We enjoyed our meal at the Shilam very much. It was our second visit and we will definitely return when we are next in the area. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Aberystwyth area. The food is fresh, beautifully cooked and very reasonably priced.

Fantastic food, I had tandoori mixed grill and it melted in my mouth, my husband had a king prawn bhuna, which was rich and very tasty. We had a great evening and will be back soon! Thank you.

Phoned for takeaway at 7.02pm 1& half hours later no delivery so I rang to see where it was , he seemed evasive and asked me my address I told him , he muttered and said oh yes I found you , the driver has just left , we are 14 minutes away from the restaurant , half hour later we get a call from a driver saying I'm just leaving now I will be 15 minutes , this is now 2 hours 10 minutes from ordering, it was now 9.10 so I said cancel it it's far to late to eat We where lied to it hadn't even been made , if they hadn't lied I may of accepted it And not even a phone call to apologize or to offer any type of good will gesture, so we won't be using them again and at £40 a delivery and at least 1 delivery a week It's their loss

We didn’t actually eat in but ordered a takeaway to our caravan park, Morfa Bychan, quite a remote site with a windy road up to it. The delivery driver was on time, very friendly and the was delicious and still hot. We will most certainly be using this restaurant again! Thank you Shilma.

Treated ourselves to a takeaway tonight and had amazing deal on the cost. Food was excellent, and reminded us we need to visit more often.

Absolutely amaizing good! We love an Indian but this was beyond our expectations. So lovely Arrived quickly delivered without any issues, friendly people who clearly really care about really good food. Had daal which was excellent chicken corms for the kids, and lovely baaji and samosas. Everything was great not one criticism to make.

The curry was mediocre. I had Jafrezzi and it tasted like it was out of a jar (it was spicy if that is what you’re primarily looking for), don’t know if that’s because of any additives but I also tasted my girlfriends chicken tikka masala which was far better. I had ordered an extra side that didn’t arrive either which was quite annoying as I was also charged for it, no refunds were available due to technical difficulties which I hope they will add. For a curry place where this isn’t much choice, This is the only reasonable place. Relatively expensive for the full order.

One of the best curries I’ve had for a long time. Was ready on time and my Bhuna was perfect. Sadly let down by the onion bhajis which were inedible as they were rock hard. Shame really as otherwise definitely 5 stars.

OK..the good bits...the starters were flavoursome. The main meal was ok...ish Now the not so good.... We ordered a simple meal for two at 6.15....it would be with us within the hour.......delivered at 8.45....not good.....after 4 phonecalls....5 minutes, 5 minutes..... The starters - not what my partner ordered - instead of a prawn tandoori, out came chicken tikka. My sheekh kebab was very good, and what I ordered. Main - not what either of us ordered, one rice too many also.....one meal was gravy-like, another was way too spicy. One delivery driver for all of Aberystwyth town......I used to eat fairly regularly here....no more.....but the other restaurant is just as bad........

Just had a shocking experience with a member of the delivery team. Came round the corner on a back lane speeding ran us off the road and drove away. When we got to the take away to resolve the matter and let the owners know that the driver of the delivery car is very dangerous we were shouted at and told to leave. The driver laughed in our faces when we tried to obtain his details to report him to the police. No help from staff just abuse and rudeness. We are in shock from the behaviour we received when we were the ones that got run off the road. We just wanted to explain that the lane he was driving so fast on is dangerous and children use it frequently, he laughed in our faces like it was a joke. We did use this take away very often but after the abuse and the way we were treated after trying to complain we will never use it again.

Just had the worst curry ever! In all my life I don’t think I have ever failed to finish a curry. Usually polish off my wife’s leftovers as well but not this time. My Jalfrezi was a dark brown stodge which looked like it had been stewing all day, all the peppers and onions boiled to death. Intensely hot but tasteless apart from a slightly burnt flavour. My wifes pathia only slightly better overcooked again but this time completely bland. This is the second time and I was willing to give it another go assuming that the first was bad luck but not so. I wiil never use the Shilam again total waste of thirty quid.

Had a takeaway tonight while working in aberystwyth, it was really very good, quite unusual flavours, very tasty. Definitely a cut above most Indian takeaways! They delivered to our b&b as well.

Shilam has relocated to Glanyrafon Industrial Estate, Aberystwyth and dies takeaway only. Good website which enables online ordering and payment. Haves used three times now and meals have been delicious. Lamb roghan josh, prawn dhansak, chicken mhakani and Bombay potatoes. They will deliver at a charge but have collected it ourselves. Meal always ready.

2nd visit for a takeaway and we must have been when the good chef is in! Lamb pathia was gorgeous but could have done with being a bit hotter. Fella's chicken madras was amazing with a thick, not watery, sauce. Children loved theirs too. By far the best curry we've had since moving to the area over 3 years ago. Please dump the rubbish chef, I'll be nervous every time I go after reading the previous reviews.

I love my Indian food but this has got to be the worst chicken madras I've ever tasted. Just tasted powdery like water and 4 pieces of chicken. Poor Aberystwyth having to put up with that. And to cap it all one of the more expensive takeaways . I was a bit concerned looking in seeing there fridge full of preprepared sauces . Avoid at all cost.

I have been a customer many times over the years. Sometimes the food has been gorgeous. The best Indian food I have ever experienced. Other times it has been watery and lacking flavour. I don't know why. Different chefs perhaps?

Theres was a piece of what looked like pork sausage in my vegetable pilau rice, which I assumed would be meat free. If you're a strict veggie, would not recommend. Also my naan was overdone and tasted burnt, and for 2.75 you get only 2 mini samosas. The tarka daal main was nice though and was extremely filling, but wouldn't order from here again

My friend and I stopped by here while visiting Aberystwyth. It was early in the evening on a Friday night and they greeted us warmly and couldn't have been more polite while waiting on us. The food was perfection, my friend had the Tandoori King Prawn and I had the Machil Kerala freshwater fish in a coconut and cream sauce, I found there was a bit too much sauce, but still, great to sop up the excess with the tasty Peshwari nan bread, we shared an order of Onion Bhaji, Rice and Sag Aloo. We normally order far too many dishes, but this all hit the spot just right and with a glass of wine or two, we were very satisfied with our dinner. All the waiters were extremely polite and attentive, from start to finish. The atmosphere is lovely, high cealings and background music at the right volume, right lighting, it's a lovely restaurant with great food, I would recommend it to anyone. There was a restaurant in Newtown, Powys in the same name, and the waiter told me it was the same owner, although the name was recently changed to Bahar. Also an excellent restaurant with gorgeous food.

Been here 3 times and the food and service has been first class every time. I live in London and this is definitely better quality and value for money than most if not all I have been to previously. Restaurants like this serving decent food like this at reasonable prices deserve to succeed .

Was dropping my daughter off at the train station and was on limited time the staff said they could do food quickly, they were very helpful and sorted our order out quickly. The food was ok too sweet for all our taste but good, service was swift, so all in all ok.

Celebrated a family birthday at the Shilam Tandoori, the service was good although the restaurant was quite busy. The food selection was also good but some dishes were not as hot as I would have expected ( temperatures not spicyness)

All of us that visited had a good curry, with the portion sizes spot on. The rice though was on the small side for two to share, so might be worth getting three portions of rice for four diners to share. Naan breads were very good.

We have eaten here many times over the last 3 years and I have to say that the staff are excellent and that the food is fantastic and I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Although the service is poo when its busy

We visited again on Sep 1st. Being a Sunday we didn`t think it would be too busy but we booked anyway. We could not have been more wrong. Every table was full - justifiably so. There were at least 3 largish paries eating & the Take away was busy too. The waiters were so professional & friendly. working well together as a team so that no one had to wait too long, busy as they were. Even the `boss` had to work very hard too . Always a smile as they passed our table & we were served pleasantly & not rushed at all. The food was really excellent and we enjoyed a 1st class experience yet again at this super restaurant. There were 3 of us & we all had different meals all beautifully presented & cooked served to perfection. The menu is extensive & there is something for everyone on there. Balti, Glutton free, vegetarian & vegan so eat here with complete confidence & enjoy a really good quality, excellent meal In a great atmosphere.

It was slightly strange that we were asked to sit down and wait before being showed to our table as it was't exactly busy. However all staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food didn't exactly come out quickly but it was an okay wait. The food i'd say was only slightly overpriced although it was an amazing taste! I would highly recommend for special occasions or just for a night out possibly not something for an every week thing due to price.

We have visited rwice since my last review & all I can say is fantastic. We have visited on our own & last night again with freinds. It was justifiably busy but the staff coped easily & unrushed. Great team work & excellent food. We all had different dishes which were 1st class & cooked to prefection.

Four of us went for food at the restaurant last night and we were pleased with the curries we received. I ordered the chicken tikka Parthia with extra spices to Vindaloo strength and they duel obliged the curry was tasty and hot as I wanted.

We used to visit here regularly . The last time was just over a year ago & the meal was awful & several freinds had similar experiences.. HOWEVER we visited again yesterday (Tueday 25 june & we were VERY impressed. The place had been subjected to a very tasteful makeover, the meals were absolutely superb - honestly couldn`t have been better. We will put the Shilam back on our list as we can recommend it to all.

We ate here this week during our stay in Aberystwyth. The meal was unplanned but we decided we wanted Indian food and this place was close by. I ate the lamb chop starter and a fish curry for main course. The lamb was delicious, not overcooked as it can be in some indians, tender and juicy, I could taste all of the spices but that didn't down the taste of the lamb itself. My main was similar, the balance of spicing was just right, tasty without overpowering the fish.

In Aberystwyth on holiday. Love Indian food but had not been to the Shilam before. Great experience! Excellent food. Staff went above and beyond. Highly recommended. Do yourselves a favour and go there.

The quality of the food was second to none, but had to wait an hour for food due to staff shortages on the day. Would have been nice to have been made aware of this on our arrival

This was a very good Indian restaurant . Some variation on the normal dishes. Really tasty. Reasonably priced. Service a bit slow but they were very busy. Well worth a visit

A poor experience with extremely slow service. Things looked promising from the range on the menu and the food was tasty. We needed to chase up side dishes and vegetarian friends were brought keema rice. The atmosphere was soured by another large table walking out having been kept waiting more than an hour and a half for their starters. It seems a popular place but we shan't be going there again.

Definitely 5* rating. This was the best Indian food that I’ve tasted for many years. Totally looked after from the moment we arrived. Highly recommended.

I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt of the service of this restaurant but I feel that I have to comment on their food. Its awful its continuously cold and at times waiting for over an hour for food. Shilam it's just not good enough, when you are paying over £30 for a meal for two you expect it to be at least warm. I have tried different chicken curries but they all taste the same

Day1: Started with Madras poppadoms(served with condiments) and Lemonade. Then had palak paneer, chapathi, Cheese Nan, curd and Dal Tarka.

With an hour or so to kill, I decided to visit the Shilam for a lunchtime meal before catching the bus home.

Simply fresh, tasty and perfect! Their own pickles plus usual with perfect popadums and their Handi Chicken is special - the Bhindi Bhagi add on is so frech and a must as far as I'm concerned - I rarely give 5 stars! Well done Shilam!

Just had a takeaway , and the service of the gentlemen was brilliant he was very happy and cheerful ! The food was absolutely incredible , it was fresh and hot and was here under half an hour of ordering it ! Would definitely recommend , as well as eating in the resturant the service is brilliant.

I finally got round to bring in my girlfriend here after having a great male back in January at my Christmas party.

We came here nearly 2yrs ago and the service was exceptional and the food , well , it was devouringly delicious. Since then we read it had changed hands and the food was not too good anymore!

I attended a late Xmas meal this subday. This was my first time at this restaurant and was impressed. With my awkward veganism they had a separate dish for me instead of the platters.

Had a coffee whilst waiting. We were sat at a table with a drink, popadums & dips whilst waiting for our takeaway order. Staff so friendly & very polite. When we got home our food was amazing. The best curry we’ve ever had. Definitely going back. Annette & family x

The currys here have always been of good standard, the delivery service is exceptional and they travel very far in good time. A few times the dips havent been great or the wrong ones given but this has been made up by the free poppadoms!

We ate here just because the other Indian was closed. The staff were attentive and food was ok but the atmosphere was spartan and bare. The tables were wooden with out clothes and the whole place looked like it was just a temporary place. Not a bad place but not on the list to go back

Visited on a Saturday night, delicious food and good service. Our waiter was very helpful and food came in good time and was tasty. Visited with children and it is child friendly too. We were a group of 5 and all enjoyed the food there. Nice atmosohere in the restaurant, a good place for a family meal. Will be visiting again next time i am in Aberyswyth.

Amazing food, had it delivered to out caravan in Clarach Bay Holiday village, well recomended. Friendly driver, our son had chicken tikka balta and myself and partner had tandori mixed grill,amazing, the rice was delicious

We booked from afar for family celebration meal after graduation. A warm welcome was found with cheerful service and just the right time to peruse their expansive menu. The dishes we selected were across the spice spectrum of mild to very hot. The dishes were amazing and flavoursome. We found the spices were nicely balanced allowing you to enjoy the fully rounded flavour of the dishes accompanied by a good range of rices and naan breads.

When you have a long day and not in a mood to cook, shilam is my all time favourite choice. Food tastes perfect as you can find a tinge of beautifully blended spices. Place is lovely and close to everything in town. Good food with good service makes SHILAM the best place!

After hard day at work went for take away meal for myself and wife when I got home after 8 mile drive was very disappointed to find one of my meals were missing to the value of £6.50 food what we did have was good but think staff should double check order before giving to customers

They have started selling takeaways from our local garage to heat up at home. The first time was poor but decided to give them the benefit of doubt and bought another one tonight. Very very poor value for money. 5 tiny pieces of chicken and a load of sauce in a meal advertised as for 2. It wouldn’t even satisfy one! Very poor value and not the first time either. Feeling ripped off - they are not cheap.

We went to this restaurant on a Friday evening when we expected it to be very busy but it turned out to be a quiet night with only five or six other diners there.

Extremely poor service which was exceptionally slow and staff rude, waited hours for starters let alone main course - do not recommend this place at all!

Food is tasty, satisfying and worth trying! Moreover, the food is fresh and the chef modify the dishes according to your choices with excellent flavours. Excellent service!

On hearing how amazing this Indian was we couldn’t wait to dine here! What an utter shambles! Dirty cutlery and side plates, no waiter to take our order!!!! and the restaurant was almost empty ‍♀️ The curries were bland and tasteless and not what we’d have expected at all. The rice and naans were lovely but what a terrible shame that things have gone down hill here. They were more concerned with there takeaway orders than of the restaurant which we were paying more for......pull yourself together guys and bring it back please! Brother in law paid for our meal as a treat bless him and he made sure they reduced the bill. What a shame!

Arrived late so was a bit cold, food seemed strange this time.

I ordered a takeaway last night for me and the wife.After a hours wait it arrived, It was brought to the front door in a carrier bag,when I opened the onion baji starters they were cold,and the currys were barely warm,also the naan bread was cold.I don't know how many deliveries were made before getting to us,but can say it did not come direct..We have been to the shilam many times and had lots of takeaways and had no problems,but this was the worst meal we have ever received..

Used to really like Shilam but the last 2 or 3 takeaways that I've ordered have had really long delivery times (way beyond what they said). The food has also been of poor quality - oily and not tasting good. Might be different eating in but I wouldn't recommend for takeaway.

I have been here many times when staying in Aberystwyth. It is always good bright & modern, the best I have found in the town after trying others.

Our first time here and the menu is extensive to say the least. We passed by the obvious 'standard' curries and went for the dishes we've not seen before. I have no idea how the geography of these dishes differs from the norm but they were absolutely delicious. A much more generous use of curry leaves, cloves and cinnamon, all used in their unprocessed form, a little fiddly picking some of these out as they aren't nice to eat, but well worth the effort for the flavour of the dishes. Not too heavy on the chilli, but a nice heat that built steadily throughout. Staff were incredibly attentive and polite, not rushed and obviously genuinely pleased that we enjoyed our meal. And to top it all off, very good value for money! We're looking forward to repeat visits to start working through the menu.

We visit Aberystwyth twice a year & always eat at Shilam, because we know we're guaranteed a warm, friendly welcome & a delicious meal in relaxed, comfortable surroundings. We always ask for the waiter's recommendations for the set meal option & they never fail to recommend exactly what suits us. We were particularly impressed by the staff & food at our most recent visit in August.

On visiting Aberystwyth we tried the Shilam and we were both really impressed. Lovely friendly staff found us a table straight away. The food was amazing. My husband then spilt his pint all over the table so they moved us along to the next free table and replaced his drink free of charge ~ where do you get that service nowadays. Well worth a visit just wish there was one nearer home. Thank you

Have had a couple of great take aways when I've come to visit my boyfriend at Aberystwyth uni. Always great food

8 of us turned up and chanced it without a booking at 6.45pm and were greeted warmly.

We have been coming to the Shilam for several years and it has become a firm favourite. Unfortunately the last two visits have been disappointing.

Well for the third time you've managed to make an absolute joke of your service. We've rang an order in of excess of £60 &, with a promise of an hours delivery, it actually arrived, cold & average 2 & 1/2 hours later.. with 2 phone calls inbetween with the most ridiculous excuses you've ever heard! The fact you've become busy cuts no ice, you have an order of service & delivery staff ready & waiting, what else do you need? The fact that we've once refused to pay & secondly paid 1/2 the cost will surely make you think! DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH APPALLING SERVICE, WE WON'T!! This is the 3rd time we've ordered a delivery with the same result! DON'T SAY YOU CAN DO SOMETHING YOU CAN'T!!!!! Absolute shambles of a business! Obviously good restaurant, rubbish takeaway/Delivery!! Won't be using again!

On entrance you are made to feel really welcome and everyone is so friendly. All meals can be altered as requested. Two of us shared a main meal and had a few side dishes. The eating area is clean, comfortable and not overcrowded. The waiting staff are there immediately if needed and will check regularly to see if your ok, or need another drink. Now the food..... It is amazing. I eat at hundreds of Indian restaurants and this place is one of the best. We go with a family of ten adults and two children and everyone was very impressed. I have been four times now and the consistency of the service and the food has been consistent. The younger adults were catered for with a wifi code, thank you very much :-) My only negative is that, although there are high chairs, there is no children's menu. Stick some chicken nuggets in your freezer for when we come again in October. Oh they do half portions of the indian menu for children and those with a small appetite. How cool is that :-)

Staff were helpful and courteous. Building was clean, light and airy. Food was excellent. We have previously shied away from this restaurant as in the past there have been negative Tripadvisor reviews but we were very happy with our meal and the experience. Recommend!

This is a restaurant I have often returned to over the years In Aberystwyth , and have always found the staff very friendly and accommodating, and we certainly didn't have too long to wait when we were there last week. The Tawa is really worth choosing, comes on the sizzling plate We had the usual poppadoms before hand; and it was a very pleasant dining experience

Being a Curry expert trained by a best friend who hails from India i know my curries.The venue is handy being next to the railway station, on entering you are faced with a very welcoming reception area. The premises are well set out and very clean with the staff beong attentive and professional.We ordered a Lamb Madras, Chicken Dupiaza, Chicken Bhunna and a Chicken Maryland, a western dish for my daughter who fails to see the beauty in a curry.The portion size was perfect, as was each of the dishes, perfectly formed and true to what a curry should be, a stew like sauce.If i were to score our experience then it would be 12 out of 10.The cost for the curry around 6 quid and £2.95 for rice, the nan bread was light and devine.Oh yes i must not forget the western dish, my daughter scored it 9 out of 10.

No curry at Spoons so popped in here. Definitely worth a visit ...we have an Indian like this in our town...rustic Indian cooking...the food was awesome and would highly recommend ...service was friendly and very good.

We did not book prior to visiting on a busy Friday night, this was not an issue for the staff at Shilam and we were seated as a table for 8 within minutes. Service was great and staff were able to provide information and advice on what meal was more suitable for each individual. Garlic Nan was really delicious and we had meals such as the Handi, very tasty and Tawa which was nice but didn't have much sauce. We will all definitely be returning!! Thanks :)

Stopped here for a Indian after visiting a family member in hospital so wanted the wait to be short, it was just that about 15 mins. Unpackaged the food after travelling for half hour and it was still all piping hot, the food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. I really have no complaints and the price was great too, worked out at £12 something a head which for a Indian takeaway is great and some even made a second meal for the next day out of it.

Favourite Indian restaurant! Nobody beats their curries with traditional spices! They always look after their customers and do everything to please everyone's taste. Happy to adjust the menu for specific dietary requirements too. The atmosphere in the restaurant is airy yet cosy and suits well for larger groups. Never had an issue with deliveries (touch wood), which demonstrates efficiency of the business. Highly recommended!

We couldn't find a restaurant open at 9pm but found this one. Looked empty but the food came very quickly and was excellent quality . Well worth a visit. We will go back. Ext time in Aberystwyth.

We were seated fairly quickly and our drinks order was taken but that took a while to arrive then we were asked if we wanted poppadoms, when I said no the waiter walked off and did not take our actual food order. We sat there for a bit and I considered if this was a holding technique to see if we would order more drinks. As we were really hungry we considered calling it a day but another waiter eventually came over and took our food order.The only nice thing about our food was the naan bread. I had a mushroom balti and it was just awful, overly spicy and the portion was very small. My husband had a lamb pathia and he said it was completely tasteless, again a really small portion. We would not come here again and don't reocommend.

Arrived at 10.10pm to an empty restaurant apart from 2 other diners. Were told, with great indifference, to sit where ever we wanted. Sat for 10 minutes at a table for 2 very close to the bar and kitchen entrance and were ignored by every member of staff. When challenged, the front of house chap informed me that he didn't care about the dire service as he was off home.Have used this restaurant many times in the past, but not any more.Suggest some staff training!!!!!

Went in on a Sunday evening at 1940 hours. Waited 10 mins to be spoken to before being escorted to a table. Another 15 mins later someone actually bothered to ask us if we wanted a drink. We have the simple order of a wine and and a Pepsi and waited 20 minutes for them. Stated to the waiter we were ready to order twice. Once he walked off and never came back then a other waiter came to take the order..this is where the fun started!!! Can we order some papadoms please .. we were told these will take a long time and please order your mains. Really!!! Papadoms?? Waited 45 mins and nothing, no poppadoms, no apply for the delay, nothing.... after 1 hour sat at a table we decided to leave.. absolutely rubbish customer service worst restaraunt I've ever been to.. what a shame this ruined a great day with my girlfriend.

I love it here. When eating in, the service is always delightful and the food is good. Takeaway service can be a little slow but that doesn't put us off!

Spent a pleasant evening with my hubby. The service was good. Food was very good especially nan breads. The let down was the chips. French fries are for McDonald's only!!! They were over cooked more like crisps which spoilt my meal. Rice and curry very tasty. Overall a nice meal but avoid chips.

Visited the restaurant for dinner. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was not the the best Indian food I have tasted, but it was very edible.Would I eat here again, probably yes. The menu select teas good, as was the service and surroundings.

Today me and my friends decided to go to Shilam Indian Restaurant in Aberystwyth. We were here for the weekend participating in a geography field trip. We were excited for our food but were left disappointed.We arrived approximately 19:30 but didn't receive our food until 21:30 which is a ridiculous amount of waiting time. Following receiving our food the rice was cold as was the curry itself. Drinks were also a disappointment receiving coke from a bottle that had been sat on top of the fridge and therefor was flat and warm.Lastly the waiter we had was rude and very argumentative towards his fellow colleagues. At one point we could hear a full blown argument from the kitchen.The best part about the meal was the popadoms alongside the mango chutney.

I visited on a Saturday evening with a friend. The restaurant was not very busy. It took over 25 mins to ask us what we wanted to drink and even longer to take our food order. When the drinks finally arrived the order was wrong and then we had to wait even longer. We both had starters which were quite tasty but it was quite a long wait again. I had a curry which was good and my friend had a sizzle plate which was a larger than average portion. On the whole the food was good but the poor service spoilt things. We arrived at 6-45pm and left at 9-45pm. A bit too long for two courses!

Single meal and starter.Starter was good portion and on the table in 10mins.Main though was 35min after the starter.Place wasn't even busy. No more than 12 to 15 heads in there.Good food need to brush up service time. Waiters were pleasant enough and food was good so would go back. Hopefully just an off night.

Firstly, the waiter couldn't make his mind up what table we should sit at, we finally sat down where the table wasn't clean and rice left on the table. The waiter gently knocked it on the floor, then walked off. Another waiter came over to us and asked what we like to order and walked off before taking the order for the main meal.. 15 minutes passes and we still did not get our order in. We had to ask the waiter, can we order, the waiter seemed very bewildered and confused "being our waiter". All of a sudden, fight kicked off with to men, one calling one some disgusting words and discomfort setting. Finally the waiter came to our table, not only we had the wrong order of poppadoms we was introduced with two American sized! cokes! then a second waiter came up to us to re-do our ORDER!!!! saying "the kitchen has your order but I need it for the till" like we was born yesterday! very poor staffed! we waited more then an hour for our food. 2 hours altogether that we was there.

Visited on a freezing January night when the restaurant heating system had broken down! The staff did their best and gave us an individual heater which just about took the chill off. Worth it though, the staff were warm and friendly and the food was hot! Worth a visit, especially for train travellers.

An empty restaurant where the food was disappointing. Portion size was fair but everything else about the restaurant was bad.

Service and food were okay, but not worth returning. It turns out the meal was a very good weightloss tool as I was ill for two weeks following. My partner returned to the restaurant a few months later and found a plastic flower in her food. Won't be visiting again. I've never had such bad experiences eating anywhere in Aberystwyth apart from here. Lip Lickin is a safer bet.
