Wonderful dinner at Giannino Mayfair! The food was delicious and the staff was super attentive with an excellent knowledge of food and wine. We will definitely coming back. Thank you!!

We were walk-ins today for lunch and were greeted with a lovely friendly face on reception and made to feel very welcome! We opted for the 2 course set lunch menu for £15pp and wow! what a meal! We were given complementary breads, olive oils and balsamic along with a complimentary still or sparkling bottled water! And no pressure to order alcohol. Our food was amazing! I had pesto gnocci to start and aubergine with mozzarella for main, both delicious! My sister had ragu for starter and catch of the day for main, again both delicious. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, such a lovely restaurant and lovely staff - we were even given a complimentary tiramisu by the chef at no charge to share as it was their first day if opening for lunch, they usually only open from early eve, all in all a fabulous meal with great ambience, would highly recommend!

I dined here on a damp and miserable Monday night, so maybe not the best time to experience a restaurant, but it was a quick on line booking after being let down on a booking near-bye. It was OK, overall, as a business related dinner. I was not hosting, but had I have been, I would have been disappointed. Food was pretty good, could have been warmer, but as other reviews, the room was cold and there was no atmosphere. We were there circa. 20:00 and the place was empty at that time. It was expensive for what we had, and typically service charges, additional costs for side dishes etc. Mayfair I guess... I would not return quickly. Staff were pleasant. There is better out there and certainly better value for money.

Absolutely awful service! Tiny portions! Outrageously tried to charge me £80 for two glasses of champagne. Slow service! I go to Mayfair restaurants all the time and this was the worst experience I have EVER had! Avoid!

We arrived with a reservation that they couldn't find and it ended up I have booked the wrong day! They were so accommodating and was able to seat us on a busy Saturday night. Food was excellent!!! Everything from the saffron risotto to the veal Milanese. Highly recommend.

The ambiance was a pure taste of Italy, with a full Italian staff! They were ready to help you at all times but not to a point of intrusion. Full and fabulous Italian wine list to complement the wonderful dishes! We order 3 different items from the menu and all were equally spectacular! The veal Milanese was one of the best I’ve ever eaten!

Disappointing, the ratings of the restaurant are certainly overrated, or something went wrong yesterday. We went for a family dinner, a table for four. First of all, the restaurant was so cold that it was not comfortable to sit and enjoy the meal. When asked to turn the heat on, the waiter told me that it's not possible; when the restaurant gets crowded, it will warm up. Then I requested to change the table, but it was all booked. And the sound of the music in the restaurant was so high, nevertheless, it was turned down to a normal level. We should have left the restaurant at that moment! Anyway, we ordered our meals; all of us ordered different kinds of risotto and paired them with red wine. The meals were served cold (not surprisingly), and tasted salty. Anyway, overall, that was an unpleasant experience.

Huge disappointment! I have been to this restaurant a few times on business as you can always find a table for a large group. It started from a lower ground for me but it has gone even further down. Unfortunately food is served in varying quantities from an almost non existing octopus as a main dish to giant veal schnitzel. We waited for our main dish to arrive for over two hours. Last time I ordered steak same as the person sitting next to me, the food portions were completely different. Taste is below average as well. Twice I am leaving a restaurant hungry and tired of waiting. Stay away!

Heard that this place had recently reopened after a make over and new staff and a talented chef from Lucca It’s amazing. Traditional dishes with a twist. We tried risotto and tagliatelle ragù. Delicious. Ossobuco and desserts Spacious with tables with plenty of space and comfy chairs. The restaurant is situated in the heart of Mayfair in a very nice area. Great food, service, and atmosphere! Recommended!

After the summer break, Giannino is back with some interesting news. I used to have dinner in Giannino from time to time last year; now the same warm Italian atmosphere is improved by the freshness of a menu based on the Italian tradition, perfectly cooked by the young chef Nicola. I really loved lobster linguini and Tiramisu. Will definitely be my favourite Italian home far from home in London. Bravi!

I took 8 people out for lunch, including our company's owner. We had reserved weeks in advance and agreed to a fixed menue with three starters and three main courses. On the day of the lunch, only two tables in the restaurant were occupied - ours with 8 guests and another party of 8 in a separate area of the restaurant. The dining rooms have a very nice London design and kept up well. The rest was was not as expected: We were "welcomed" with a question for coffee. Which is okay, but wasn'T the plan. Only upon request and after 15 minutes one of the two servers present came back to read the menue to us. Read, since they only had one printout. Interestingly, he was only prepared to present the appetizers/ startes, not the mains. Neither did he bring anything to note our orders. At some point, it worked out. Appetizers were served and average in taste and presentation, but not what you expect for the price. There were plates for bread and butter, but no bread and butter. Those were served upon reuqest, again, after the starters. Imagine the same process for main courses. Add an overly cold ac, no towels at the men's washroom, server's that convey the imagine of having their first day of work at this place and a bill of 550 GBP for 8 guests for a lunch meeting. I don't recommend anyone to go there. Mayfair has SO many GREAT options, but NOT GIANNINO.

Il manager Matteo fa di tutto per rendere l’esperienza di tuo gradimento, riuscendo ad accontentare ogni richiesta. Mia moglie è incinta ed è stato attentissimo a lei. We came in on a quiet Monday in February for a pre-Valentine dinner and were spoilt both in terms of the food and service. All of the staff were incredibly attentive and it made it feel like a special experience. The food was delicious and they had a good selection of wines. The prices are probably at the top end but everything was really tasty so it is hard to be too picky!

Went to Giannino Mayfair and tried their new menu. It’s was a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and the staff charming. Amazing wines, food and service. We had the beef tataki, the casoncelli, the lamb and the wagyu. Everything excellent, highly recommended!

The Xmas menu was great but overpriced in my opinion. Also the dessert was supposed to be pannatone but we got a different one which I personally thought was awful. Excellent service, great atmosphere in the restaurant and it was quite pretty!
