The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

This restaurant has got to be one of the most pretentious and worst in Wokingham. The staff are ignorant and arrogant, the chef could not take any criticism of his food even though he served frozen cheese that was fried off and bland. He then proceeded to leave the kitchen and paced past us staring at our table. I asked a simple question whether his food was frozen and I was met with complete distastefulness towards my question. Almost to the point that they were surprised someone called them out on their subpar food that was planned and lacked any Italian authenticity. I ordered the italian cheese as a starter and then the veal as a main. We ended up walking out halfway through our sitting and I paid the full amount because I felt sorry for the establishment. The atmosphere and vibe within the restaurant when we visited felt old dated and lacking any sort of innovation over the last 15 to 20 years. I strongly recommend you visit their competitor within the town hall - Piccolo Arco.

Lovely building, menu and reviews were good but not our experience. Meal was lukewarm and small portion, side dish didn't arrive till too late. Both M/F toilets either didn't have paper or were out of order.

My husband book piccolo’s for a birthday celebration the service was amazing & the food was definitely 10 out of 10 I would highly recommend you try this Italian restaurant

A spot of lunch, used the Tesco vouchers (called before to double check, yes they accept) - had a really tasty meal. Main and side plus a dessert! All was amazing... very nice! Service was great too, really couldn't fault this!

We went to prezzo yesterday with our 18 month old Grandson. The young man who served us was so nice & nothing was to much trouble. It makes such a change these days to get good service. The young lady sorry I didn’t get either of your names was also lovely. Food was delicious & prompt. Music was fantastic right up our street. We will be back. Thank you.

A really welcoming and enjoyable evening for us netball girls! Our host was brilliant and very attentive and joined in with our ridiculous conversations, making us all laugh even more. Great choice of food and drinks - at least three of us had the El Gamboreni (the delish prawn pasta dish). The ambience of being in a cosy, fire going atmosphere meant we didn't really want to leave! 100% will be back.

Five of us called in while in London nearby for a business lunch. Very different as you have to do down into an underground area. The decor is modern but with an industrial/classic feel. I am not a fan of pizza but we all ordered pizza as recommended by one of our group and I am glad we did as it was very good - as far as pizza goes. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend for somewhere interesting and quirky. The only down side was it was a bit pricey but I suppose we were in London!

Nos ha gustado Rabia’s en el pasado. Así que trajimos un grupo de amigos mientras visitaba Boston. ¡Nunca más! El restaurante estaba vacío cuando llegamos (en el North End, ahí está su cartel). Una vez que pedimos que tomó MÁS DE UNA HORA para obtener nuestra comida, y 2 / 3 de los platos que pedimos no como se describe en el menú. Cuando se mencionó esto, nuestro servidor se encogió de hombros. Las 6 personas en 2 mesas entraron entre el momento en que pedimos y nuestra comida salió, así que no fue eso. Además, la habitación estaba incómodamente fría. Fue en los años 30 afuera y cuando le preguntamos al servidor sobre calentarse, ella dijo “mi jefe se enoja si lo encendemos”. ¡¿Qué! ! ! Este tiempo de espera extremo fue especialmente doloroso ya que solo estuvimos en la ciudad por el día. Nunca más les daremos nuestro negocio. Demasiadas opciones en el extremo norte para conformarse con esta horrible.

Solía ser un gran restaurante familiar, pero han reducido los ingredientes y subido los precios ... y la cocina básica carecía de finura. Serice bien, pero, en general, un restaurante italiano menos que la media.

Usually very very very slow service. Some staff are not friendly, and rude.

1st time back since new management. Was not disappointed. Updated extensive menu. I had a really tasty Chicken tikka balti. Loads of well cooked chicken and rice soft and fluffy. Nice attentive service. Will definitely return.

Vine aquí por unas pastas preciosas con amigos que estaban de visita desde el extranjero. La comida era buena y el personal eficiente.

Visitamos Santinos en familia como siempre el sábado por la noche y solo podemos describir el lugar como miserable, cumplido con el personal inútil. Santinos solía ser nuestro lugar favorito, las chicas estaban charlando y fueron la razón principal por la que visitamos (además de la comida) ahora nunca he comido mi comida tan incómoda. Los hombres fueron mejor descritos como gruñones y no una célula cerebral entre ellos, mientras que la chica detrás de la barra no hace daño sonreír! No creo que volvamos nunca más. Es una lástima que este lugar realmente haya cambiado en los últimos años.

Love the spaghetti it’s very tasty, desserts are good too I like the chocolate icecream is good too!

Lovely staff and tasty food. Visited on Saturday, restaurant quiet but there was a nice atmosphere. We cannot wait to visit the restaurant again.
