Yasmins in South Ayrshire

Have had a takeaway before and that was sublime... this time ate in and the food was every bit as good. Delicious and makes me only wish to go back again and again!

Rubbish food thrown away worst indian in 40 years can not say anything was any good even the breads were rubbish. Chips not delivered we are now having fish and chips

We had a family meal here last night and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our meal and the service. We had booked a table and arrived on time, we were initially disappointed to be seated at the table beside the door which was jarred open and the owner/front of house noticed our concern and advised that he could shut the door if we wanted. It was an extremely busy night with full tables and the takeaway service was really busy. All the staff were really attentive and we frequently commented on how friendly everyone was and that clearly lots of regulars visited which was a good sign. There were 5 of us and we all had something different and we all really enjoyed our meal. The quality of the meat was great. We spent 2 1/2 hours and we never felt that we couldn’t have stayed longer if we wanted to. The owner really knew his restaurant because the front door was never closed and we all felt really comfortable and not once did we feel cold. We would have felt too hot with it closed and all the people. We arrived as strangers but left feeling that we were friends. This is a rare experience and while we were waiting outside for our lift the owner came out to check we were ok. I got the impression that he made everyone who visited his restaurant feel like they were part of his family. We will return, my meal was fantastic.

We were given the name Yasmin’s as a recommendation before heading on a recent trip to Girvan and we definitely were not disappointed!! We called in to order takeaway as we’d just arrived and did not want to cook or eat in the restaurant and we were invited in to browse the menu and take our time, we were even offered the chance to rest and enjoy a pint while we browsed and we were given some local tourist information about places to visit in the area. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, especially when informed of my awkward food allergies!! They afforded me every consideration, the chef even came out to discuss them with me and they made me my choice of curry with alternative ingredients and it was delicious! I only wish there was a Yasmin’s closer to home.

Dined at yasmins today as I regularly do. The staff are fantastic always very helpful and pleasant. Food as always was 2nd to none I've eaten Indian food all over the world and yasmins in girvan is by far the best I've had! If I could rate it more than 5 stars I most definitely would. The staff were lovely, and that's the only reason this review isn't 1*. I ordered chana puri for starter, and was served a bright red gloopy curry on a chapati with undercooked chickpeas (some of which were solid). My partner ordered chicken pakoras, which tasted ok but some were burnt. Our mains were terrible. My curry tasted ok but had a long black hair in it. My partner was initially brought the wrong curry. They took it back in the kitchen then brought out the same curry with some chilli added a minute later. The naan was undercooked and greasy. When we left we also saw the server put the pickles we'd half used back on a tray of unserved pickles, so someone else was likely getting served something we'd already used too. Popadoms were ok I suppose!

Had a takeaway delivery. Very quick delivery. Reasonably priced. Food portions were really good we shared a curry, naam bread and rice and there was more than enough for two. The food itself was a bit disappointing compared to other indians I have been to. The bhuna was rather sweet and artificial red in colour and tasted quite bland as did the pilah rice not spicy at all. The poppadoms and garlic namm were lovely though. The meat in the curry was really tender too.

We had been looking for a nice place to eat while in Girvan and spotted Yasmins. We had two dogs with us and the owner was happy for us to bring them with us and gave us a choice of tables to suit both having dogs and a wheelchair user. The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. They were all also very friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent. The pace was leisurely enough that we could enjoy our food( this was particularly important as one of our party has lost her sight and takes longer to eat) but not too slow. We were never left waiting for anything. The actual food was amazing and the quality was excellent. We had a mix of Indian and western dishes and nobody left feeling like they had made the wrong choice. Portion sizes are very generous and the food was hot( temperature) when served. The cost of the meal was very reasonable(under £20 per head including drinks) We had an amazing evening and will definitely return to Yasmins when we are next in Girvan.

From walking through the door we were greeted by friendly, attentive staff in a lovely clean restaurant. Food was fabulous and we were quite happy with what we paid. Worth the drive to get there. We can't wait to return!

I had a dinner date yesterday with my husband for our wedding anniversary and I must say the food was scrumptious! We really enjoyed😊 The service is amazing and staffs are great.

Nice restaurant, I was recommended the Chilli Korela, and couldnt fault it. Staff were friendly, and the restaurant was spotless. Thought the price was very reasonable for the quality and quick service. This was my second time visiting and will be back and would recommend eating yhere to my friends.

What an amazing place. Service with a smile, food to die for and ' gemutlichkeit' in spades. Not to mention the 6...no make that 2 degrees of separation surrounding the South Australian connection. Something not on the menu....no problem. We can do that. Highly recommend Yasmins as it seriously delivered on some of the best, if not THE best Indian we have eaten....and that's saying something.!

My whole family loves Indian food and i can proudly say this is the best Indian food i’ve ever had! not only was the food hot and fresh, but the staff was so nice and accommodating. We got the buttered chicken, saag paneer, garlic naan, raita, and chicken tika bbq. Everything was 100/10. We would absolutely go back!!!

This place is a must for Indian food lovers! Food was amazing and the service was first rate. Super friendly bunch. Arrived at the restaurant on very cold Friday but received a warm welcome as we walked through the door. There were 5 of us in the party and we were seated promptly. Had poppadoms and spiced onions which were delicious. Starter came which were all very nice but a special shout to the chicken pakora, superb. Once again the main courses were all great but a special mention to the garlic chilli chicken as it was also superb, so fresh and flavoursome. Would highly recommend and shall return soon.

Beautiful food and lovely staff, booked a table for 8 people the day before. They pre warned us that they had a large party and it may be slightly noisy, we were fine with this and to be fair the atmosphere was great. I tried a completely new meal Tawa which was huge and very tasty, we had a mixed starter plate for 2 which did 3 of us and a king prawn South Indian garlic chilli which was incredible. We will definitely be back!
