Bibiana Lounge in Ashfield

Just had a fabulous meal nothing too much trouble, celebrating hubby's 65th birthday, turns out it was also Mohammeds who runs the restaurant birthday too ( only he's much younger)

First visit to my son's new local Indian restaurant after his recent move to the area. Already we are looking forward to another fabulous meal on our next visit. Wide range of options on the menu: some very spicy, some not so hot and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

My favourite local Indian restaurant, always friendly and welcoming, our last visit was a large group booking at last minute, nothing was a problem and we was accommodated quickly, food is great and priced fairly :)

The worst meal I’ve ever had in my life! We ordered a king prawn karahi and vegetable Biryani with a vegetable curry which was cold when it arrived and full of oil! Disgusting. The photos I’ve attached is the veg curry which comes with the Biryani - the curry was that bad it curdled in the container.. the king prawn dish looked the same with zero flavour or spice .. just oil and more oil.

Best Indian restaurant in Nottingham staff are lovely food is unbelievable and it doesn't break the bank I would definitely recommend this restaurant 5*

Just returned home after a beautiful meal with my daughter, The food was delicious the service first class and such a clean welcoming restaurant we definitely felt welcomed with friendly staff. Please give it a try if you like well cooked delicious food ,definitely the place to go with friends ,

It's ok. Not an Authentic food Indian restaurant. I can see it's target market, curries that are bland made from pre made sauces you get from the supermarket. First time visiting with a group of 8, walk-ins and accomodating for a short period as we hadn't booked. We had just under 1 HR 30 mins to order, eat and vacate. That's all fine and appreciated 👍. Each costing £20, it's good value, serving drinks in recent decorated venue. Short staffed but getting on with looking after the customers. I'll visit again to check up on the decor and food as long as it's authentic proper desi style curries.

A family-run restaurant that clearly takes pride in delivering an excellent quality service. Bibiana houses a wonderfully welcoming and warm atmosphere, serving up fresh, authentic and satiating meals that are packed with diverse flavour profiles. As we were open-minded, we went by staff recommendations, which was very helpful, and in the end, we were advised to sample the items from their Traditional Menu (Jalfrezi, Tikka Masala, Karahi and Bhuna). Next time, we look forward to trying out even a greater range of items off the menu, especially at such reasonable pricepoints. Our advice to you, do order the Masala Chips! Finally, we were so pleased by the attentiveness of the staff and their faultless service. Thank you to the entire team, and especially Mohammed, whose kindness and professionalism made our first visit so special. And so, we absolutely recommend Bibiana, and promise to return sometime in the near future!

Been coming to Bin for a lot of years, mainly with my husband and family. Today my daughter decided to throw her works Christmas party here. Was very disappointed because when I come here, I ALWAYS order the chicken shashlik. This come out on a hot sizzling plate and the spices and garlic create a juice that means although it is a dry dish it's very succulent and tasty and no need for a sauce. Tonight my shashlik came out as a dry tandoori chicken which I did not order and the heat was not even. I e it was clear it had been precooked then microwaved. I left most of it. I did query this and was told at first by a member of staff that this was ordered and I did not order the shashlik. Then I was told a shashlik does not come out on a hot plate at that restaurant. Very bizarre as I've never had it any other way , anywhere, including Bibiana. When the bill came I saw on the bill that it said chicken shashlik. I asked the manager what was a chicken shashlik. He explained it's the dry dish on the sizzling plate. I then explained to the manager in charge that we aren't quibbling the bill we will pay in full but very disappointed because I didn't have the shashlik and was fobbed off. He then tries to say the shashlik doesn't come on a sizzling plate all of the time so I proceeded to tell him that it was clearly microwaved. This was a Monday night and not busy by the way! Our table of 6 had been booked for two weeks. To be fair he apologised. We paid in full, as I don't believe in not paying a bill just because something was not good. I had the meal, albeit left half of it . The manager did offer me a brandy on the house but I declined. Although I appreciated the sentiment. My point is, being fobbed off when I ordered the same dish I always do! Over the years I have found the food and it pace of service hit and miss but no one can fault the politeness of the staff. I just wish the y would have held their hands up at the beginning.

Wednesday offer amazing value and food was superb. The staff have increased in warmth and welcome and now only place I'd eat Curry in Hucknall

This restaurant is amazing, great value for money, especially on a Wednesday and Sunday 3 courses for less that £12. Food is very tasty Staff are very attentive and helpful, we are usually offered a free drink on the house, after the meal too.

Excellent food, excellent service and value for money.

Last few times we visited the food was excellent. This time not so good. We rather got used to being barked at by the waiters as the food arrives.

Paid a visit to Bibiana for my granddaughter’s birthday 15 people they did a great job food was excellent.

Terrible experience, rude staff, awful atmosphere- avoid at all costs! The place was a mess and they filled the room from the outside in to make it look busy! We walked out without even sitting down. Lots of better places within 5 miles so I’d do your research and give your hard earned money to someone who appreciates it!

Brilliant food, great prices and service

First timer to Bibiana, and went with a few people who are regulars. Very nice restaurant, roomy and welcoming staff. Swift service and the food was delicious it was a Saturday night and was very busy and we were sat between two huge party tables which made it very noisy but it didn't put me off, we just had to lip read over the loudness.

Bit useless really. They open at 1800 but wouldn't allow us to book a table until 1830.

Not happy! Food delivered but with missing rice. Phoned restaurant to be told you will have to come and get it but then rest of food will be cold. Ruined the meal thanks alot

Poppadoms was thin. Sauces watery. Chicken tiki looked like Tandoori. Peshwari naan had no almonds & sultanas In it. Pilau was cold. The staff was ignorant 😒 that is speaking for the 4 of us.

Excellent,well cooked food, wonderful service. Atmosphere is probably better when more customers, we went on a Tuesday night which is maybe one of their quieter nights.Parking is just across the road,wheelchair friendly, definitely will go again.

Ate the most disgusting lamp biriyani ever. Found part of a kitchen dish washer brush coil in the food. Prepared in a hurry and I'm sure no salt was added. The staff was talking and laughing louder than the customers. Not recommended

Ordered via just eat driver cba finding house got soaked 3 times going out looking for them. One meal was inedible had frozen reheated chicken in it had to bin it. Complained to just eat no refund as clearly you can’t see that chicken is chewy inedible from a photo absolute joke of a place won’t be using just eat anytime soon either 😡👎

A superb restaurant to meet for a meal with attentive staff

Excellent service, so friendly, helpful. An extensive menu with each dish well described. I love a mild/medium & sweet curry, so chose a Chassni. Absolutely delicious, and can't wait for our next visit! By the way, the fact that the restaurant was full to bursting shows how good the food is and how popular the restaurant is. A big thank you to the table staff and chef for a wonderful meal experience.

The food is usually good quality however recently the takeaway service has let the restaurant down. Guy that takes telephone orders is doing too many other things at the same time as taking your order. He is rudely talking to other people and asking for you to repeat yourself repeatedly. Last occasion I had to quote my payment card three times before he got it right. Recently we have received the wrong takeaway order on two separate occasions and when you’ve dished up and everyone else is eating, then what can you do. Decided to use Just Eat on the last occasion as you get to write down your own order. Guess what! A Lamb dish arrived as chicken! Normally love the food here but if they can’t get orders right, might have to look elsewhere. Never had this problem with any other takeaway service ever. It’s more of a lottery than takeaway.

Took myself out for dinner date & had such a great experience! The lamb chops i had as starter were so tasty & loved the way it was served with salad. The king prawn dish had big juicy prawns full of flavour and plenty of pila rice(had to take some home). Staff were very welcoming & friendly & i loved the way the manager treated the young lady at the bar. I will definitely return. Appreciate this experience. Gracias 😊

Delivery Ordered for a 7 pm delivery this quickly changed to 7:30. Food did not arrive until 8:55 nearly 2 hours after my originally requested delivery time and an hour and a half after the first confirmed delivery time. Service My husband called multiple times and was repeatedly told the driver left 2 minutes ago. A little honesty on our first call and we would have canceled our order and collect from our local instead. Food quality The food was barely warm when it got to us. Except weirdly the mango chutney was very hot and watery. The Daal had a burnt garlic taste to it, couldn't eat it. The Prawn tandoori main looked like it was a starter portion, but we didn't eat it. The prawns were mushed up and had a concerning sour fishy taste to them like they were old or 'off'. My husband ate one prawn and said it tasted bad, I tried a bite and spat it out. We decided not to risk getting food poisoning and stopped eating. The naans were the highlight. Apparently, bread is had for even this place to mess up.

I went here for new years eve. The customer service was friendly that's why I gave 1 star The food is bland no spices at all Madras was like a korma Chicken Biriani it was like a savory packet rice from tesco absolutely no taste. I did tell them when they collected my plate I had left all my meal as was just tasteless they never acknowledged me. Chips where deep fried in old fat Discusting non eaten. 2nd star for nan breads were nice but 1 was burnt Hidden underneath another There was 8 of us And we will not be returning Sorry you really need a new chef Really disappointed

Great food lots of choice all the old favorite dishes as well as new ones. Went new years eve so it was busy but once sat down food kept rolling out. Well done guys a great night

My son booked 2 weeks in advance a table for 7 people,arrived at the restaurant to be shown to a table set for 6,we said we had booked for 7 so they put a chair at the end of the table,not acceptable as there wouldn’t have been enough room for us all.Staff totally disinterested,so we left,shame as we had eaten here before and the staff were nice,anyway managed to get a table at The banyan tree in Arnold and the food was fantastic. .

Good food excellent value..Definitely worth a visit

Four of us had poppadoms, starters, main course, rice & naan plus two rounds of drinks. The food was excellent as was the service. The value for money outstanding as the bill came to less then £100. I’ve been here a few times but I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We popped in last night for the first time. A warm welcome from the staff, who were attentive and friendly. Food was great and pleasantly surprised when the bill came as I was expecting it to be more! Will definitely be back! 💯

Phoned at 8:45pm last Saturday evening managed to book a table for 10:30 it was very quiet but it was late, the food and the service was excellent, very reasonably priced will definitely be returning.

We’ve been twice in the last few months the first time was with around 10 of us the food was really nice no complaints from any of us the staff weren’t great but in my eyes your not eating with the staff they did their job. Then again last night 11.10.2022 with my husband and our friends food again was great mix meat starter was really nice as was it all the man serving us we thought might be the manager/owner who was very nice and chatty couldn’t do enough for us the server didn’t really speak but you don’t need them to it didn’t affect our night the portions were good and the price very good we will deffo be going back and worth a try

Absolutely rubbish service! Sat for an hour after ordering with nothing, when we chased our meal the waiter didn’t want to know so we asked again and was told to get out they didn’t need our custom by the manager! We did and won’t be going back

Visited with colleagues. Food is always lovely here, as are the waiting staff. Its a pity the same can't be said for the manager on duty at the time. Very grumpy and unaccommodating. The bottled mixers served are always served warm, whereas if you order a bottlrd soft drink- that's really cold?! Also, they charge £1.50 per takeaway box to take your own food home. I have never known this anywhere. I will reiterate, the food is lovely.

Went on Sunday for the deal poppadoms and sauces excellent starter not so much main was Prawn Masala 3 so called prawns never seen prawns so straggly not a normal curled prawns more like a grub absolutely horrible... and a cheeky £2.50 surcharge for seafood...masala so sweet couldn't eat it....most staff ignorant apart from one.... had to ask 3 times for bill no thankyou or anything won't be going bk 😡

Great for dining in or takeout also delivery is am option within a certain radius...the food is fresh and tasty...always a pleasure for the senses...and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend.

Popped in here late last night for a meal, they were about to close but said they’d do us a main meal each as we hadn’t eaten. The food was amazing, the naan bread was to die for. Great food, amazing staff, 100% can’t fault this restaurant. If you haven’t been then please do, you won’t be disappointed!!

Ok but not outstanding. Good service and they corrected my order quickly. Maybe my menu choice but the two dishes were on the bland side. Slightly lacking in comfort and atmosphere.

Pompadoms ok, onion baji very small ,average two mouth fulls per baji, Served with a tablespoon of manky very Finley chopped rotting lettuce. Garlic Nan bread was lovely , That's were it ends Chicken rogan josh was fried chicken in stewed tinned tomatoes no taste flavour, horrid . when complained told this is how its made ???? was never offered dessert or coffee just bill and away ???

If you've not been here yet,you don't know what your missing. Absolutely gorgeous food at good prices.The staff are friendly and are happy to answer any questions about their dishes. Try it,you won't be disappointed if you like quality food.

Tried Bibiana Lounge for 1st time for a takeaway never again, two portion of mushroom rice ordered one had no mushrooms, mixed korma had three tiny prawns, three small pieces of lamb and no chicken carton was just filled with curry sauce, the cheese and garlic naan had no cheese was dry and overdone. I will stick with the Banyan tree in future.

We can walk to the Bibiana in less than five minutes so when we fancy an Indian this has become the place we always go. We often go on Wednesdays when they offer a very good fixed price option that is great value. The staff are friendly and the food is good. They also serve a good cold beer! We probably wouldn't go there for a special occasion but as a regular haunt, which is value for money it is very good.
