The best restaurants serving Indian food in Wales

Went last night with two friends. Lovely waiting on staff and beautiful food. Mushroom rice to die for. Thanks guys would definitely recommend.

Super clean kitchen. Have tried several of their main courses, the food is good quality, great tasting and good size portions, they are generous with the meat in each dish

The driver was very apologetic, but had been given / went to the wrong address. The food is always lovely from here but every time I order there an issue with the delivery, so I think I'm going to try somewhere new.

Absolutamente encantadora comida 10 / 10. Tuve saagaloo, charla aloo, arroz, baajees de cebolla y bandeja de chutney con poppadoms. . El mejor indio de Swansea. Recomiendo encarecidamente 👍

Visité dos veces este mes con mi familia después de años de comer aquí antes de tener hijos. Qué soplo de aire fresco es la Puerta de la India. Antigua escuela, ambiente relajado, comida de excelente calidad y fantástica relación calidad-precio. En mi opinión, la comida es poco cara en comparación con los altos precios que otros restaurantes cobran por comida de peor calidad. El personal ha sido encantador con mis hijos las dos veces que hemos visitado - gracias por hacer su primera experiencia de cocina india agradable. No estoy impresionado fácilmente y he comido en la mayoría de los restaurantes indios en Cardiff y puedo decir honestamente, no se puede vencer a India Gate con respecto a la calidad, el servicio y el valor. Siempre una comida sólida en la Puerta de la India. Muy recomendable.

Poor experience and £7.90 for two flat diet cokes trying to hide it being poured of a half empty bottle instead of a can says it all

Have always loved this place but the last meal we had was absolutely awful. I don’t know what’s happened but the whole thing was just disgusting. The worst dish was the paneer. It was so hard I couldn’t even get my fork in it. I phoned the place up and he said he would give a free dish next time I ordered. I told him I won’t be ordering from there again so he said he will issue a refund. Will wait and see if that goes back into my bank. Would definitely never be recommending or buying from there again

The Chicken Makhani looks and tastes disgusting, the peshwari naan also isn't great either and we waited 2h for our food

Servicio asqueroso. Personal grosero y poco amable. Se negó a hablarme o incluso servirme por ser transgénero. Me negó el servicio. Solo quería hablar con mi compañero, no me reconoció. Luego procedieron a decir que no aceptan tarjeta. Están en Uber Eats, Deliveroo y tienen una pegatina en la ventana diciendo que aceptan AMEX.

Beware!!!!!!!!!!! Madras and samba far too spicy, it’s ridiculous!!! we love spicy food but cannot eat it. You are going to kill somebody with this pisstake of spices! Paid good money for this!! Even the butter chicken is spicy, what’s going on ? What a waste of money!! Samosas are vile and onion bajhis are rock hard! Rice is great in the plus side. Warning- don’t bother with this place, nothing less than evil!!!!!!!!!!

Havent been here for quite a while but thought i would try a nice vindaloo to sweat it out and it was banging fariplay along with the garlic & corriander naan.. kind, friendly and helpful staff and even tho I Would like to see some more regional dishes on the menu it's 5* food that fairplay and honestly the standard never drops. Should certainly of received a chef's hat or 2 and I highly recommend the nwabi wrap with pilau rice & a chicken vindaloo.... yet again it was outstanding so Thank you 😋

If you don't mind sitting in a fridge while all the staff wear outdoor jackets and hats behind the bar, then this is the pub for you ! Under agers welcome ! Edit: today I got told by a member of the public I was barred from this establishment, because of my review. Be assured I've not been in since and have no intentions of going in. Much prefer the cob n pen, a proper pub run with the customers in mind !
