Absolutely fantaatic food service and atmosphere. Staff very attentive and very welcoming as we entered restaurant. Food of a very high standard. Definitely going back real soon

Great food and great atmosphere

The food was amazing .. everything ordered was up to expectations. Except the spiced tea at the end, which was quite light and watery and would have been nicer if it was heavier. The atmosphere lacked anything to do with an Indian cuisine which is a shame as the Indian theme is absolutely beautiful and attractive. Would still go again and try other things in the menu. Prices were a bit towards to the high end but worth it for a good meal.

We went in for dinner tonight it’s our first time dining here , the service was excellent and the food was just amazing I can honestly say it’s our best Indian meal we have ever had . I don’t ever give reviews when dining out but felt I wanted to write about our experience tonight at Ayr India definitely worth a visit. Thanks also for the free bailys after dinner that was such a nice touch

It is a very expensive restaurant in Ayr near to the beach. The vegetable curry is one of the worst I've had. Pakora didn't look fresh, and the garnish was embarrassing. The dips also seemed a bit watered down. The spice onions were ok. Chicken tikka was enjoyed by the party as was the nan bread. Although we felt the curry sauce was also a bit too watery. The young girls working there put the effort in. The main hostess seemed a bit too overconfident and had many questions to ask, overstepping by asking what we do for employment. Drinks seemed flat and suspected out of 2 litre bottles. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. Everyone has their own preference and tastes, etc. It wasn't worth the drive from Glasgow. £95 seemed steep as no alcohol included, nor was it x4 two course meals either, but paying that price it should be exceptional. On this occasion, it wasn't. The view of the beach is nice, plenty of parking available. So disappointed.

Went in to a warm welcome and shown to a table overlooking the beach area. There was a large table in and another couple of tables. All seemed to be locals which is always a good sign. We’re asked what we would like to drink and then order taken. Food came out quick nicely presented and tasty. Then main course came out and again nicely presented and very tasty and fresh. Sharon the waitress came over with the bill when we requested it and was very friendly as we’re all staff. She chatted and made an interest in us and made us feel like people who mattered which was nice. All very good and would definitely go back if in area again and would highly recommend. She also told us about their restaurant in town which unfortunately we did not have time to visit.

Quality food, great service from the staff & a view to die for

Poppadoms and Nan Breads were lovely but at £4.50 for a plain Nan you’d expect that. The curry itself was the most watered down curry we’ve ever eaten. Such a shame as a lovely sea front position. Both curries were lacking flavour :-( - the chicken was tough and orange coloured like it had been cooked twice. Hate leaving bad reviews but it was a very costly curry and a huge disappointment

Consistently Amazing service, food, and ambience. Would recommend everything on the menu. Owner is astounding host, staff amazingly attentive.

Well I only popped in for a cup of tea.and an ice cream. The ladys were superb very friendly. The service was second to none.

Popped into order takeaway. Stunning views over the beach and sea. Really nice people running the restaurant who were lovely to chat to. Eating the food now. Delicious with generous portions. Did I mention the free large bottle of Cobra. I wish that we lived in Ayr, we would be regulars!

What a great experience. Food was excellent and fast. We had a window table and watched the sun go down over the beach. The service though was first class. Very friendly and interested in striking up a conversation even on a very busy Saturday night.

Barely entered we were given a very warm welcome. We were near of the huge window and the view was nice, even if it was rainy. The dishes were exceptional; seasoning, spices and flavours were well mastered, naans were massive and the cheese naan was really cheesy (like we had never seen before). Big thank you to all the staff.

Nothing to complain about . Our very first visit was impressive so will go back probably only if we get £11 deal

We had a really good meal here. The service is very friendly and accommodating, the food is first class and the view is unique. Gladly again next time.

We arrived early as we were going to watch football. The waitress was just magic. The banter was so much fun. We eventually ordered and the food arrived quickly. It was heaven on a plate. Good sized portions as well. I think it has to be the best curry I have ever tasted. Many thanks.

Very clean and the staff are very kind and friendly. They have a great view. I thought that the meats were overcooked and dry and a bit bland. This place was recommended. Maybe the cook was having an off night.

Views are amazing. Staff were super helpful. The food wasn’t anything special and it was very overpriced for what it was. I’ve had much better Indian food for half the price. They should definitely move to small plates and reduce the prices. Things like £1 per popadom is way too much. Just super expensive for food that was adequate.

Been a while since last visit.This is a fabulous restaurant with great sea views over to Arran.It is situated at the south end of Ayr Beach.Its on the first floor of a sixties style building the food is excellent on a varied menu.I would like to make special mention of the service received tonight which was really wonderful. Prompt, friendly and helpful with menu questions.Thank you Ayr India for a great dining experience. 🤗

Great Food ,service and staff. Cracking view, Loads of parking Surprised you have to pay for the popadoms as it’s not the cheapest restaurant I’ve been to, but to balance that up they offered us a drink at the end which is a nice touch. Certainly in the top 3 with Troons Maharani and Saltcoats Motherland of spice👍

Excellent takeaway service too. For wheelchair users: step-free from pavement to table, and from your table to the accessible toilet. Definitely recommended. And the food!

I have been to both of the Ayr India restaurants and really enjoyed my experiences at both locations. The menu has many options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, the merlot Is very nice and the masala chai tea with condensed milk. we ate lamb karahi, a paneer curry and the cheesy garlic and coriander nan and mushroom rice tonight and it was absolutely beautiful. I haven't visited for almost 5 years prior to tonight and remembered it was nice food ..seems I had forgotten just how nice . Our servers were wonderful too, quick, friendly and chatty..had a lovely evening at the seafront restaurant .

Delicious food relaxed friendly atmosphere

I have been going here with my friends for years and never had a bad experience until now. We all had different chicken dishes and each dish the chicken was hard and I could not eat any of it. The price was also an extra £30 in comparison to our usual bill. We will be finding a different restaurant.

A lovely warm welcome as usual with good prices and generous portions + a digestif on the house at the end to end the meal. I love it here and will be back soon!

Quality and quantity have both deteriorated.Our tikka literally had 3 chicken small cubes only ! We were staring each others faces. And when we tried Karahi, it was half cooked and when I told them, food was taken for 'recooking'. And we it came again, it was all same, but our naans got chilled by that time and had to quit our dinner. Had a terrible experience. Everyone there was least concerned. It was definitely not worth the price.

This place shuts at 10pm, do not trust the opening/ closing times. Came here from a long way, struggled getting up the stairs with my disabled Grandad to be told they do not serve food in the restaurant after 10pm! If you are disabled this is not the place for you. No lift to get up the stairs. Utter joke.

Lovely clean restaurant and staff were good but the food was very poor. We had a balti & bhoona & were unable to eat them they were that hot, asked for yogurt but this didn’t help much so ended up leaving most of the meal. Another lady at a different table had same problem & sent hers back. Told manager & he didn’t seem too bothered. Very expensive as well. Paid our bill & wont be back.

Con artists…will rip you off with the bill…make sure you check and get it itemised BEFORE paying!!! Take pictures of the menu and take pictures of food brought out and ate!! Each family spent £100…4 children….4 children’s meals….and charged for 5! And argued we ordered 5 kids meals….when proven wrong that we had only 4 children with us…then proceeded to say the men must have ate it! We come here every time we visit Ayr and this will be the last time!!!!! Very disappointing! The poor waitresses understood…but not the manager!!!

My first choice for a carry-out in Ayr.

Three visits in five days for wonderful times with our Ayr India Family. Even though we live over 300 miles away we still come and see them as much as possible. Food, service and banter brilliant. Thank you Narinder and all the gang. Love always

Nice Indian food in a great location over looking the water. I do have a soft spot for these 60s type concrete block buildings too!! I had a takeaway and ordered the South Indian garlic chicken tikka, naan bread, pilau rice and mixed tandoori starter. I found it to be very nice. It wasn’t the cheapest take away and probably come to about a fiver more than what I’d usually expect to pay for one person. However it did keep me going for a couple of days having a bit here and there away in the van. The service was friendly ! 🍛 🚐 🌊

Absolutely delicious!! We had butter chicken and bhuna and a massive garlic naan. Everything was finger licking good! Staff very very attentive and polite. Would be my favourite place if I lived around the area. Can definitely recommend.

Wow, what a find! Visting Ayr and spotted this place, thought we would give it a try and we are so impressed. A lovely warm welcome, superb views, ridiculously tastey food and perfect service. Cannot recommend this place more. Staff took the time to help with ordering around our dietary requirements and we felt very well looked after. Went to Ayr India Seafront and was really impressed. Staff were absolutely delightful, food was delicious and quite a lot of it. Service was quick. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely be back. Location over looking the beach was ace!

Great location by the water with big windows for a great view. Friendly staff and authentic food. We ate there during the yearly Air Show, soon definitely worth booking for that to watch the planes and eat in comfort.

Ayr India never disappoints. WE came from Canada to visit family and friends and have been to Ayr India 3 times now. Located down at the beach, the view over Arran is spectacular. Food and service is excellent. They actually stayed open for our party on one occasion when we had gone to a show. Then they offered us digestifs on the house. A class act from start to finish. Our friends Mik & Lorraine Shaw go often.

People here only know how to loot others, especially if you’re an Indian. They were overcharging for the stuff I ordered, and Then, when confronted, they started arguing. I wouldn’t recommend it.Rude staff and no basic decency, especially the guy at the bar. Highly disappointed 🙁

Really nice people and the food was fantastic

The food, customer service and view was great. The only downfall was not receiving an itemised receipt, instead you get a piece of paper with lots of prices on it and the total at the end. I always like to see what I’m paying for. I wish that I can get this the next time I dine at the restaurant.

Wow Delusional owner (son) - beach restaurant. I asked for a ‘fish’ curry for my main meal and when challenged for the ‘mush’ I received - it was simply fish pakora in my meal - I was given an elaborate explanation of how they cook...

Food was absolutely wonderful. I felt my vegan diet was no trouble at all to them, excellent service. My carnivore and vegetarian friends loved their food too. Beautiful views, nice atmosphere.
