The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

One of the top spots for authentic Indian cuisine in the area. The food is outstanding—highly recommend the Potato 65, Paneer makhni, and even the mock meat dishes, which are surprisingly delicious. Service is exceptional: professional, fast, and friendly. There’s on-site parking, a solid selection of drinks, and prices are reasonable. A definite 10/10 from me. Just make sure you have a reservation for the weekends, you know they’re doing things right when they’re always full!

The Worst biryani I’ve ever eaten. It’s better to have plain rice. At least learn how to make a proper biryani.

(Did not put atmosphere because had takeaway and didn’t put service because wasn’t served technically) We gone here sometimes not all the time but every time the starter is amazing the main like the tikka and korma are delicious,the naan bread is always soft and fresh and affordable to would highly recommend.

My daughter ordered a takeaway for 3 on 6 April because she thought the reviews were ok. However the food delivered was not warm and mediocre and poor value. Will not use again

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES. We went and were told (very rudely) that we can not eat there at all with an allergy. My 10 year old daughter was made to feel like she had done something wrong because she had a allergy.

Keema naan was really stodgy, the curry we left because it was quite tasteless, I understand it’s a basic curry mix, I will make my own next time and save £17. We have used punjabs for many years.

Had another lovely take away last night from the Tandoori Cottage . The food was perfectly cooked, arrived on time and was nice and hot.

Superb food, warm and welcoming hosting and a relaxed venue

Have been looking forward to finally going to experience Mowglis. Unfortunately was disappointed overall. Restaurant decor and aesthetic is good, very charming that's almost where the good stuff ends. We opted for the £25 sharing offering. The chat bombs were undeniable good, credit where credits due. Sadly everything else was lacking. Gun powder chicken was Luke warm and as for calling it gunpowder...well the gunpowder was damp today ! Mildly spiced boarding bland. The other curries which you accept will be chosen for you were all chicken. The chicken in both curries were cooked to death. To cook chicken thighs to that point takes some doing. The sauces on both were ok but immediately forgettable. Rice...bland no flavour ! Roti breads ok. Chick peas fairly pleasant but nothing to get wild about. Food arrived prompt but everything else service wise was slow and clumsy. Such a shame really. Could be great but not today

All the staff was kind, especially Ali who was helpful. The food was savoury.

Terrible Experience - Ice Cold and Old Food! I recently visited this place, hoping for a taste of authentic Malayali cuisine and ordered their non-veg oonu. What a massive disappointment! The food was shockingly cold, especially the rice which felt like it had just come out of the fridge. It tasted and felt like it was days old. Honestly, I've had better meals cooking at home with limited skills. This was the worst food experience of my life. Save your money and time, and definitely avoid this place. You're better off making a simple meal at home. Absolutely dreadful.

My order took over 2 hours to arrive. When I called the restaurant they assured me I would receive my order very soon and after half an hour I called again, they said the driver was arriving any second which was 20 minutes before my order actually arrived. The driver refused to come to my flat door, instead waiting for us to come and find him. The food was good but not worth all the hassle. Very disappointed.

I paid the full amount when I opened the tea cup. It's a half cup of tea . Just throw away . It's 3rd time. Never ever visit them .
