Vadah in Stockton-on-Tees

Really impressive Indian, family meal and it was really good quality and tasty food the presentation was amazing, good food followed by great service.

Went here for birthday meal was a suprise for my friend, really busy place but we got seated in no time popadoms arrived and then food came out in a very quick and tasted great, staff very friendly and also a suprise birthday cake from the staff was a lovely little touch, thank uoh vadah rebooked table for 2 weeks time.

Nice food, naan excellent, but some dishes too sweet some too salty. The food did come out hot and well presented. The service very very poor, waiters need some customer training. The place was dirty. Sticky dirty floors, whilst waiting for a table notice that it had not be swept or vacuumed for several days. But the toilets are disgusting. Cubicles floors sticky and dirty, handles thick with dirt, taps and wash hand basin really disgusting, cobwebs hanging off ceiling. The whole needs a lot of maintenance and a paint job. Was glad our table cloth had been charged, that made it look a bit luxurious. Looking closely it is not luxury at all, but they do have a monopoly in Stockton as there is nothing else.

Visited on a Saturday night . Had jalfrezi with rice and nan bread, the restaurant was busy as always but plenty of staff on hand to help. The food was beautiful, the restaurant itself is really nice and looks great inside. I've been a few times now and it's always fabulous.

Visited from out of town & sought an Indian for a birthday meal we chose this place based on TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed at all, really nice decor, deceptively spacious with excellent food & service. Only slight challenge was the very tight parking however if local or with better understanding of the area I’d expect this isn’t a challenge.

Poorest Indian meal I have ever had, hardly any taste and I don't like a hot/too spicy Indian meal. The starter was King Prawn Purée and there was hardly any prawn in it and mainly bread which was more like a tortilla wrap. The main course was Chicken Shashlik, again no taste, the chicken definitely hadn't been marinated and was also tough. I looked at all the reviews and was quite excited about trying this restaurant, never again. Even after complaining about the main course they had the ordasity to try and charge me for it!

The staff had gone above and beyond to please our needs making sure our special night was great. Food was amazing, most definitely would recommend the mocktails which were amazing. Definitely a great place for family and friends.

One of the best experiences I have had at a Indian restaurant cannot fault anything staff are friendly too

I had read the reviews and decided to book. This place didn’t sit right with me. When a seafood starter arrives within minutes that’s not great. The king Prawn Puri was very spicy, no lemon garnish nothing. Mains - naan in a plastic basket, rice in plastic moulds. There was no refined service, fronts off cutlery drawers missing, staff rushed, no visible herb in sight. I wanted to love it but my own personal Indian food at home is better. No attention to topping up of wine from my wine bucket. What a shame. Sorry

Went here with my wife , son, daughter and their respective partners. Excellent food. We had popadoms, starters and mains , too full for desserts. The food was presented beautifully and full of taste. If I had one slight complaint , it would be they were a bit slow to fulfil a second drinks order, but that’s being a bit picky to be honest. I would definitely return here. One thing I found strange, was that on paying the card machine would not accept Debit cards, only Credit cards. There was a free cash machine on the premises and one had to draw out cash and pay that way if not using credit card

Definitely the best curry house in Teesside. We could tell, even at 5.30 on Saturday evening. Parking is poor, for such a busy restaurant . Thankfully a couple were leaving when my Wife and I arrived. Delicious meal, will definitely return.

My experience at Vadah was satisfactory. From beginning to end, the customer service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Definitely would recommend the lamb dishes. For the area the restaurant is located the price is also fairly reasonable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We visited here on the second night of dining inside being allowed & it was fantastic!I had the King Prawn on Puree starter & it was absolutely beautiful! Then had lamb madras which was also stunning.Part way through the meal, the ceiling/ air conditioning started leaking water onto the table but it wasn’t an issue - team were great & we were quickly moved.Overall a lovely evening & fantastic food!Only side note is the change to cash / bank transfer only.. we didn’t know this before arriving which wasn’t ideal.

First time back dining in since last year, great atmosphere and fresh new look, food was amazing as always, tried the new kofta curry which was Devine all in all the best in Teesside is back and so will I be back.

Have had a couple of take away meals during the COVID lockdowns and they were fantastic. The restaurant was our go to Indian restaurant prior to the pandemic and is now definitely our favourite Indian take away too.Food is of the highest quality, ample portions and pretty good value - highly recommend it.

Lovely weather so we treated ourselves to our favourite Indian pre ordered for 5pm got the usual masala for the wife korma for kids and my favourite chicken madras sat in the garden with a bottle of sol amazing

Ordered takeaway from vadah and asked for a recommendation as i always get the masala but wanted something with a kick, got recommended to try the gonees and wow it was so good i would say one of the best meals i ever had, the delivery was propmpt and friendly driver so can't wait for another recommendation. Obviously I’ve not been able to have a restaurant meal of late at Vadah which is a real shame so on my visits to the area I’ve started getting a take away to dine in solitude in my hotel. I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed my meals at Vadah and I was not disappointed with the take always I’ve had. Delicious! I ordered by email after perusing the take away menu on Vadahs web site, turned up at the allotted time and it was waiting for me. Fab meal, great service although I can’t wait for it to fully open and once again enjoy the full experience of Vadah

Okay so lets be clear about something here. I have given this restaurant 5 star ratings on here whenever my wife and I have visited for a meal pre covid.I post as white knight. That shows I am an honest. Now we come to Wednesday of this week. I ordered a £19 home delivery meal. I have pondered for two days as to what to say, the starter was as expected not a problem at all and every bit as we have had eating at the restaurant. The special rice was top as usual. Now we come to the main meal. Absolutely disgusting very little meat at all and not one single prawn in what was supposed to have mixed meats and prawns. Most of the meat was inedible in fact could not be cut with a sharp knife. There was a shell from a prawn but no prawn! The source was nice but the rest I binned. I will never eat at this restaurant again, seems like any old rubbish gets put into home deliveries.Someone needs to get a grip again because it has always been a pleasure to eat food at this restaurant. One very annoyed regular in restaurant customer.

8th attempt to get through on a busy Saturday to order takeaway as they were busy ordered for the family mixture of mild to medium curry’s, starters rices and breads had to wait 1 hour to collect the meal, but my god was it worth the wait everything tasted great and service was spot on, will pre order next time.

The best Indian around!! Messaged the Facebook page to make a big order earlier in the week and they couldn’t have been any nicer. The food was amazing, the service was exceptional and it all came piping hot!! Best Indian I have ever tasted!

If this had of been my first experience of Vadah.. it would of been my last . Onion bhaji were small chewy and tasteless , not worth £3.50 . The biryanis came with a ‘veg curry’ no veg just sauce and my medium spa ice was very hot and in edible . As for the pickles to go with the poppadoms well I’ve had better for a jar . What a waste of £40 as most went in the bin . C9 e on Vadha cook on a Tuesday like you do on a busy weekend . Not sure if we will bother to order for you again .

Food arrived piping hot and was exactly as described on menu. I have eaten in the restaurant a few times and have always been super impressed and the takeaway/delivery was no exception.My main was the Shalimar Kharni from the Chef's Specials and it was exceptional. Generous portions of deliciously spiced and flavoured food is a bench mark that this restaurant supplies with ease. First class and 5 Stars from me !

We had our first meal from the Vadaah last night. Friendly chap took the order over the phone. It was delivered piping hot within the one hour timescale by a pleasant young lady. Lamb Achanak and Chicjen Karahi with a Cheese Chilli Garlic light fluffy Naan. Warm thin Poppadums. All first class.

We tried here tonight for our first ever takeaway. We were absolutely blown away! Everything about each dish was amazing. I messaged through Facebook earlier in the day to book for delivery, the food arrived at the time promised piping hot and was hands down the best Indian we have ever had. Would definitely highly recommend and we will be returning again very soon!

I went here with my family last night and got a railway lamb lamb and my wife got garlic Chilli chicken and got fish and chips for the kids and wow it was amazing. really friendly staff

This was the first time I had a takeaway from this restaurant. On recommendation I had Lanoka lamb which is a spice level of a Madras. I had it with a vegetable rice. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and the lamb melted in the mouth.I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The food from this Restaurant is simply the best. I have never ever tasted anythinglike it the flavours are just amazing, gorgeous and fantastic. I discovered this takeaway through a leaflet that was put through my front door. I have had two takeaways from this restaurant and both have been superb and I intend to haveanother one to-night. My Son Omar has barred chinese takeaways from our home for obvious reasons so I decided to try indian food and I certainly have notbeen disappointed. My Son is a director of a company in London and has beenin negotiations with his colleague directors and they have agreed that he can come back to Stockton and work from home. He will be returning on the 4/11 andis very very impressed with what I have said about your wonderful cuisine. Just moved to the area. Amazing Curry. One of the best I’ve ever had. Meat portions are huge and the curry is well spiced and each one distinctive and flavoursome.

Four of us eat here for our Grandsons birthday great food great service and they have COVID 19 well covered if you live in the Teesside area give it a go you will not be dissapointed

The food is always good and the service, even on COVID-19 had few deliveries very fast always good can’t fault this place.

Eat out to help out has been amazing month dining out to various places but this place was the best of all our favourite Indian if only this offer would continue for the foreseeable future I would be here every week the lamb madras is to die for we always get this with extra peppers service is always great, keep up the good work lads during this pandemic.

Food very good although one of the dips with the poppadoms, green translucent was awful. Again food good service good but and it’s a big but they did not do nearly enough to distance from other customers. We were sat far too close to other customers, no screens, all the tables filled none left empty for distance sake.Not impressed and will not be going back any time soon. Expect better

Both myself and my Partner have been customers of Vadah since it opened and go a few times a year. The Service and more importantly the Food are usually spot on and first Class. Not sure what’s happened this time. Wondering if they have changed the Chef.Our last visit to Vadah was back in February and of course we’ve had the Pandemic since then, so with it being 6 months since our last visit we booked and went last week. Service and drinks were great as usual, but the food was a bit of a let down this time. I shall explain.Got Poppadums and pickles and no problems there. However, the starters were next. Now as other reviews will tell you and by looking at the previous photos you can see that the Food is usually always very well presented, now look at this photo of my other halfs starter, looks like the salad has just been dumped on the plate. My Onion Bhajis looked a bit better albeit there were 4 but quite small and not much taste to them. Next came the main Course. Mine was a Chicken Biryani. I usually go for this as theirs is extremely nice but on this occasion it just didn’t taste the same. Also every Biryani I’ve had usually comes with egg, in Vadahs case they usually do it with a small Omelette on top, this was completely missing this time. My other half said hers was not quite as good as before and although she had ordered a dish with onions, this was crammed full of them and she ended up leaving over half of them.When you go to Vadah you know it’s not the cheapest but you usually get the service and quality of food you pay for. Our bill for the two of us this time was just short of £50 so we had hoped it would have been to their usual standard. So okay we had the benefit of the Governments £10 each discount through the “Eat Out to Help Out” scheme so it actually cost us just under £30 and we thought this must be why it wasn’t up to the usual standard, but then perhaps not, as ultimately they will still get the Full amount either way. Maybe they have a New Chef or maybe this was just a one of, we hope it was just a one off. However, this disappointment hasn’t put us off trying again and hopefully it will be back up to its usual very high standard next time

I was expecting your average curry... I went for a lamb madras and wow! It was amazing! I sampled various other dishes that my friends where having and all were unreal! I’d 100% come again and recommend a chicken balti or a lamb madras! Big thumbs up from me!

Love this place but as it was closed we got takeaway. Ordered by phone. Collected it which was easy. Good value but not quite as nice quality as when we have ate in hence the 4 not 5 star.
