What a hidden gem. The most incredible food and service. Authentic and delicious. Highly recommended. In our opinion, this is the best restaurant in Troon

Found this little gem of a place when we were wandering about the town.Lovely ambience in the restaurant attentive waiter. Went for the tapas not disappointed. Everything was very good including portion size. Great choice on menu also.

Food absolutely top class. Service leaves a lot to desired. Not given tapas menu unless you ask for it. At 9.30pm was given the bill without asking for it. Had finished food but may have wanted dessert/coffee or another drink but was not asked if we wanted it. Within a minute of being given bill without asking for it we were presented with card machine. At no point were we asked if we wanted anything else. According to website restaurant is open much later than this. We would have liked another drink but did not feel encouraged to have one. Went elsewhere. Not impressed with customer service! Need to make customers feel more welcome and valued.

The golf opening I have went to this restaurant with my friends through the golf open when We loved the food and service the menu was bit pricey but the food make it all worth paying for it best lamb chops i ever had definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves Indian food

No denying that this is a fantastic curry house, previous reviews speak for themselves. However it is really sad that a restaurant that has been built up and supported by locals feel it's appropriate to rip them off by doubling prices for one week during the open. The worst bit is recognising your regulars, letting them sit down without warning so they are then too embarrassed to question 22 pounds for a basic curry. Insult to injury to then turf them out before the plates are even cleared so you can skank even more folk in the little time you have left. I hope one week of profit was worth alienating all your loyal customers.

Dined here with 2 family members and a friend. Easy to book online and initial service friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty and on the whole portion size fine. HOWEVER - the doubling in price of the food and drink, because of The Open, was shocking!! We had 4 main curries, 1 starter, poppadoms and chutneys to share(tiny portions for 4 to share), 6 pints, and 2 bottles of non-alcoholic beer. This cost us just under £200!!!! We had booked a 2 hour slot from 8pm to 10pm but finished earlier. Our table was cleared, and we were told in no uncertain terms to "clear off"! However, we were still waiting for 2 members of the group to finish their beers. This waiter was rude, and this service is NOT acceptable! We have been here before and had a nice time, but the commercial exploitation this restaurant practiced because of the golf tournament is disgusting and totally taking advantage! We are locals and will seriously consider whether we ever eat here again.

Absolute greed led this restaurant to double prices for the duration of the golf. We arrived late evening so had limited alternatives once we had seen the "new" menus. This practise reflects poorly on the town. I only hope the locals appreciate the harm to local tourism and avoid this restaurant in future.

Excellent experience in 3 Idiots. 4 tapas per couple was ideal. Staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

We had starters, main course and a few beers for £40 per head The whole experience was spoiled by a totally disinterested staff. Right from the moment we arrived until we left. They were slow. As a fan of 3idiots in Ayr, we thought we’d try the new Troon restaurant. On arrival, after standing about at the door, we interrupted a couple of staff at the bar to say we had a booking, told to go and find a free table, which we eventually did in the busy restaurant. Waited a few minutes more to be brought menus, then a good while longer for our order to be taken. Our starters, followed by our mains came pretty sharp, and food was amazing, as expected 3idiots standard of food. We’d decided we wanted to order a couple more drinks after the meal, a mango lasi and a liquor coffee, the girl clearing the tables said she’d come back to take the order. After 15 mins waiting, and unable to get anyone’s attention when they walked by, when we finally did, we decided just to give up and settle the bill. The restaurant was fairly quiet by now. I did try and leave a 10% tip, regardless of the poor service, told I couldn’t add it to the card payment. I then asked if she could split a £10 into 2 x £5, she wasn’t sure if that was allowed, but we eventually managed to force a tip to them. Very strange. Anyway, food was amazing. Service was poor and unfriendly, think we’ll stick to Ayr from now on.

If you are not accepting card payment tell us in advance We had a beautiful meal, we could not fault the food or the service until it was time to leave We asked for the bill we sat our card on the table only to be told “ the card machine was broken “ “ again??? “ this is not the first time we have been told this is in this restaurant!! We asked why we had not been told upon booking or upon entry. Shoulders were shrugged and we were told there was a cash machine nearby 1: there isn’t 2: the one there is charges to withdraw cash 3: it was pouring Totally unacceptable ( for the record upon checking later they had called the number used to book but left no message - useless ) Sorry but simply not good enough in this day and age. Either get a new card provider if your machine is this unreliable or be honest when customers arrive and state that , for whatever reason, you are only taking cash We would have gone elsewhere as a matter of principle F

Great venue, great food, great service, however, when we sat down we were told “oh by the way, it’s cash only, hope that’s okay” Well actually it’s not okay and the nearest non charging cash point is at Morrisons

Had heard good things about 3idiots and as we were going to event in Troon decided to book a table for dinner at 3idiots. Booked well in advance, confirmation received and was looking forward to meal. On arrival at 6pm on a Saturday night restaurant wasn’t busy. Adviced waitress we had reservation which was checked and was then told it was cash only. I had intended on paying with debit card and didn’t have enough cash on me so was directed to 2 cash machines (1 at Morrisons that had to be driven to & 1 outside a store that charged £1.55 to withdraw) had we been advised that it was cash only prior to standing in restaurant at the time of our booking then this would not have been an issue but there is no mention of this on website, booking confirmation or anywhere else that I can see. Told them we didn’t want the table and left, we weren’t about to go running about looking for a working cash machine, put a complete dampener on our evening and we ended up going for a take away that happened to take debit card!!!

Pleased to find that the restaurant had just started opening for Sunday lunch. The lady serving us couldn’t be nicer and more helpful. Food was terrific again and our little granddaughter was very impressed! Can’t recommend the lamb chops too highly …..

Had wanted to come here for a while but usually does not open till 4.00pm. However they are currently trying opening at lunchtime on weekends so took our chance and we were not disappointed. Food was absolutely wonderful and Sam, our waitress was friendly, attentive and lovely. Will definitely be back sooner rather than later

What a wonderful evening my family had to celebrate a 70th Birthday, we don’t get the chance to meet up very often so it was a special occasion. I think it was Sam who greeted us and looked after us for the evening. What a lovely person, she was fantastic. When we arrived at our table they had put a birthday banner up and decorated the table. That was such a lovely gesture. The food was amazing, every dish has its own unique flavour and everyone enjoyed their meal. Thank you so much for making it a night to remember

We visited here for the first time for our Christmas lunch catch up, the food was delicious as always ( we usually go to the Ayr restaurant) our server Sam was lovely, very attentive. The restaurant is located in an excellent location in the heart of Troon the decor in the restaurant is lovely - decorated to a very high standard and spotless clean. We look forward to going back here very soon I highly recommend this place if you like a good quality Indian meal. Very well done to this restaurant ownerwe were very impressed.

Staying local for an overnight and looked at local reviews ! This restaurant stood out on both food and service - and we experienced that first hand !
