Customer service is unbelievable the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to in Northampton. The food is exceptional and don't just offer the normal Indian menu they have a wide choice to choose from. Keep up the great work and I'll see you again soon

Dinning in ok but delivery food is not something of Indian taste..gravy is often less spicy but this time it was sweet even chutney served with paneer Tikka was also sweet. Restaurant should provide a customisation option so that we can choose the spice level. Now if I talk about a particular dish, "Kadahi paneer" did not have a single dice piece of capsicum on delivery however when I was dinning it was good.

I have visited this place few times but never got chance to write review. Everytime I visit this, it amazes me it's taste. I haven't finished trying their all of the dishes but some of them are my all time favourite e.g. tikka starters, vegetable fried rice with spring onion is really awesome. Other include Manchurian, Chinese noodles, and chicken lollipop. Few items like jeer fried rice quantity is low. Overall vegetarian items quantity is a bit low than non-vegetarian. Recently I celebrated my wife's birthday here and our guests were very happy with the food.

Thought I would treat myself to a curry and was not disappointed. Starters and mains were delicious, service was great and staff could not do enough.i will definitely ea here again.

Been here quite a few times, food is very good but the service is not acceptable Last couple of times we have been they have tried to overcharge us and put someone else’s bill onto our order, I always have to check the bill over and get them to recalculate it. This is not on, I know times are hard but we shouldn’t have to double check a bill when we come to pay.

The food was good but the service is pathetic.The manager was wandering and he is not listening us. The waitress done her work nicely but the manager attitude was disappointing.

What a lovely place to eat ! We found this place by accident a month ago and have been back 3x .Food is lovely, service is fantastic and the price is very reasonable .The man who showed us to our seats was really nice and the serving staff couldn't of beed nicer .Would recommend this restaurant plenty of space around your table and lots of Indian families see to use it which in my opinion is a very good sign !

The owner Arvind has taken special care to ensure he gives the customers the real feel of the popular Indian cuisine which means the quality standards are very high. Enjoyed a very pleasant Indian meal here, spicy, tasty and good portions. As well as an extensive menu, there are plenty of vegetarian starter and mains options, and a welcoming atmosphere. There has been an Indian restaurant on this site before under various names which I attended a few times but "Aroma of India" looks like it is under new management and I found a lot better. Noticed a number of Indian folk eating here which must be a good sign regarding authenticity of the cuisine. Prices reasonable as well, so will be back again very soon.

I ordered food for collection: Arom’a’s special chicken Chilli Paneer X2 The main (Aroma’s special chicken) it was so sweet even though they call it spicy, plus the worst part is they put (tandoori chicken) in the curry. The same chicken- piece they use for starters. WOW. It’s like chicken tikka in tomato puree. If you are looking for Indian food please don’t get fooled. Paneer tikka was exactly 3/4 pieces of paneers in a portion - we ordered two portion and still not enough for a person. Too sweet again. I would not recommend a visit as the food is too sweet and doesn’t serve right. Portion is too small. Definitely not the Indian food cheff.

Came to this eatery based on the reviews and safe to say that this is a GEM of a place in Northampton. The service is outstanding with the staff and owner being so attentive and the venue is pleasant and clean. The food is AMAZING and certainly the best we have had in the town for Authentic Indian food. All starters were superb (Paneer Tikka, Veg Manchurian, Chilli Paneer, Chicken Seekh) and the Hyderbadi Fish starter is a MUST, never had anything like that before and you can see why its a best seller. We tried the Saag Chicken and Egg Biryani also which were both superbly spiced and made and generous portions too. The naans and rotis are super too. Look forward to going back again! Absolutely delicious!! If you ever want to try real Indian cuisine, Aroma of India is the go-to place! We'd highly recommend any traditional dish but if you're unsure, just ask the staff or owner, they'll happily help you! Finally, make sure you finish your dinner with a Gulab Jamun, pure delight! We'll be back!

Amazing experience, I ordered the Paneer Makhan Masala along with 3 garlic naans. The food portions were great and it seemed like we were getting value for our money unlike some other places. The Paneer Makhan Masala was creamy and melted in our mouth and the naan was soft. The only downside is during busy times there is a rush of people causing the food arriving times to be delayed ( 15-30 mins) but I would definitely say that the wait is worth it.

Very poor service by staff, food is not very tasty and taking long time to serve the food. Also the chef is clearing the tables and is such a bad situation were they don't even hire enough staff.

One of the worst food I ever had in my life, I have ordered in delivero from this restaurant noodles and prawn masala. But they have provided with the noodles which had 1 litre of oil. Prawn masala I have never seen like this dish anywhere in the world, fully they added tomato sauce in the prawns. It was very horrible food in this place. I will not recommend this place to anyone and I will not give one star also.

very good service. returned here after a while and the staff was wonderful, greeted me at the front door and found me he perfect seat. good lighting too- not too dark or bright. the food was authentic and tasted very much like that of home, the wait time was not too long either. the waiters were very polite and recognised us from last time; hope to come again soon :)

Ordered for the first time here tonight as someone recommended them to me . It took 1.20 to get here .food was cold some warm .didn't get any salad with it . When I did ring to see were my order was they told me that they only had 1 driver ,I understand that thy might have bin busy but if they new that then why only have one driver ... I won't be ordering from there again unfortunately 😕

Came here on a Saturday night while back in town visiting an old friend. Food was absolutely fantastic and we both agreed that it couldn't be bettered. Even the red wine of which I ordered a single glass was superb. I had eaten here before but that was back in the mists of time and I certainly don't recall it being this good. Change of name, change of ownership perhaps? For me it was the second best ever curry I'd eaten in Northampton. The other place is long closed, so Aroma currently holds top spot for being the best this side of 1995!

Good authentic indian food. Affordable prices and lovely staff and food however, the takeaway portions are quite small for the price and in comparison to other indian takeaways. Would still recommend just be aware of this. Naan was also quite burned but still tasted okay.

Not authentic Indian. Clear influence of Bangladeshi style of cooking. Have ordered paneer butter masala, palak paneer, chhole. All of them had a peculiar influence of balti dishes. Would not recommend for authentic Indian. Disappointed :(

Been talking of going for an ‘eat as much as you like’ Sunday buffet meal for a few weeks now. Came across this restaurant yesterday, so decided to book a table for today. First time we had been here (came once when it was the previous owners). It was especially nice as we didn’t hv to leave our table once we sat down. Normally with buffet meals you have to leave the table to go n help yourself to food. Here, it is all brought to the table for you. Waiter very attentive. Good choice. Plenty of it. All in all, couldn’t fault it. We all said we would definitely visit this pleasant restaurant again!!!

I ordered food for my whole family and it came straight to my door, the food was very good and perfectly priced, the delivery did not even take that long, i live in NN5 and it took 20 minutes to get to me

This place is amazing. I went here for a trip earlier and saw the eye catching sign “aroma of India” and a Punjabi statue outside almost as if it was welcoming you in. The atmosphere inside was good with a dark crimson theme and the lights added to the ambience. So the setting was good however what really matters is the food. It was a Friday night so it was kind of busy and the food took quite long to come (around 20 minutes) but when it came it was fresh and worth the wait. The naan was soft and a bit crunchy, the butter chicken melted in my mouth and the mixed grill was steaming. We accidentally over ordered but the staff packed it for us to take home. Overall the experience was very nice and I would highly recommend others to come here but be prepared to wait a little bit on busy days however the wait is definitely worth it.

PERFECT INDIAN CUISINE. I recommend you come here if you want authentic indian food, no other place in Northampton is like this! I came here for my cousins birthday and we were 5 people the waiters were amazing and so was the chef, this is very clean restaurant as well!

Sunday set menu lunch - terrific value and they accommodated the vegetarians without a fuss. There was plenty of delicious food with the option to ask for more, which we didn't need to do. Will definitely go there again.

Good spicy food. We ordered veg manchurian, veg biryani, butter naan, Bombay aloo and mango lassi. All the dishes were tasty. I loved the mango lassi the most.

We lives in Milton Keynes and we decided to try new indian restaurant out side of Milton Keynes and after searching on Google we found aroma of India in Northampton 30 mints from central Milton Keynes on car. It was really good experience real Indian test and great staff will definitely recommend to visit.

We booked a table for Saturday night and really didn't need to bother as the restaurant only had 3 tables in use and wasn't busy at all. We got sat near the back of the restaurant, almost near the toilets and storage area where they were taking the Deliveroo orders. Hmm, not really a good start. Service was tentative but a little slow. We ordered pre-drinks and some poppadoms which arrived quite quickly. After that we actually thought they had forgotten to come and take our mains order. We had to ask to order. I ordered the chicken bharta and my wife ordered a chicken korma, with pilau rice. Both dishes arrived quickly and was fresh and tasty albeit quite small portions. We were also brought 2 extra poppadoms as they had noticed one of the ones we originally ordered we left as it wasn't cooked. We ordered coffees and the bill at the same time as we knew would have a wait for the bill. They seemed a bit under staffed as the manager was doing everything whilst the chef was also clearing and resetting tables. To sum up, good food, service a bit slow, understaffed and on the night there was more concentration on all the deliveroo orders coming in than the customers in the restaurant. Not sure at this stage if we will have a return visit.

I can vouch for the food because I have tried and can say that is fresh, so maybe you can also try and decide. While Mr Aravind will receive you with a smile and take you to your seat, Mr. Babulal will do his wonders and make you smile with the food. Once again thank you very much for hospitality and the service to the staff, I have come few time and will be coming even more in the future.

I came here with my family recently and it was one of my most favourite restaurant experiences so far. I thoroughly enjoyed the vast range of items in the menu; all the food looked absolutely delicious. The staff who took the order for us were incredibly sweet and informed us on what to get when we were unsure. They instigated a lovely conversation and throughout our stay the came to check up on us and whether we have any needs, truly one of the kindest and most caring service experiences. When we first entered, we were greeted by the owner and he informed us about his restaurant while helping us find the perfect table, a genuinely caring soul. He showed so much enthusiasm and joy which brightened up our night and remained effortlessly helpful to us. When the food arrived, it was efficient and right on time. The taste was almost home-made and it made me feel as if I was truly in India. My compliments fall directly to the talented chef who made this night so wonderful for my family and myself. Thank you so much!

I tried to order through just eat twice today the first was a pre order that was placed around 3 pm But I received a text just after 5pm saying it had been cancelled But according to just eat you were still taking orders so I tried to place the order again and again it was cancelled Not sure if there is a problem with the website or if it is an error on your side But I wanted to make you aware of the problem There was no reason given for the cancellation of the orders but I have changed my review stars because in the past when I have ordered some food from your restaurant it has always been hot and yummy I have no transport to be able to come and collect the meal I just wanted to make sure that you were aware of the issue or if it was an issue with just eat
