Aroma of India (sri sai) in Northampton

It was my second time in last one year and i must say the service has drastically improved. Loved the ambiance and welcome by the staff. Waiting staff was really nice and professional. Overall ambiance is really lovely, nice lights, music and place smells really nice. Food was served quickly even during the busy hour. Food was fresh and tastes really good. Perfect place for dine out. Highly recommend and will visit again for sure.

Our first time here having recently moved nearby. I read the reviews first and we had excellent food and attentive service. I can only think that bad reviews left by people who've only ever reviewed 1 or 2 places must be malicious or fake. I liked the decor too. It was pleasing to see 2 groups of South Asians eating here - always a good sign in my book. It's helpful that there's a bus stop very close by. We will return :)

Popped in on a Sunday evening, and had a very tasty curry. The service was a little slow, but the atmosphere was warm, and overall a decent experience.

Terrible experience to eat here and Sunday buffet deal one of the worst thing here its a scam and people come to eat tasty food in restaurants but here food is tasteless and not worth to come here and spend money and customers give true review here not intend to make mess on the platform its better to focus on the taste of food

Never written a review before BUT ? This is the worst Indian takeaway I've ever had . Chicken tikka massala isn't hard but some how they ?? Better off getting a takeaway from morrisons. Perhaps they are putting more effort into the Chinese side ? Indian restaurant that serves Chinese food as well??

Great place for authentic Indian cuisine

I Do not recommend this restaurant food was bland and staff are not helpful and very rude starters came out 45 minutes after ordering and then another half hour wait for mains

My recent dining experience at this restaurant was very disappointing, the waiters rudeness left me feeling unwelcome, and to make matters worse the food was served cold. This combination of poor service and food quality made it the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.

Worst curry house i have ever eaten in, service was very slow it wasnt particularly busy the night we went. Unbothered staff with hands in their pockets and a very strong aroma of cannabis coming from one of the young waiters. When raised with the owner he was very arrogant and defensive. Someone who can't take criticism very well. Food was lukewarm and bland. Avoid at all costs!

The only decent Indian restaurant in Northampton. Their chicken Manchurian and fried rice is good. I hope it was halal so my friends can also try.

What a food! And what an ambience! We really love the food here. And being a regular foodoholic, I can say it's the best in town. Authentic Indian food, with great ambience and quality.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant on 04/09/2023. We arrived around 21:15, and the place was quite busy with a birthday party and many other customers. We ordered chicken and egg noodles, half chili chicken, and a plain naan. It took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive, which was reasonable. However, what happened next completely ruined our evening. As we started eating, one of the staff members kept staring at our table every time he walked by. It was uncomfortable and felt intrusive. Suddenly, he approached us and said that the chili chicken he served was a full portion, even though we had ordered only half. Without any proper explanation or apology, he proceeded to serve two pieces of chicken onto one of our plates and then took the rest away. We didn’t argue with him, but we felt insulted and harassed. This was not our mistake, yet we were treated disrespectfully. To make matters worse, while we were still eating, they turned off the lights, which felt like a clear signal for us to leave. It was rude and completely uncalled for. While the food was decent, the service was absolutely horrible. I would not recommend this place based on my experience. The staff's behavior was unprofessional, and they completely spoiled our mood. Very, very disappointing.

Excellent test real test of India

We thought we fancied a cheeky curry Thursday 22nd Aug so popped in to the Aroma Of India.We were greeted by a lovely chap who showed us to our table .Service was great all staff friendly and smiling .Now the food..........what a choice ! we weren't rushed at all portions were generous and very tasty ......a great place on Kingsley Terrace Northampton look out for the statue standing at the front door .This place is well worth a try and very reasonable prices too !!!!

shezuan lamb chops bit tough but the rest was perfect

Tried it for the first time and completely blown away by the quality and the wonderful taste. Have been looking for an authentic indian/pakistani place with a true desi flavour instead of the normal bland ones that are available everywhere and I think I have finally found the place . 10/10

Can you add one more item in your indochinese menu card that is triple sezwan fried rice

Extremely disappointed with the meal. The chicken Madras was swimming in Ghee/Oil. The Onion Salad was a sliced large onion with a couple of Chilis and lemon slice. Don’t like to leave a negative review but will not order again.

Had a fantastic curry whilst staying in Northampton for the formula 1. The chicken dansak was one of the best I have ever had.

There food is good but staff behaviour is so rude. Their serving system is too bad aswell. They was late to serving food but they didn’t apologies. Their behaviour hurts me💔

The best authentic Indian food we have all eaten in a very long time. We randomly decided to eat at this restaurant and none of us were disappointed. Really lovely food and great prices. We even took our uneaten food home.

Don’t trust that rating of this restaurant it’s totally waste of money …I ordered some food for my guests that was everybody have stomach upsets today my guests was soo disappointed I never order from this restaurant anywhere….taste was also soo bad…I throw it in to the bin it’s waste of money…..

Taste of food I feel like just ok..

Expansive menu with lots of options. Customer service was great, the waiter helped pick the best options for those not familiar with Indian food and gave great advice. The food was served rather quickly and was delicious. They even provided hot hand towels and mints at the end.

This is not a punjabi indian restaurant. We went in as they have a statue of a sikh man outside and we thought this is a proper punjabi place. The paneer tikka was horrible made in mustard oil and presentation was awful. The chicken tikka main had bright red watery sauce like jelly. Naan was cut up like pizza slices. The service was good, waitresses polite and helpful.

We went to the Sunday Buffet and it was delicious, as always. The staff are so nice too.

Customer service is unbelievable the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to in Northampton. The food is exceptional and don't just offer the normal Indian menu they have a wide choice to choose from. Keep up the great work and I'll see you again soon

Dinning in ok but delivery food is not something of Indian taste..gravy is often less spicy but this time it was sweet even chutney served with paneer Tikka was also sweet. Restaurant should provide a customisation option so that we can choose the spice level. Now if I talk about a particular dish, "Kadahi paneer" did not have a single dice piece of capsicum on delivery however when I was dinning it was good.

I have visited this place few times but never got chance to write review. Everytime I visit this, it amazes me it's taste. I haven't finished trying their all of the dishes but some of them are my all time favourite e.g. tikka starters, vegetable fried rice with spring onion is really awesome. Other include Manchurian, Chinese noodles, and chicken lollipop. Few items like jeer fried rice quantity is low. Overall vegetarian items quantity is a bit low than non-vegetarian. Recently I celebrated my wife's birthday here and our guests were very happy with the food.

Been here quite a few times, food is very good but the service is not acceptable Last couple of times we have been they have tried to overcharge us and put someone else’s bill onto our order, I always have to check the bill over and get them to recalculate it. This is not on, I know times are hard but we shouldn’t have to double check a bill when we come to pay.

What a lovely place to eat ! We found this place by accident a month ago and have been back 3x .Food is lovely, service is fantastic and the price is very reasonable .The man who showed us to our seats was really nice and the serving staff couldn't of beed nicer .Would recommend this restaurant plenty of space around your table and lots of Indian families see to use it which in my opinion is a very good sign !

Enjoyed a very pleasant Indian meal here, spicy, tasty and good portions. As well as an extensive menu, there are plenty of vegetarian starter and mains options, and a welcoming atmosphere. There has been an Indian restaurant on this site before under various names which I attended a few times but "Aroma of India" looks like it is under new management and I found a lot better. Noticed a number of Indian folk eating here which must be a good sign regarding authenticity of the cuisine. Prices reasonable as well, so will be back again very soon.
