evening where they do a special 'Regional Event' focussing on one Italian region such as Sardinia (their natural cuisine), Tuscany, Catania or whatever. These are monthly and always introduce diners to courses they will never have tasted before. Great! An additional attraction is that the proprietor's husband is a (fine) wine merchant supplying A-list restaurants with top quality, rare Italian wines. He shares these at the Regional evening to match a wine with each course - 4 or 5. Fabulous value and some of the wines get on to the normal wine list as well- which is far superior to what you would expect to find in a neighborhood restaurant in the UK. The food is 'rustic' but in a good way - maybe 'authentic' or 'unpretentious' is a better description- but is always delicious and served in ample portions. This is the sort of place you dream of finding by the roadside in Italy - but right here in the UK! Often find Italians eating there. Very wide range of dishes including the best cured meat and cheese platters within at least 30 miles - a regular lunch choice of ours. Otherwise panini, interesting pastas and a good selection of main courses. Also, although way more than a simple Pizzaria this is a better place to order pizza than the 'specialists' in Ringwood! Oh, and it's an incredibly friendly place whether you go for a long meal or just a coffee.

I chose to go here for lunch as I wanted somewhere independent & delicious. The food & choice was fantastic! Definitely the best option in the whole town.

The reservation system is horrible. They will be fully booked, but have spots available on the website. They have a policy where you have to call if it’s day of reservations, but it’s not obviously listed in the website.

Cosy atmosphere with lovely food and even better service

The people were great and the food came quickly. I enjoyed my food and the portion sizes were perfect.

Visited with friends for an evening meal. As we stepped in we were greeted with a welcoming smile and shown to our table. Had a selection of starters. Bruschetta, bread and olives and calamari. All delicious. For mains we shared two platters. Seafood and Italian meats and cheese. Presented beautifully. Very generous size and so tasty. A lovely way to eat , share and chat. Deserts were just as tasty. The waitress was excellent. Perfect service. Loved the atmosphere, seating and decor. I just wish we lived closer to visit often. Will certainly be back.

We have been on the search for decent pizza for a while. And we definitely found it here. Beautiful pizza with ample topping! Delicious artichokes and olives. Service was attentive and friendly. Really nice cosy and light space to eat. Tiramisu we personally prefer a little more alcohol in it but it was still delicious with our yummy espressos! We will return if we ever want pizza in Ringwood again (:

Well - what a find! My wife and I booked the restaurant a table for two in the centre of Ringwood High Street close to Market square. We had a fabulous time lovely bottle of Amarone in a relaxed atmosphere with extremely attentive and friendly staff. Christina native of Sardinia the owner and front of house was great fun and runs a great restaurant with excellently trained staff. We met Arriana our waitress who looked after us and took time to chat (and humour me) and Stefan the chef came out to say Hi too which enabled us to thank him for the excellent dishes we received. A great experience and when in the area do pay a visit - you won’t be disappointed! Ian and Debbie.

We have lived locally to this for a very long time and just haven’t managed to come here!!! Big mistake !! Huge!! Absolutely lovely place!! The food is amazing, literally the best Lasagne we’ve had since Rome (a long time ago, and we still talk about it) and as for the pizza, it was gorgeous!! Lovely restaurant & staff, can’t wait to go back!!

Great if you want an authentic Italian restaurant. The food came out beautifully and tasted fantastic Lovely staff and atmosphere. Our daughter started to feel unwell and was unable to finish her dinner. Staff were really kind and boxed it up for her to take home later. I didn't get any pictures unfortunately as we were too busy tucking in. I highly recommend this place, thank you!

We visited as a family with a toddler. The staff were very attentive and accommodated us despite us being early before the restaurant opened for evening service. The child menu was very generous. Our toddler ate more pasta than we've ever seen her eat which speaks for itself as how good it was. The special - seafood risotto was amazing as were all the dishes. We didn't really have room for dessert but glad we squeezed them in as they were divine. Toddler ate all the ice cream; husband said the tiramisu was the best ever as was the panna cotta and the coffee and walnut cake was equally scrumptious. We all left very full and happy. Staff helped keep our toddler happy which meant the whole dining experience was positive. We are on holiday so disappointingly unlikely we'll be able to come back but would definitely recommend Lovitaly to anyone who likes and appreciates good Italian food.

Great place for lunch or dinner, staff are really friendly, food is always amazing & the atmosphere is great. Always busy which tells you something, ensure you book.

I had the most delicious artichoke ravioli dish at Loveitaly last night. Outstanding. Thank you very much for looking after us so well.

Lovely little place, had a lovely quiet table upstairs- food was ….. OK.. unfortunately my nduja pizza (Calabria) had no nduja and that was my single main reason for choosing that dish- was still nice enough though- bread and olive starter was nice- great selection of breads.. what made our visit however were the staff- our waiter was great- (sorry didn’t catch his name- young male with dark hair) everything was served with a smile, very attentive without being over bearing and made me laugh throughout- a real credit to the restaurant and should be congratulated- thoroughly pleasant young gent.

Best Italian food ever! And as a real Italian I can truly say it!! Best service ever, very kind, friendly and helpful!! I recommend it to everyone! You might need to book in advance especially during the weekend because they are obviously always fully booked! Loved it !

We hadn't booked but went early and they were able to squeeze us in at that point. We shared the bread and olives starter which was very good and a nice bottle of Sicilian wine. I had the beef tortellini which was a very good portion size and delicious, the OH had the day's special pizza which was also good. Staff were friendly and attentive. Situated on the market place, easy walk from all the main car parks in Ringwood

Such a shame, 3rd visit and we travelled from far away especially for this meal. The food was exquisite but the service was not! First of all given a table upstairs with no music and no atmosphere, asked to move and was told no. Then we decided to leave and eat elsewhere and were given a table downstairs that the manager was sat doing paperwork at. She did not appear impressed and then ignored our table all night, she had conversations with staff at our table, barely asked If we were OK then when we had paid ushered us off the table to seat another family. Rushed out the door was an understatement!

Third time I have Been here. Does not dissapoint. A third visit must indicate its a good place to eat. Prompt happy smiling service. delicious. What more to say, beyond give it a go. Phone and book as it is popular.

Very disappointing. Garlic bread, could barely taste any garlic. Vegan Margarita Pizza. Spent more time trying to slice than anything else. The Pizza had what looked like tomato paste, NO tomato's and vegan cheese with the tiniest basil leaf thrown in the middle. A lot of money for the food we had. Sadly we shall not be returning.

Had a lovely lunch here on Friday, the food was really tasty and the atmosphere is great. There's a lot of Italian produce for sale and some very tasty Italian treats to have with coffee, I can highly recommend the pistachio cannoli!

What a great find with a wonderful atmosphere. We had a lovely celebratory family lunch mid-way between 2 homes. We were a bit fed up with the same old pub, and tried Lovitaly for a change - we’ll certainly be returning. Christina and her staff didn’t hurry us and were both friendly and helpful. The food was homemade: I had smoked salmon ravioli with a veloute of courgettes; while my daughter had seafood linguine. This was followed by tiramisu which we both enjoyed.

Authentic and superb. One of the best of this genre on the south coast. Go pasta or other mains to optimise the experience..choosing a nice italian wine ...ooh. Never disappoints after several more visits

We decided to try Lovitaly on Wednesday night - it was very quiet and we were a little surprised that one of the “specials” was not available! Unfortunately the second choice was disappointing and quite tasteless. Also very shocked to receive the bill and see that a glass of wine was £14! We won’t be returning!

Had a thoroughly enjoyable visit here last weekend. The staff were very helpful, friendly and interesting. We had Sicilian chap who didn’t normally work there serving us . The food was very good and authentic, and the prices great. I shall return

Popped in for a breakfast bagel and a coffee. Alex, Shen and the team were excellent on what was a busy day for the restaurant. A proper coffee made by people who know what good coffee looks. The breakfast bagel too was out of this world and really hit the mark. Love this place, a credit to Ringwood!!

My friend & myself booked for lunch. Food was fine. Sadly, we were not impressed by the hospitality. No friendly greeting, no smiles & overcharged. We will not be returning. Service is almost as important as the quality of the food.

Very disappointing, my friend and I shared the seafood platter priced at £37. There was some smoked salmon, a small bowl of very small mussels, 3 deep fried prawns and a portion of deep fried calamari with a couple of dips straight from the jar and white bread on the board. It was not unpleasant but shocking value for money. We did mention to the waitress that we were expecting some fish but she clearly was not interested. We would never go back.

Spectacularly good food. A real taste of Italy. The regional nights are to die for and get booked up quickly. 5 courses, paired with 5 wines and some spiel about the grapes, vineyard and how it matches the food. Currently £60 per person which for the quality of food and wine on offer is well worth it. The owners are lovely and very passionate about their business.

Went for brunch and had a fantastic meal. Service and ambience were brilliant. I will be going back to try what looked like a really good lunchtime menu.

As good as everyone says it is !!

Everyone in our party of 10 thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Very friendly staff although a little slow but didn't matter as gave us longer to chat! Portion sizes are good. I had calamari; bit pricey for a starter but very nice. For main I had the meat and cheese platter and this was very good with lots of different tastes and textures, a proper little feast. Definitely no room for dessert! Not a cheap meal out but highly recommended.

Starter was tasty...tricolor of avocado, mozzarella and tomato. Main course of lasagne was a mistake. Had either not been fully defrosted or overcooked...difficult to tell which one. The pasta strips at the bottom were solid and inedible. I pointed this out and the waitress agreed to reduce my bill. Back to Prezzo for me in Ringwood!

Great staff - friendly and approachable, welcoming. Ordered rigatone carbonara, portion was huge but very dry - no sauce and the pasta was hardly cooked - chewy would be an accurate description. The waitress said this is how the Italians eat it. I have visited Italy many times but have never had a carbonara like this. She offered an alternative but the appetite had gone. The wine was really good so all in all the experience was a bit of a mixed bag, but tbh we won't go back.

Lovitaly has a warm and cosy set, I found the staff to be very efficient and friendly, and good food. Well worth it.

Had a fantastic meal at Lovitaly. Authentic food and atmosphere. I was transported back to an Italian trattoria during the course of our meal. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Will most certainly be returning again and again

Real Italian coffee made well. Super happy about this (happens less than you think). Lovely veggie breakfast; more than I could finish and the staff equally lovely…. Dangerously surrounded by the Italian biscuits (Macine)… Go; eat, drink and be happy x

Amazing Italian restaurant best pizza in the Uk

Went for a birthday meal, excellent service and food. Welcomed on entry and obviously many other diners were regulars. Go if your in Ringwood.

We've been coming for years, our favourite restaurant in Ringwood. Always fantastic food (and we have tried a lot of the menu by now), great wine, lovely team and a brilliant atmosphere. Their regional nights are really special! Highly recommend!

If you live in the area or are just visiting, give Lovitaly a try; you won't regret it. The ambience, the service and of course, the food were all first class and could not be faulted. We just had pizza but they were absolutely gorgeous and were very reasonably priced we thought. Just make sure you book early. We managed to get a slot at 6 o'clock and and hour later it was absolutely packed. Highly recommended.

The worst meat/cheese platter I’ve had to date… As soon as we put our order in we were told we were going to have to wait, which we were more than happy to but for what we received we wished we walked out. Charging £30 for two for the platter received is day light robbery. Very standard meat and cheeses, nothing special to warrant a higher price. It was similar cheeses you get at an all you can eat buffet, cheap. We queried the board as soon as it came out as we thought they may have accidentally done the platter for 1 but low and behold it was the platter for 2. The lady serving said they can do a board for 3/4 people which is similar to the one on the Instagram page but no where on the menu did it advise of further options and only told us this after we received the board of disappointment. We ate the meal as we weren’t going to spend £30 and not eat it. Barely touched the sides, practically a starter for 1. When we paid she asked how everything was and we honestly advise the board is no where near the value charging. She began to get defensive and said 1 piece of meat per person, and could have been upgraded but no mention of this anywhere whatsoever on menu or advised. She said the board posted on Instagram was for 3 people but you should not advertise a platter that is not available on the menu. I have never been so disappointed and there are so many other lovely places to eat in Ringwood really frustrated we wasted our time on this establishment. The customer service was so rude, not accommodating at all, no water for the table and all round rubbish service. We were only being honest with the feedback and felt completely misled for the price we have paid.

Warmly welcomed without a booking early on a Friday evening (Last table available). Treated to a Full Italian meal that had been prepared, cooked and served beautifully by an Italian family. Unfortunately, we enjoyed what we ordered so much, we forgot to record any photographs. Not to worry, we will just have to return for another meal to see if we can remember to take some.

Quirky and quaint, this restaurant has an authentic Italian family feel about it. The menu is vast, but everything we had was perfect. We all thought we had really good value for money too. We will definitely be booking again.

The most authentic piece of Italy you will find outside Italy. Food with passion and excellence, service with love of great food and beautiful wines.

One of the best meals I've ever had. Baby octopus, truffle cured meat for starters, then slow cooked ox for mains. Absolutely fantastic. The staff were all lovely and chatty too. Shame I don't live here.
