What a place, quite small but the variety of food on offer is great. My friend had one of their homemade pizzas I went for the anti pastino it was very fresh and flavoursome. The cocktails were very tasty and I like that you could mix in the 2 for £13 deal. The staff are very polite and friendly, looking forward to our next visit

A lovely, private little place to eat with friendly staff and delicious freshly prepared food. Visited here last night for the first time, though my better half has been a few times and she's always had a good experience. We went for the Friday night pizza night and had a pizza, side salad and cocktail each. The food was lovely, nice and tasty and freshly made as were the cocktails. I will happily return to try some of the other types of food on offer.

We had the antipasti platter which consisted of a great variety of hot and cold tasters. Good portions and gorgeous food. We had the orange and chocolate cake after which really is as delicious as it looks 😜 Beer and good wine and coffee rounded the meal off well. The knowledge and level of service is difficult to match anywhere. What a cracking place, we will use it more often. They also do takeaway!!

Found this online, checked reviews & pictures. Small, cosy with friendly helpful staff. Filled with quietly chatting people. I had a hot chicken, brie & apple chutney panini. My partner had red pepper & goats cheese flatbread. Both very tasty. We left with a sharing platter. Would definitely go back to try more from the menu!

We love the little deli however dont go as often as we use to mainly down to time. And for me the most recent visit was the first in a few months. We love the service and the place is cosy and clean and the food fresh but here is the but. The prices have always been a little more than other local venues but you dont mind when the quality is there along with the little touches. And it might sound daft griping over a little salad but when you paying the price you expect the little finishing touches. We ordered a panini and a puzza pocket mine came as expected with a small side of lettuce and looked nice. My wifes came with no salad and looked very sparce and often the visual impact of a meal is a pre taster to the meal itself. The food was good, price was around 14 pounds as expected but disappointed in the presentation what does a bit of salad cost for a panini. Come on deli you got 5 stars off me last time.

Luckily this little gem of a deli is right on our doorstep. When the weather permits we often take a walk down with our dog, sit outside and enjoy a lovely coffee, panini and cake. There are blankets provided and the girls often pop out with a slice of Italian sausage for our dog (who is always on alert!). They have started doing tapas style nights - something we have yet to sample but I am sure will be lovely. Overall it is a smashing little deli, full of character and charm and the staff and owner are always so welcoming and friendly. Worth a visit definitely.

This is our 2nd visit to The Village Deli but it certainly won't be our last. Due to us having our dog with us both times we've sat outside, but it's lovely watching the world go by. It's the touches like that that will guarantee return visits in our book.

I like this little place especially if it is warm enough to sit outside. The coffee is excellent and the food they do offer is great, there isn't a huge choice but given the size of the place, I think that's to be expected and it's better to do a small range but do it really well rather than overstretch. It has a really lovely atmosphere and I have always found the staff to be pleasant.

What an unexpected find. This building has had so many businesses in it over the years and never seems to have 'stuck' but this was humming with happiness last Sunday morning when we popped in for a coffee. Great little place to while away the time with a newspaper and a decent cup of coffee. Nice atmosphere and service. A few Italian treats to buy(its a tiny shop so lets be realistic about the 'deli' aspect of this coffee shop) and very open to ideas when I asked if they could source some items from their Italian supplier for me. I really liked it and will go again

I have visited The Village Deli three times now and have always enjoyed the paninis and sandwiches on offer. The place has a really nice feel to it, quirky and welcoming.Recently I nipped in for a drink and found the hot chocolate to be really bland. It's an extra 50p for marshmallows and cream and there were hardly any marshmallows on top. I really want to support my local deli but I can't understand how they can charge so much for a small hot chocolate which wasn't particularly tasty. I can only assume, being a small business, they have to be so charge more. I know it's a really nice area that we live in but it's just not reasonable. I went to a similar style place in Norton last week and the drink was almost £1 less and was much bigger in size.It is a great place to go but it is quite overpriced. For me it would be more of a place you went for a treat, not a weekly catch up over a coffee with friends. If you can afford it, then don't let this review put you off.

Called into the deli to get lunch to takeaway. The inside is very welcoming and filled with lovely things to tempt the money from your wallet. Place was quiet with two tables of people already seated. We were greeted straight away and looked over the menu, then as we were ready to order one of the tables ordered instead ahead of us. When our order was taken we were asked to take a seat and it became clear that everything was being made one order at a time so naturally we were behind those customers who were already seated. After the lady behind the counter had completed their order she started ours and only at this point (around 10 minutes in) did she realize that she had run out of the bread to make a cold sandwich and indeed the tuna to go in it so we had to change our minds! We probably waited in total around 20 minutes for our order to be made up, two sandwiches two cold drinks and two pieces of cake was around £14. The food itself was lovely, but i can't imagine i would pop in like this again as the service was just too slow, it took up my entire lunch break to drive here, order and get back to work. Also price wise just too expensive. I may call in again and sit inside when i have more time on my hands though.

I've been visiting this little deli since it first opened both with family and friends and have always had a lovely time. The decor is lovely and when the sun is shining, the outside seating gives a feeling you are on holiday. The owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming and the food is excellent. I often have one of their paninis which are always delicious and made with the products they sell (so you can buy the ingredients to make then at home too!) and the cakes are to die for, especially the little italian pastries filled with chocolate. The prices are very reasonable and I've recommended the deli to lots of my friends who have all really enjoyed themselves too, I can't wait to go back.

Went with my groupon voucher which had 3 days left on - I'd had it given as a gift the night before - when I explained this to the man behind the counter he said they couldn't fit us in within the 3 days - there were 3 people seated inside at one table - a reserved sign on one table - I think 3 others free and another 3 tables outside - hardly rushed of their feet. I was told they only use a certain number of tables for groupon - I felt embarrassed the way I was spoken to by this man - like a 2nd class citizen - who suggested I got in touch with groupon for a refund. Looked like a nice little place I would have used regularly as live local - No Way Would I Return There After Feeling So Embarrassed By Staff!!!

The coffee is excellent, my client had a panini from the varied menu and described it as 'spectacular', and the range of cakes is delicious. It was busy (almost full), but we were still made to feel very very comfortable and were able to conduct our meeting in peace. Used a Groupon voucher, on our first visit the panini machine had broken so we had to re-book for another day, the food was nice, could do with a bit of garnish to go with the panini, the place was very busy and is clearly popular, we just felt that each time we arrived we weren't made to feel very welcome, the first time we were ignored while the two people behind the counter continued their conversation with the only other customer in there at the time - an acknowledgement would've sufficed. I did call in when they first opened - content in the knowledge that The Village Deli would sell delicious cooked meats, pâté etc, I asked to buy some ham but was informed (in a not very friendly manner by the male in there) that they don't sell ham, nothing on the signage indicates that this is actually an Italian sandwich shop, slightly misleading. I'm not trying to be negative about the place, the food was OK and the coffee was nice, just think customer service skills could be improved upon.
