Tasty food, calm atmosphere during the lunchtime

We had great service and top notch Italian food. Highly recommend the Bigoli Carbonara and the Chitarra Arrabbiata.

Been here a few times now and can’t get enough. This place deserves 5 stars!!! Can’t find a better pizza in the new forest than this one, even in Southampton! It’s close to the taste of Rome pizzas (which is crazy for the UK!!) Proper fresh ingredients, highly recommend the Margherita DOP. Sensational! Service 10/10 and staff so friendly! Incredible place!! 🍕

What a find for this evening, after spending a day at a wedding conference we had made plans for dinner but cancelled when we saw Albero online, from the first phone call to the end of our dinner we can safely say it was amazing, food , ambience, wine, and lemon cheesecake to die for. We only wish that you were near us as you would be our go to favourite place to eat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely venue near the train station in Brockenhurst. Just came back from a week in Italy and the pizza in Alberto was every bit as good as the pizza in Olbia! Freshly cooked in a proper Pizza oven with lovely gooey cheese, hot and fresh.

We visited for the first time this weekend and already cannot wait to come back. The food was AMAZING and felt so authentic and the service was great too. We also found it really reasonably priced for how big the portions were and how given the amazing quality of the food. I would highly recommend!!

Superb food, as always. We try to visit Albero every time we stay in Brockenhurst. The food is delicious and always consistently good. Mains are tasty and the specials are excellent. We've never had a bad experience here. The chef is friendly, and works hard to cater for all tastes. It's a great place for vegetarian food. Service is friendly and efficient. We'll definitely be back soon.

Ate here when we were staying in the village. Food was great, however service left a lot to be desired. Service was good on arrival but got worse as evening went on.. The ladies serving were more interested in a gossip than serving us. All the food was beautifully cooked and cocktails were good too. Would recommend four cheese pizza and carbonara.

Friendly lady. Very helpful. Tuesday lunchtime so we were the only people in there! Lovely food though and we will be back.

Was in Brockenhurst and decided to pop in for a bite to eat. Managed to sit outside for the last bit of sunshine. Incredible food, I have put this in my top 5 restaurants locally. Lovely Italian/Med style cuisine, sensible wine list and were so accomodating for our 5 year son. Looking forward to going back.

We booked late but a table was found for us and our grandchildren. Staff and service were friendly and efficient, food delicious. The fettuccine with mushrooms was to die for! What a find!

Great! Couldn’t get a table inside as fully booked but we could sit outside under heat lamps with cushions and blankets. Only had room for mains but absolutely great service and food!

Our 2nd visit to Albero and it did not disappoint, staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great, lots of choice and true Italian flavours. Will definitely be back next time we are in Brockenhurst!

An amazing little gem in Brock. We had the porchetta and calamari/prawns to start- both delicious! Followed with the wild boar pasta and a spicy salami pizza. We were so impressed with the food and service and will definitely be back. They had our favourite red wine Appasimento which we had a bottle of and a nice atmosphere. We had a cheesecake to share which was just ok ( it’s baked - which is my favourite way to have it so I’m a bit fussy about my cheesecake) but everything else was delicious!

Great food but unfortunately the customer service was unfortunately very bad two simple requests and the could not deliver it to us it was very simple to do We asked for bottle water with the cap on to be open at the table and the could not carry that out without making us so very uncomfortable asking for a simple thing Then we asked for a bottle of wine to come to the table with the seal on and that was ok we then asked for a second bottle of wine to come to the table and we said to the waitress make sure it not open she came with the bottle of wine open we said to her the wine was open before it came to the table she said back I thought you were only joking We to be honest we were totally shocked with her comments What ever you think whats the right way the water and wine comes to your table if a customer asked for a simple requests it can't be that hard to carry that requests out So disappointed with the whole experience they did not seem to bother with us after that After been in a lovely restaurant white tails the night before to this so very disappointed with the service Top marks to the chefs well done but front of house you have let your team down

Good food, but incredibly expensive for basic dishes.

Lovely Italian restaurant, we walked from our hotel and had previously booked a table. It was busy but restaurant is airy and we did not feel crammed in or the noise intrusive. The service was first class and the portions were great, my pasta dish was the best I've had and all home made. We will definitely go back when next in area.

We popped in for lunch as we were passing, and found a friendly restaurant with excellent very Italian food. I was delighted to find a carbonara that wasn't dripping in cream, and Matthew's margarita pizza was excellent- done in a proper pizza oven. Quick service and good value. We're only in the area for a week but we might be back! Grazie!

Nice neighborhood restaurant with nice staff. We ate homemade spaghetti with wild boar - Pappardelle al cinghiale and chicken - Pollo Dolcelatte on the recommendations of a nice chef from Sicily. The food was fantastically good.

Enjoyed a satisfying lunch at this cute Italian restaurant - loved the bright, contemporary interiors with lovely brick finishes. The staff was very friendly and service was quick! We enjoyed our Artichoke, asparagus Pizza and some sides! Recommended!

We had an excellent meal here tonight with 4 other family members. The food, service, and price were superb. Thank you to all the staff who were very cheerful and polite, which made our meals most enjoyable.

We enjoyed a lovely evening here. The food was really good and the service friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was buzzing but not frenetic and we felt very relaxed and didn't have to wait for anything. Highly recommend Albero.

We were staying in a nearby hotel and found this gem of a takeaway, Italian restaurant. They have a nice menu just for takeaway. My partner & I ordered a delicious pizza + raspberry cheesecake. Totally delicious. They should offer dips and cutlery for the take away menu in future!

Had the Fettuccine Cap e Pac and the Chittara Arrabbiata with Putanesca. The Arrabbiata was nice, spicy enough, but nothing to make you come back again. Just nice. The Fettuccine was sad. Not enough salt for my liking (I do like it salty,) the portion size was not worth the price, and the taste was sad. Place looked great and service was good. Maybe the pizzas are better? Food was just lacking flavour and something to remember it by.

Really lovely Italian. Bruschetta was just perfect and their homemade pasta was beautiful. Pizza delicious too. Definitely recommend!

Popped in last minute and very accommodating as pretty booked up. Lucky for us it was 27 degrees outside so we sat on the patio tables to keep cool. Specials as well as standard menu availability. What we had was plentiful and reasonably priced. Advise booking if you can as not a large establishment but well worth a visit.

An incredibly rude manager (the short blonde lady). Despite being told that we could walk in she refused to let us sit down and join two small tables that were right next to each other. Really poor customer service and could not have been more unhelpful. In response to the restaurants utter nonsense and factually incorrect response please see below. *Please note we rang ahead and were told to walk in as there was plenty of tables outside. We also had dinner next door and you had one table in use in the whole restaurant so you being busy is inaccurate. Also you being 'willing' to accomodate us is nonsense as you were incredible rude and had no intention of serving us but instead gave snarky and unwelcoming comments.*

Very nice and tasty food made and prepared by a friendly Italian chef and his assistant. Very friendly and approachable staff members. I had La Verde pizza, which has been recommended to me by a waitress, and I really enjoyed it. Thank you to everyone, I really enjoyed my dinner here, and I will definitely come back again.

Nice food and good service. Only 4 stars as not value for money, starters & desert were small and found it very expensive.

A family mini break in the New Forest brought us to Brockenhurst. As someone suffering from Coeliac disease, I travel with my own food to ensure no health issues. However, we were recommended the Albero Italian restaurant and I cannot praise them enough. Firstly the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the food prices are reasonable for the quality of food. The gluten free pasta is EXCEPTIONAL. Home made and absolutely delicious. My ceoilac condition was taken seriously but not highlighted as "a problem". I was not made to feel like the "awkward diner" and could enjoy most of the same food as my family could without making huge changes. The other two members of our party also thoroughly enjoyed their (non GF) pizza and pasta meals. Nothing was too much bother and the food was delicious. Thank you Albero team. Fabulous experience and delicious food. We will recommend and we will be back.

A lovely independent Italian restaurant in the heart of the forest and very convienient for the train. Great relaxed service, we didn't feel rushed and very tasty food. Also accommodated our dietary requirements with ease, thanks so much.

Casual Italian restaurant. We visited for dinner mid-week. The food, (pasta and risotto options), was good and the service efficient. We had 2 courses in 75 minutes without feeling rushed. No complaints.

One of the best AUTHENTIC Italian restaurants in Hampshire! Everything is spot on, service, atmosphere, FOOOD!! One of the best pizza I have had! I am Italian, and I can guarantee that there is not another place as good as Albero in Hampshire!! 5 ⭐️

Second time back here. Loved it just as much as the first time. Delicious, clean, authentic food, lovely staff, and great atmosphere. Not cheap, but not expensive either. And I promise you the quality of the experience is easily worth it. Even our semi-fussy toddler gobbles up the food here! Will always come back anytime we're looking for a nice, relaxed enjoyable eat out.

It's like being back in Italy, except your really in the new forest! Lovely food, which actually tastes fresh and full of flavour, they also have a proper pizza oven where you can see your pizza being made and freshly HOMEMADE pasta Highly recommend!

Always a great visit to try different Italian dishes , great service and good wine selection

Not exactly an authentic Italian dining experience. Italian is meant to be fresh, simple, tasty, vibrant. The ingredients are primarily frozen, not sourced fresh locally, and certainly not organic. The UK in general has a food quality issue, and the typical Brit is so conditioned to the standard being so bad they'll give this place a high rating, but if this restaurant was located in Italy, it would be out of business.

Food made us physically ill after arriving home. The kitchen staff spoke foul language throughout service - we were seated near the kitchen so we caught every loud word (my wife speaks Italian). Witnesses. The chicken pollo came out boiled (not pan fried as stated on menu) and drenched in sauce to cover up the chickens non existent flavor. The calamari appetiser was frozen. The green beans were not trimmed. The pizza dough was undercooked, the tomato's raw, and the sauce was bland. All of this for premium fine dining cost. Will never go back. And what's even more sad, is the owner will make excuses, not apologies. Little does he know how influential just 1 bad review can be. Time will tell.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and the food was excellent. Portions were generous (loads of prawns in the seafood pizza and extremely generous portions of ham hock in the calzone) - the latter was the best I've experienced! Drinks are a fair price and would totally recommend

What a gem of a find Albero is. Superb authentically cooked Italian food at sensible prices. Just a pity the restaurant is 140 miles away from my home. The pizza looked amazing but my Cabonara was one of the best.

We ate at this superb Italian restaurant twice during our week-long stay in Brockenhurst. The restaurant has been beautifully styled, and feels warm, classy and elegant. The menu is traditional Italian, but with a few dishes that make it stand out, eg the boar ragú. Outstanding service. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

We have been to Albero many times since moving to the area. They have always been so welcoming to us and our baby and the food is really excellent. The restaurant has such a nice, relaxed atmosphere, we have many happy memories of our meals there. The bathrooms were also immaculately clean and well maintained on our visit today.

Excellent food and wine, friendly and attentive service, and a casual atmosphere. Only one suggestion for improvement: a bottle of wine is to be opened by the table.

We both had really excellent pizzas, and were impressed with the toppings and bases. They were some of the best veggie pizzas we’ve had anywhere. Service was speedy and friendly too.

Staff couldn't be more helpful when booking, we were 6 adults and 4 children with 2 of them under 4. Issue is allergies for 2 of the elder children. Staff were brilliant and couldn't be more helpful. Lovely atmosphere, great bottle of red (Primitivo Puglia ) and some wonderful food. Got to say the Chitarra Arrabbiata is to die for. If you have allergies, this is the place to eat, you won't be disappointed. Couldn't recommend high enough.

Great atmosphere and service. We had the ragu and cream chicken main dishes with a focaccia. The food was good except for the chicken which was a bit chewy but overall ok. There's also parking space. Overall a good dining experience.

Just average, disappointed really but it's OK. Food was alright but not that tasty, the special pizza when we were there was all cheese with a little bit of butternut squash and tiny bits of nuts. Staff weren't very helpful but were OK. Location was good, in the centre of the village with parking .

We were fortunate enough for it to be still warm in October to be able to sit outside with our dog. We had a a really good meal, one pasta the other chicken parmigiana, and a delicious bottle of Montepulciano. Good service, friendly staff, thouroughly reccomend!

A pleasant room with good service and a fine kitchen team. Olives and a shared bruschetta made a good starter, followed by spaghetti bolognese (very good) and fettuccine with king prawns and calamari (outstanding). The house white is a light Chardonnay and perfectly good. Service was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed the evening. There is car parking to the rear for about 15 cars. We’ll worth a visit.

Went here yesterday on a whim after college and it was so lovely! A friend and I shared a pizza and were very happy with the price and they have lovely decor.

Laten we positief beginnen: de dame in de bediening is super vriendelijk en je zit er prima. Maar......het eten heeft niets met Italie te maken. Geen of de verkeerde kruiden worden gebruikt. De Ceasar Salad: Geen gebakken spekjes, de verkeerde sla(ijsbergsla), taaie en zeker niet :"crispy" croutons, aangemaakt met mayonaise!, geen of minimaal ansjovis aanwezig, smakeloze kip en smakeloze (karige hoeveelheid) parmesan(of iets wat er op moet lijken. De pasta's missen de juiste kruiden. Deze kok bakt er helemaal niets van, en dus is het ook overpriced. De wijnkeuze en prijs/kwaliteitverhouding deugt ook niet. Jammer, dit is onze enige misser in onze culinaire avontuur in Zuid Engeland. Ik zou een deurtje verder gaan.

Very good Italian restaurant. Sometimes very Italian and made some minor changes to original recipes but we were not complaining.

Authentic Italian. Immaculate everything and the food was divine! Bruschetta is two pieces of homemade bred so that is a lunch in itself. But I ordered carbonara and although I couldn’t finish it, it was lush. Really lovely staff and toilets super nice and fresh. Cannot fault it!! Thank you for a lovely afternoon!!

We visited twice whilst staying in Brockenhurst. On both occasions we received excellent service and delicious food. A really good find.

Lovely fresh and tasty food was had. Went with my mum and had a great time chilling over good food. Sauces were lovely and the olives to die for. It was very quiet as we were the only Two in there but you could put that down to the fact it was on a Monday for lunch. Made easier as there is parking at the back. Will definitely return.

Fabulous fresh authentic Italian food and wonderful service too. We were looked after by Martina and Slavi who did an amazing job to help make our evening relaxed and so enjoyable. Highly recommend stopping here to eat. Great quality, tasted gorgeous and a lovely place to enjoy food as a couple, with company, friends or family. Absolutely will return here as soon as we get the opportunity. Restaurant was clean, tidy, welcoming and they have outside seating too.

We visited Albero's during a recent holiday in the New Forest. The food was delicious and the restaurant had a lovely ambience. The staff were all really friendly and efficient. We enjoyed it so much that we made a second visit there on the last night of our holiday. We wish we had an Albero near us!
