The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

An impromptu visit for a bite to eat on a sunny Tuesday evening. This place was absolutely buzzing-great atmosphere, lovely staff & good quality food and drink…what’s not to like! Well done to Will, Daniel & all of the team as we know how hard they’ve all worked to create this wonderful place.

Eros is totally unique, an olde worlde building with 2 small staircases leading up, old beams & uneven floors, absolutely beautiful. We had Romeo & Juliet Prosecco whilst we perused the menu, which took a little while as we couldn't decide because everything sounded lovely. In the end, we chose whitebait & feta parcel, kleftico & duck breast, all of which were beautifully presented, generous & delicious. We shared the orange pie as we were full but couldn't resist the dessert as it sounded gorgeous. The service was also very good. I would definitely recommend Eros & look forward to returning. Thank you.

Food superb. Waiter service by Bessi was 1st class. Atmosphere and food was really good, steak cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.

Food and coffee is fantastic and the staff are incredible. Have been here a few times and always leave very happy. Very reasonably priced and good quality and the staff are always so friendly and helpful.

Took 4 of my friends to this lovely Place. The food was absolutely gorgeous with a wide range of authentic Italian snacks/meals. The staff were so lovely and the Italian owner (so sorry, forgot his name) was amazing and helpful. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you

We were delighted to have been able to get a table for two without booking on a Thursday evening. The food was excellent. This is a lovely restaurant with very nice staff. Great food, fresh and tasty at a good price.

We've been here twice now as the venue is only 15 minutes away. Both occasions have been great - the tasting menu is varied and filling, creative and delicious. We didn't feel rushed and there's a sense of 'what, more food?!' until finally we got dessert. Neither of us are big drinkers - luckily we could split the wine tasting and it still seemed plenty. Wines are mostly (all?) Italian and paired well with the food. Both the sommeliers were very knowledgeable about the wines. Overall, can't recommend enough :)

Served the saltiest pasta ever, 3 of 4 dinners were sent back, I was then charged for 3 dinners , the attitude of the staff was poor when I complained , the bill changed again, I asked for the service charge to be removed. The waiter who I believe is one of the managers snatched the bill from my hand in a very aggressive manner. We received no apology and a semi lecture on dining etiquette.Oh how I laughed. If you choose pizza or pasta this is what they can make, anything else their the fine dining skills do not exist. Spanish restaurant across the road us a better option. The restaurant was busy and it is clear it is understaffed and cannot cope with a full house. The attitude of the staff is what disappointed us most,every chef has a bad day. Never again will we return and would suggest to everyone do not go here, there are plenty of other options available nearby.

Nice Italian food but a little expensive. The place does not get very busy and I don't think booking is necessary.

Hace algún tiempo, cenamos en La Pietra durante nuestro viaje a la ciudad de Londres. El chef hizo que pasáramos una noche inolvidable. La comida era fresca y muy sabrosa. Disfrutamos de un mezclado chapada con embutidos, diferentes pastas y algunos postres. Sin duda recomiendo este restaurante a cualquiera que visite Londres.

Amazing proper italian food never had any food like this apart from when in italy staff very freindly and welcoming will be returning a must visit

If you want warm white wine and lots on the menu that’s unavailable, then this is the place for you. We arrived at 6pm and the restaurant was empty but the girl pointed at a table we could have, when we could have sat anywhere! We were served white wine un-chilled / limited menu/ no chilli oil/ had to ask for cutlery and pepper, and this looked to be a hassle. The girl behind the bar seemed fed up and I asked for chilli oil 3 times and eventually she said they did not have any without telling me this. Felt bad for the boy waiter as he was apologising for all the failures that had occurred. We were also told the restaurant was busy dealing with the tables outside (there were only two covers). Can’t believe the pizzeria doesn't open until 5pm and they don’t have basic ingredients to fill the menu and the wine is not chilled. Call me old fashioned, but the customer is the customer and we are all paying a bill at the end of the night and expect good service and a smile. Food was actually nice but not an enjoyable experience. Lucy did not make us feel welcome. :-(

The worst customer service and terrible experience, would not recommend to anyone. The owner is very rude and ignorant.
