The best restaurants serving Indian food in Ceredigion Mid Wales

We placed a large takeaway order on the Sunday of the bank transfer holiday weekend. When we arrived to collect the food was ready and the staff were friendly and patient whilst I sorted out the payment by cash. The food was still very hot when we had travelled 20 minutes back to our campsite! It was absolutely delicious and we all enjoyed it. I'd highly recommend this takeaway 😊

Tremendous food in an adorable moored ship! Largest assortment & tastiest pappadoms in Wales (we're here for 21 days). We were in India last year & the food here is outstanding. There's another Indian restaurant on the same road, which says it's licensed - but serves no alcohol. Shampan has a full bar. Service is very friendly & meticulous. HUGE menu. Shampan is at the END of the wharf; don't stop until you see the ship. Open Christmas night for dinner. We had a great time!

Have ordered from here multiple times and the food is always great. The staff are very friendly too. I don't understand some of the bad reviews on here, I've never had a bad experience in 3 years.

We enjoyed our meal at the Shilam very much. It was our second visit and we will definitely return when we are next in the area. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Aberystwyth area. The food is fresh, beautifully cooked and very reasonably priced.

Usually don’t leave reviews but this place really deserves a lot higher score under the new owners! If you have been put off in the past like me as the food honestly used to be pretty bad. Definitely give it another go now. I’m very picky but I couldn’t fault them at all. Probably the best biriyani I’ve ever had, full of meat and generously topped with some fresh onion, chilli and tomato, nice to see some effort and passion has gone into it and not just aiming to rip you off like a lot of places these days unfortunately. 100% the best place you’re going to get food in Aberaeron.( maybe even Ceredigion as a whole)

We stayed in the caravan site next door and called over for a meal. We had a warm welcome and all the staff we met, including the chef were extremely friendly and very pleasant company. Meals looked really appetising and tasted fantastic. The place is clean and welcoming. We first went there a year ago and had an excellent meal, we called back and were definitely not disappointed! Great place for a meal or drinks.
