The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

We booked, half a dozen, for 6pm, arrived early, already busy! Sat in foyer, drinks ordered! Some family & works dos in full swing! Obligatory pappadoms & chutneys - then an array of curries with rice, chapattis, naan & my fave, paratha! All seemed to fully enjoy, bit of dish swapping, lot of goss & yarn spinning. Ready to go around half 8/nine! 2 drinks each, with a good tip for great food & service! £35 each!

Very expensive for what we would usually get for £20 cost us £60, forgot to include the garlic nans and after going back they still tasted very plain. Curry was nice but again really small portion of chips and onions bhajis.

I visited this establishment the other day prior to going to the Warrington rugby match. My order was tandoori chicken, followed by a spicy and tasty lamb madras with pilau rice, followed by a lovely kulfi ice cream, all washed down by a pint of Cobra beer. The food was excellent. The top notch service was provided by Amin who I have known for many years from a previous restaurant was really customer focused and very friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed and this was helped by the owner serving some of the customers himself, whilst in the meantime interacting with everybody else. I thoroughly enjoyed my excellent experience at the Ozmi restaurant and I can highly recommend it.

I recently ordered takeout from Shahi Palace, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! I opted for the chicken tikka masala, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, with tender chicken pieces cooked in a creamy. The service was excellent; my order was ready promptly, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. As a surprise, they included complimentary drinks with my meal, which added a lovely touch to my dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Shahi Palace for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine.

Wish there were 10 stars for service. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was great. The kids had a guided ghost tour of the oldest building in kippax, they were mesmerised. Thank you.

I recently visited Maharani Restaurant and really enjoyed the experience. The food tasted just like home cooked Kerala Meals. I tried the beef fry with porotta it was spicy, crispy and full of flavor. The place was clean and had a nice Kerala vibe.The staff were polite and helpful. Overall, great food and a good place to enjoy authentic Kerala dishes.

Excellent food nice and clean and the staff are very friendly and polite on the food the lamb balti and the prawn korma where cooked to perfection will definitely be paying them a another visit

This was my first time here but my wife had been 20 yrs ago. Service was excellent, food was the same. We were a party of 5 ordering ,all ordered different dishes. all the food the came at thesame time and piping hot. Would visit again.

Ordered a chicken korma in store for takeaway. Got home and it just tasted like pure coconut couldn't even taste any curry. Rang the restaurant to give them a chance to rectify the issue. They brang a new one delivered and it was exactly the same if not worse. Terrible experience. I used to order here regularly and it was good.

Wow wow wow! Me and my family absolutely love it here! Food is amazing and a large quantity given unlike other curry houses. Reasonable price for what you get, couldn’t recommend enough 😃
