We were visiting relatives and decided to try this Indian takeaway. I can honestly say it was delicious and we throughly enjoyed, it was well cooked, extremely tasty and we will definitely be back when visiting again Definitely recommend

Great little Indian Takeaway that is NOT expensive, very tasty and very quick. The perfect remedy when you are needing a curry and are hungry.

We were looking for some food whilst passing through Lampeter, and I checked the window of Nehar, they were not open for another half hour. The owner came to the window, and beckoned me to the door, and said that he would open up if we wanted to order then. Ordered, and had our meal prepared, and the owner even came from behind the counter to open the door and see my wife out. The food was really very good, very well flavoured and decent portion sizes. Would definitely recommend.

Great takeaway. Lovely food (chicken tikka lovely and sweet, tasty lamb pasanda) and friendly service. Strongly recommend and will go there again when next in area.

Popped into this Indian takeaway and the service was amazing!! The man greeted us nicely and even walked us out when we left. The food was ready within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was amazing!!!! One of the best Indians I have ever had in my life. I have a local restaurant that is so good that others Indian takeaways never live up to but this was on par with my local one. The flavour was amazing. 10/10. Would highly recommend. My only criticism would be that it’s a 4 hour drive from my house so I’ve got a long way to go if I ever want to eat there again.

Our first takeaway in Lampeter, Great vegetarian mix of dishes and really tasty for us all. Grandparents to 2-year-olds loved it. Will be coming back.

I recently visited Lampeter and had heard very good things about this place from family members. I have to say it did not disappoint! Everything was so delicious and well priced! I would highly recommend, one of the best Indian take out spots!

Great little takeaway! Friendly staff and food is delicious! Catered for 14 of us no problem and when we arrived, even tho we waited a little longer than planned for the food, we were met by a well organised and friendly guy who made the transaction as painless as possible. Feeding 14 is no easy feat but thanks so much. We all enjoyed it! Well worth a visit if you are in town.

Excellent welcome excellent food. My favourite King Prawn Pathia is made here at Nehar Lampeter. Definitely my favourite Indian Takeaway and I go there a lot. Really nice people too! I love Nehar.

We have used Nehar more or less weekly since moving to mid Wales from West London area 8 years ago. The food is always excellent and easily on a par with Indian take aways in Southall area of London. The owner is always happy to oblige and seems to remember every customer’s name! The premises may look a little unprepossessing but don’t be put off- the food is great.

Just enjoyed another lovely meal from this excellent local takeaway. Great value and really speedy service, lovely fresh and authentic flavours with good quality ingredients. Everything was ready for collection in the time it took to get into Lampeter. Particularly delicious coconut naan and chapatis - really good to have them home-made and freshly baked! Well done Nehar takeaway and thank you for a great meal - we are lucky to have you in Lampeter!

We thoroughly enjoyed this excellent meal. It was ready for collection at the time given and everything was still perfectly hot when we'd driven it home 20mins later. The member staff at the counter was friendly and polite. We ordered onion bhajis, vegetable samosas, puppodums, stuffed naan, paratha, lamb korma, vegetable dansak and pilau rice. The onion bhajis were large and perfectly fried - not too frazzled, just nicely caramelised with plenty of moisture still, the puppodums were delicate, tasty and not too brittle, the lamb in the korma was soft and full of flavour and the korma itself had a good coconut taste without being over-sweet. The vegetable dansak was particularly good - warmly spicy and a good variety of vegetables. The stuffed naan was delicious, as was the paratha. It was all very good value. We will definitely be ordering from here again - a really enjoyable meal!

Had a really good take away from Nehar, its nice to see they have got there act together. the only thing that needs doing is a clean up just look at the colour of the phone!

This was the second time I came, and once again I was not disappointed. The food came in a quick 15 minutes upon ordering and the indoor atmosphere feels authentic, and the host is beyond comforting. The food was outstanding, and brought real true flavours of India into my mouth, beautiful blends of spices. The price was fantastic for the portion size, very generous on the amount of food you receive. Lastly, not to mention the host, owner, is amazing, manners that charm you, warm and kind towards anyone and even opens the door for you before you leave with a polite thank you. Couldn’t ask for better.

Ordered a take away with the family phoned it in all good so far! When we got home a very pleasant surprise it was all there and correct!Then to top it all the taste and quality was where it used to be please keep it like that.My chicken naga was spot on.

Had a king prawn bhuna with lemon rice an extra thick dhall tarka the meal I could not fault it was fragrant a very generous portion of prawns simply delicious

Hasic curries fine bhunas and rogons also fine but those with cream or garlic lack these ingredients. Chicken and lamb dishes fine but prawns are tasteless normally. Rice is ok but special rice is not usually just pilau with a bit stir fry on the top.

Just have to come for our treat here every week. Just the best take away in town.The food is allways so freshly tasteing

Service was ok. Polite and friendly. Food arrived quite quickly. Poppadoms good as was the stuffed piratha. The problem was the Chicken Tikka. My son had only had a few mouthfuls when he was struck down by a pain in his stomach. It stayed the whole night and the following day resulting in severe diarrhea. We aren't in the area very often but certainly will not be returning there.

I stopped by Nehar tonight for the first time. the gentleman taking the order is really really nice, I didn't have to wait very long for the food at all and the food was delicious. I will stop by again for sure

My husband and i enjoyed a fish curry and a chicken chilli balti takeaway. Very impressed at the quality and quantity of the entire meal. Great service too, highly reccommended

This is a lovely takeaway, customer service is great and the food is always nice. Because of this there is sometimes a little wait for your order as they do get busy but in my opinion it’s worth it. I tend to pop in whenever I’m back in lampeter visiting family and in never disappoints. The only negative is that you can’t have a sit down meal.

The food here is excellent. Arguably the best Indian in the town. My only issue is always the wait time. You're told a time and it will never be ready. Even when I've arrived 20 mins late I've had to wait. But the food itself is great and the man who serves you is always cheerful. I will be back.

Got a take-away meal from Nehar having been let down by another local Indian Restaurant. The word that springs to mind is serendipity. The very friendly Gentleman who worked there was so polite and helpful and couldn't do enough for us even though we were just having a take away! The food was absolutely outstanding, top class. We are so glad that we ended up here, and will certainly be back next time we are in town. Thank you for rescuing our evening! We are so glad we gave YOU our money :)

Visited whilst in the area only had nan breads on this visit however they were stunning will return again when in the area such a lovely person who worked there

Had a takeaway over the week end but the food still was not as good as it once was, I hope they can sort this out and get back on track.

I have lived in Lampeter now for over three years & possibly eat their super food weekly. I have tried a number of their menu choices & never been disappointed. Fantastic value too.

I have reviewed Nehar before and wanted to do so again because this gem of a takeaway really does deserve to be praised. We are vegetarian and there is plenty of choice for us - we have never had a bad dish and we have tried so many different delicious choices. The takeaway represents excellent value for money so I would thoroughly recommend it to students looking to get a bit of a treat that doesn't break the bank.

Had a fantastic take-away for a Saturday night. The food was freshly cooked and ready within 30 minutes. Delicious, and excellent service.

We live close to Newcastle Emlyn and we have a couple of Indian takeaways there, one which has won numerous prizes. And yet we choose to travel 40 minutes each way to Lampeter to pick up an Indian meal. Why? You might ask. Well, quite frankly, Nehar's food is marvellous. And not just the food. The whole experience is wonderful from start to finish.

Its been quiet a while since I have eaten here, but I must say the meal was first class, lets hope the next one is as good and the consistency has improved.

We visited this takeaway last week whilst on holiday. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, the price was very reasonable and we all 4 of us (who regularly have Indian takeaways over the years) agreed it was one of best if not the best we have had. Highly recommend this takeaway

Due to an illness it had been some time since having food prepared by Simon and his chefs, I have always enjoyed the food here as i like hot spicy food i can ask for authentic Indian cuisine not the dumbed down European flavours which to me are bland and a waste of my monies!! well I took my teenage grandson in with me as he had never tasted authentic Indian Curry what a mistake that was! he had a Lamb Tikka Masala which i tried it was sweet, tender and delicious however in the words of my Grandson "it dont taste like the Co-op's! after a huge sigh and a discussion about curry i gave him some of my curry which again was lamb but vindaloo i don't think he thought that was from the Co=op Anyway enough hilarity if you want a decent reasonably priced meal and want something out of the ordinary then i would not hesitate to recommend Nehar good honest well prepared food. Enjoy

I visited to collect an order for 14 chicken tikka masala naan's for a group of us from Ford Gron Llanbed / Lampeter Round Table who organised and held Gwyl Gwrw Llanbed / Lampeter Beer Festival in February 2017. We were all hungry after a very busy day running this popular annual Beer and Cider Festival. I really enjoyed the mouthwatering chicken tikka masala, full of good size chicken pieces in a delicious tikka masala sauce and served in a large naan bread with side salad and chutneys. I contacted them beforehand with such a large order and about 30 minutes later it was ready for collection - what a wonderful and efficient service. The welcome at Nehar is always warm and friendly and the excellent food and service makes it well worth a visit.

Nehar in Tregaron is a new restaurant, and they have to do a lot to make me go back again.When my partner asked for a Biriahni (rice dish) she asked if he wanted rice with that dish. In it was some precooked warmed up meat.My Kashmire bread was nice, but, my partners had meat in and was very salty.My meal, was supposed to me some kind of mid range heat dish, but, it was basically thier Korma base with a bit of chicken (obviously cooked seperately and some fruit) - no heat in it at all and definately, really a korma... very dissapointing

Always had a great meal from here, in fact it's absolutely delicious. Don't be put off by the after thought decor on the outside as the food is a cut above it. The only down side is the guy behind the till is a little creepy and his welsh is quite cringy (but at least he tries). Would choose this over the shapla if wanting a takeaway. (Have reviewed that too).

After waiting so long for our order to be ready last New Year's Eve, this year I phoned it in at 5.30. However, I still didn't get to collect it until 8.15! Having said that, I don't really mind and see it as part of the charm of the place. The front of house service is both polite and endearing(I challenge you to feel cross in the face of it!) The food is most definitely well worth the wait...the best I have ever eaten (and my Nan was Asian).:)

Ordered a takeaway for 4 last night.The dishes were excellent. The chefs paid attention to creating different tasting dishes rather one universal sauce casually poured over container of meat fish ar vegetable.Generous portions. Ordered for4 but the meal would easily have served 5.Yes recommended

Both Shahan and Simon are extremely polite and give personal service. The food usually takes 25 to 40 minutes because all food are freshly prepared. We've been buying here for years, and never had a cause to complain. Very tasty food. I strongly recommend the Lamb Dansak.

Have visited this take away many times and remains by far the best Indian Meal in the area. Dont be put off by the appearance from outside, the food and service are excellent .Only down side is that they only serve take away and you cant enjoy a meal in a restaurant enviroment

I have not used this take away for a while as the food was always poor quality. I have visited India a few times and love the food and culture. however I precipitate that this does not always transfer to the the UK.. Having looked at there new menu I thought that the were worth a new look. I was exited that they were doing a traditional "Thali" which in India is a selection of small portions of what is on the main menu with breads. I have always enjoyed this on my travels. To be fair there is going to be a difference between menus in India and the UK. However this is Dreadful!!. The vegetarian lacks a proper meal consisting of previously frozen veg. Also the non vegetarian has a "box" of dried out Tandoori chicken and meat lumps that are obviously from the day before therefore uneatable. And to add a large portion of "Basic nearly going off", yogurt to each meal is disgusting. Bread was good though. Nice people friendly service.

Well I am sorry to have to Wright this but it has become a shambles!!! the last 3 meals we have ordered have been wrong and when you travel 8 miles to pick up your take away is not acceptable to get home after going through the order to find out its incorrect on 3 consecutive occasions! and then get given the smallest of discounts as a good will gesture! just sort out you ordering its not hard! your food can be good your service is friendly but messing up orders is poor! and the people who have had our order must feel the same!

Was staying locally for one night and came across this Indian restaurant.Great service and even better food. The portions were generous and of good quality. We had the lamb nawabi and chicken makhani. Meat was cooked well and the makhani sauce was to die for!

Nehar is a take away restaurant. The restaurant have many varieties for indian dishes. The foods veryr nice and fantastic.

Amazing food and prices and the people who work there are so kind and polite! Sag aloo is to die for, so tasty and fresh. Portion sizes are perfect too.

What a great take away, staff so friendly and the food I order is always consistent.Before going to the Nehar we tried the other take away of this kind in the area and it was truly awful - never to be repeated!If you haven't been to Nehar then you will enjoy the food and service. I only wish that it had an 'eat in' space as well.

I have been getting food from Nehar for about 8 years and they have always been polite and friendly. Food is delicious and made fresh, which is why you have to wait half an hour sometimes.It is take-away only - I'd love it if they were a full sitdown restaurant because they are so good.

I rang to ask for delivery and was responded with a vile responce! Im a delivery driver myself and if a customer had spoken to me like that i would have reported them!! Luckily im not vile person but will never order from these horrible ppl ever!!!

We often have a take way from Nehar the food is always fresh & piping hot, it is also very good value & it is nice to get papadums, mint sauce & salad complimentary. The staff are always friendly & have a smile on there faces.

2 mains,2 sides,2 rice,2 naans & popadoms all for £20.We had our doubts on the way back to our holiday cottage but it was spot on!!

Had a take away last night as usual the gentleman that works front of house was happy & friendly always willing to chat. The food was freshly cooked & piping hot, always good value for money always lots of meat.

This is easily the best Indian takeaway in Lampeter, which has a dearth of good restaurants and takeaways for a university town.

We were on holiday in the area and decided to have a take away curry and glad we tried the Nehar friendly staff and good value for money the food was very tasty. we will use Nehar again when we are next in the area.

I recently moved to lampeter from london and was missing my weekly takeaway meal i didnt think anywhere could be as good as my old local one...but this was amazing very friendly staff excellent choice of dishes all freshly cooked to order and making a dairy free option for my son was no problem at all. You have to be patient as they say half an gour and it takes a bit longer but worth the wait. Best indian i have had

Great tasty food. I like the quirkiness of this place. I hadn't seen décor like this since the early '70's. Old Fashioned service, where you are seen to the door with your order.

I've been a loyal customer to Nehar for over 3 years and have never had a problem with the service or the food, great value for money, ignore the poor reviews it's fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!

This is really good restaurant quality food from a takeaway. All freshly cooked. Make sure you allow plenty of time and phone your order through - waiting times are around 45 minutes to an hour - but well worth the wait.

I've ordered takeaway food from Nehar's a few times now and am always pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of the food. I have never had any problems with my order and the staff are always absolutely lovely. I've never had to wait longer than the time stated when I place an order, and after the second or third time we went there, the staff remembered us, which is a nice touch. As is usual in Indian Takeaway places, poppadoms and dips are included for free with your order and if your order is over £10 then they give you an extra discount.

Friendly staff doesn't take long before they remember you from previous visits. Good tasty food. They will make suggestions for you and can actually tell you about the menu.

Nehar is the best Indian in Lampeter, FACT! The food is delicious and what's more the service is outstanding, I do not know how they do it but it seems they memorise everybody's name in Lampeter. I would recommend the Chicken Chat on Puree, and the Sag Paneer, delicious. Love u Nehar!!
