Went here last night, for two Birthday celebrations, my friends 65th, & my 80th.The food was nothing short of amazing, hot, good portion sizes, & lot's to choose from on the Menu. The king prawn sizzler I had was beautiful, & you could tell they were fresh. My fellow birthday girl, had a cheese nan among other things, that she said was fabulous, My Husband, wolfed his food down, & said he wouldn't hesitate to come back here again. We weren't rushed, were asked if we were ready for the next course. or did we want to rest for a while ( which we thought was so nice ) The new owner, could't do enough to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. This is a lovely Restaurant, affordable, & with a great atmosphere. Will see you again very soon, & hope you get lot's of Customers, as you certainly deserve it. The effort you've put into the Mountain Spice restaurant definately shows...Well done ! See you very soon.

This is one of the best restaurants in Ayrshire in my opinion reasonable price excellent food & good portions . The staff are very friendly & Treat you like a friend rather than a customer . If you are anywhere near Dundonald in Ayrshire I highly recommend you give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Food took longer than Ayreats app stated. Actually stated food was ready and out for delivery 1 hour before it arrived. Missing Calzone when the food did actually arrive (had to call the store to find out where it was). Delivery driver stated she was not given it. Called store again to be told it was the deliver drivers fault she had given it to another customer. Store did not realise I could hear then talking when the phone had been put down to find out what happened and the excuses being made. Was sent another one taking another 30 minutes. The food that had actually arrived was cold and tasteless. It actually all had to be thrown away. The Calzone arrived hot but due to this the food had stuck to the lid, ripping off leaving cardboard all over it as well as sticking to the bottom, not edible. Contacted the store for a third time and asked for a least half a refund. Got the "Owner" on the phone stating he had the Ayreats Owners phone number and would contact him on Sunday to sort out less than half a refund. Outcome don't bother with this store. The joke being I actually have used then 2 years ago and the food was decent.

Had freshly made Carrot & Corriander soup which was so tasty. Then vegetable curry with poppadoms flat bread and rice. Also had fish and chips which was super. It was top class... served by such a charming, friendly couple. Highly recommended... Thank you!

The food was excellent, as was the staff advice regarding a starter. The meal itself was really tasty and once again staff advice that one portion of pilau rice would be enough for two meals was spot on. Excellent service, first class. Large bottles of still water available on request. The background jazz music was definitely for the connoisseur, but in no way diminished a terrific dining experience.

It's good to have a new Indian restaurant in Ayr and this one has the advantage of reasonable prices, large helpings and 'Bring Your Own Bottle'. The food was good quality with a great choice and some regional specialities. Service was pleasant and attentive and the restaurant decor is reasonable. Will visit again.
