The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

My father and I went here for a last minute Monday evening meal. The service was excellent from the initial phone call to book the table right throughout the meal. The food was also excellent- we had the Railway special and several side dishes and all were fantastic. All topped off by very friendly and engaging staff. Would definitely recommend!! 👍

We really enjoyed the drinks and the overall experience. The atmosphere was lively and full of energy - just the kind of vibe I love in a restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. I'm gluten-free and mostly stick to vegetarian, so I really appreciated how many options were available. The allergens were clearly marked on the menu, and most dishes were gluten-free , even the roti, which was a nice touch. We’re already planning to come back next month for a family celebration.

This restaurant is going to be my regular.The food was delicious to look at as well as to taste. I tried lanaka piazza ,and lamb biriani it was very tasty and excellent as usual. The service was very kind and attentive. Would highly recommended dining here!!!

2nd time not disappointed at all amazing food .

my meal was cold, i had to re heat everything and the lemon rice tasted awful like disinfectant and normally I love lemon rice, such a shame I love indian food, very disappointed 😞

I really thought I'd found a decent restaurant but have been let down twice by these guys now. first time I let it slide as it was just a missing mango lassi but this time I had a missing item from my meal deal and the lamb desi looked more like a mishmash of the dhal that wasn't delivered and the lamb in the meal I ordered. I tried to eat it but it was not nice and definitely not lamb desi. So disappointed and I won't be backnow. Shame...

The food was brilliant, and our waitress was so knowledgable about the menu and helped us out with what to get. She was super friendly and attentive, she recommended we come on a Sunday for a special menu and we definitely will! Highly recommend the chicken 65 starter it was insane! Loads of vegan options too, and they were fantastic!!

Other than just spicy no flavour at all

Hello I ordered this shashlic this evening the cheese was over cooked and the veg peppers onions were so hard couldn't cut into them

2nd visit to Lotus with friends, great food & service will definitely be visiting again.
