Delhi Hut in Northampton

Burnt kulchas, missing momos in the box and spilled items, what not. Despite being a regular customer this is how I was served, never going to order from this restaurant again. When I complained about the spilled food, they conveniently pass the blame on the deliver guy, if you had you used good quality containers and secured the items, it wont spill that easily unless your delivery guy wrestled on the way to delivery!! When I asked the refund of the food that was uneatable, they ask you to come to restaurant and get the replacement and so arrogantly say, they will refund the service and delivery charge!!!! This restaurant is going south in terms of quality, day by day.

I ordered sahi paneer and paneer was very hard to chew i also mention there non spicy as much u can but they cooked over spicy and kulcha was like raw not properly cooked very bad

Amazing Indian food! Authentic taste. Tried various chats and Veg Tandoori platter. Very cozy and nice place. Friendly atmosphere. Service is very good, though it took little while to serve some dishes, but it's worth waiting. After a long time, I tasted authentic Indian food. Dal Makhani, Dahi puri were fantastic and must try.

Food preparation not upto the mark. Everything way too spicy. Wasn’t able to enjoy anything. Don’t waste your money.

I had ordered food from them at 8 pm but they made me wait for 2:30 hours and then cancelled my order. If they had to cancel it, they should have done it earlier so that I could have ordered food from other places. If anyone wants to order food from here, then keep another option ready in advance.

Samosa was very bad i always order from your shop because of best quality and freshness but this time u used frozen samosa not a fresh-one… very disappointed.. please don’t accept the order if u don’t have fresh items.

Food is excellent but service needs lots of improvement

Everything is good… but I was expecting red spicy sauce which u delivered in my last order… it's my request if u read this review please always give that red sauce also that was very delicious…

The food used to be very tasty, but last couple of times the quality has gone down.A couple of things I ordered have been so salty I had to throw it away .On one occasion I ordered something but it was not available so I received a call to find out if they could give something else but the last time I ordered one thing but got something totally different without calling.

If you want something different from the usual Indian restaurant offering this is the place - authentic dishes deliciously cooked will go again next time I’m in town

Fish curry I ordered was really really bad

Food is great! So nice to have a selection of decent Indian street foods in the area. Looks closed from the outside admittedly but worth venturing in. Reasonable pricing and easy to get carried away and order too much! Loads of veggie options. A rarity in Northampton.

The best indian food i ever had in Northampton. And the customer service is really good. Really appreciated. The staff named shahidh was very friendly and interacted very well with us. I will recommend everyone to come and try the food once.

Food is ok but the customer service is very poor. Man who’s in the reception is always in hurry burry and his conversation is very rude. We asked him for a shake to drink inside the restaurant but he refused to give the drink, we waited a long while inside while they were preparing for our take away order. I will not recommend this place.

We were missing the Indian food and enjoyed the food thoroughly from Delhi Hut. The Gobi manchurian starter and the Chicken Biryani is a must try. The ambience is cozy and cool...highly recommended.

I have come back to re-review my 5 star rating to 1 star after today's experience. I'm a returning customer to this restaurant just to regret it this time with absolutely cold , arrogant service and terrible food experience. We ordered chilly panner which was soaked in oil and was as chewy as a rubber. We politely asked it to be returned and the service guy frowned upon us in a manner as if we served him inappropriate food. I ABSOLUTELY CONDEMN SUCH BEHAVIOR, if you're in a service industry live upto it else change your career. Never returning to this terrible poor serviced place ever again. DONT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL.

The food was fantastic, dishes I had never come across before that made it very interesting. We came very early on a very wet weekday evening, so there weren't many people in here, but the chap serving us was very good, and I reckon that it would have a really good vibe with a few more people in. But most importantly a great meal.

Delhi Hut organised our baby shower party last week. The food and service were exceptional, and all our guests were very well taken care of. We were provided with various options in buffet, and all dishes were customised and catered according to our taste and spice levels. Thank you, Delhi Hut & Team.

Service is very slow. Had to wait 45 mins for Biryani, which should have already been cooked before. Quantity is very less for the price paid

I ordered the paneer tikka, veg manchurian, and schezwan noodles, and they were all delicious. The paneer tikka was my favourite, and I'm looking forward to trying different options. It's great to have an authentic Indian restaurant in Northampton

Low quality food served.. too salty veg manchurian, way too hot noodles, undercooked rice and very avg veg platter…

The food was excessively salty, and when I lodged a complaint, they responded by saying that the chef tastes the food before serving. This has left me doubtful about how the food could have been so overly salty despite the chef's supposed taste-testing.

Amazing food, Brilliant customer service

We got leaking packing and staff was very kind specific sahith was very helpful and helped me to get good packing again and listen my problem and get me done with everything again fresh.

We have just had the most delicious authentic Indian meal I have ever had in England. We started with a popadum covered in spices and chilli - wow - that’s the way to wake up our tastebuds! We then had a tandoori chicken, south style mutton gravy with naan breads and chapatis. It is absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and served so beautifully by our waiter Sahid. The only bad part is that we live in Cornwall and we can only visit once a year!!!! Thank you for our beautiful and best holiday meal! From T and Jane. P.S. no photos as we are too quickly!

Most of the items are are overpriced and under quantity All dishes are full of onions and peppers Dal makhani is brown dal soup for £10 Be aware Will never recommend

Ordered the chole bhature and chicken curry with rice, very disappointed with the portions size. Its a shame as the food is nice but can't justify the prices if you are only get half the portion

This is a gem of Indian Restaurant. Excellent location ...near Ibis Hotel and walking from Train Station. 5 star is low number...as per our family it is the best. Highly recommended.

Good place for Indian Cuisine but if its takeaway double check that its packed properly with tight lid because when we took parcel as the bag was of cheap quality(paper bag), before reaching our destination the entire box of Briyani slipped from the bottom of paper bag (might be bcoz the Briyani was too hot and caught up moisture) and the box was opened and entire Briyani on road. Ps: this could be completely our mistake also not sure just trying to share our experiences, place is really good and even after this incident we are regularly visiting this place. Very late . 1and half hour later I got food. They kept on changing delivery time. It was half an hour delivery initially.

It's not everyday that you find authentic tasting North Indian food (which is not Bangladeshi influenced) in Northampton. We ordered a delivery from Delhi Hut once and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, so we dined in for lunch. The aloo paratha, chicken Afghani and chicken thali were delicious! Will definitely come again!

I was served fresh quality food at very reasonable price. This was my best Indian cuisine meal experience in an near Northampton. Waiting for your new menu and Chinese items.

Once upon a time I was fan of your food but since you reopened your quality of food has degraded a lot. This is the second time in a row that I was delivered stale food. First time it was veg momos with days old fillings were served and this the second time a day before rajma delivered in thali was stale. How can you just pack and deliver to your customers staled foods? Don’t you think about the consequences which it can leads with the health. Very disappointed, unexpected and unprofessional service.

Delhi Hut please take care about your food quality and stop serving stale food to your customers. Don’t play with the health of your customers by serving days old staled food.

Food is really good. Staff is very professional and humble… I’m vegetarian and many option in menu to explore. I genuinely enjoy dining here .

What a wonderful vibrant clean delicious place to eat. Real authentic Indian food with flavours I have never experienced before. The staff were fabulous and so welcoming and friendly. Recommend so so highly. Will 100% be eating there again in the near future.

Stingy tiny portions. Sandwich was literally flat. There’s more height in a flat ruler then the sandwich provided. Don’t waste your money here.

Today I visited the Delhi hut. We ordered some food. Food is too yummy. They treated us very well particularly one person Sahith he was very cool and polite. I recommend you to taste Pav Baaji, Chats, Momos and Biryani.

Not the best food and hygienic place to eat at. I wouldn’t recommend.

We went for some quality food, There was no one to welcome, take order, give menu. Well we waited for 15/20 minutes and someone came to take order finally. We gave the order quite clear and still the guy messed it. The restaurant was empty and it was only one guy who was taking/serving orders. Once he got the order we told him it’s not what we ordered and he denied the fact. We asked for the manager- it turns out there’s no manager and cheff is the owner and they cannot speak to customers. Further the guy from Hyderabad (waiter) was bit rough and rude while taking order and getting food out. We simply asked for the bill as it was really an annoying night- where the food was pathetic and service was awful. If you are looking for food from North India- please AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. The food is South Asian. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.!!!

Delhi Hut has re-opened again with a new menu and it did not disappoint. If you a looking for authentic Indian food then this is the place to go to. I recently took my family from India to eat here and they loved every bit of and commented that the food tasted just like home. The highlights on the menu for me have been: Bombay Bhel, Vada Pav Pau Bhaji Chicken momos Chicken tikka Chicken Handi The service was excellent also. Sahid, the resultant host was really good. He was attentive, warm and welcoming which heightened the overall dining experience.

Me and my friend ordered chote bhature, pani puri and chicken biryani and all the items were so yummy . It was cooked fresh and the staff was very polite and friendly . I would recommend to definitely try the food from this place.
