Chillis in Weymouth and Portland

Chilli’s is without a doubt the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to! We come here fairly regularly and each time the food is amazing (great variety and full of flavour), the staff are always so friendly (including Ahmed, for whom nothing was too much) and the atmosphere is great. I have recommended Chilli’s to several family members and friends and they all love it here, too. Please do check them out!

Great food, fresh, tasty and authentic. Loved it. First time visit to chillis, absolutely loved the food. I had some poppadoms, Chicken Chat (best I've had) , Chicken tikka jalfrezi with mushroom rice and a chapati. Ate every bit, one of the best curry's I've ever had. So so good.

Discovered this place by chance and couldn't have been more delighted with our meals. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. In fact we went 2 nights running during our stay. Poppadoms and chutney dish fabulous too

Fantastic Indian meal on the first night of our holiday. The menu is varied having many dishes I’ve not tried before. The service was friendly and efficient the food was wonderful I definitely recommend.

Cane across this while staying away for a few nights and close to where we were staying. We had the poppadoms with pickles (including the secret red sauce which was really nice) we had chicken tikka main which came with fresh salad and chicken tikka dhansak. It was very nice. Coconut rice and chick pea side - yummy. I think some of the reviews have been unfair, I think some people base their reviews on other curry houses but as we have had curries all over the place you learn each restaurant have their own way of doing curries. No different to myself cooking a meal compared to someone else's take on the same dish. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It was quite busy and our food came out quite quick. Empty plates from us and would definitely return and recommend. We looked at reviews before eating here and loved the responses from management whom stand by their staff, chef and believe in their own restaurant. For us that made the restaurant more appealing to try. Thank you until the next time.

My friend and I recently visited this restaurant. We were able to get a table without a reservation, and the lady who greeted us was warm and friendly. The staff seemed nice overall. However, the rest of our experience was disappointing. I ordered a Coke, which was flat, and the spicy poppadoms were stale. It felt like it took ages for them to take our main food order. We had finished the poppadoms a good 15 minutes before, and I had to ask twice before the lady finally came over to take our order. The curry I had was very bland and tasted like it came from a jar, with the chicken being rubbery and the rice tasting reheated. Unfortunately, nothing really tasted fresh, and the atmosphere felt dull. I've been to many Indian restaurants, but sadly, the food here was not great.

Went with friends for our wedding anniversary chose chillies because of the good reviews how wrong was that. Wrong meals sent out so our friends finished their meal before ours came out although our rice came out with the first couples and when we said the rice was cold we were told the kitchen didn't know which meals the rice went with so we had cold rice... will never go back....

I must say , I have eaten at brick lane London , curry mile Birmingham And this was as good or even better , cylon lamb and lamb saag comes highly recommended 😀

We had one of the best Indian meals we have ever had at Chilli’s Indian restaurant the service was brilliant and the food was superb. Can’t rate it enough.

Very disappointed, hadn't been there for years. 2 meals had to be returned a Vindaloo that lacked any spice in its flavour, and a Tandoori Mixed Grill which was tough to cut or eat. When the grill was asked to be returned the waiter picked the meat up with his fingers also managed to drop part of the meal on a lap. Upon settling the bill I still can't make out how the bill totalled what I had to pay. Sadly quite local to me so unfortunately won't be returning

Me and my wife always try and find a local Indian restaurant to go out to whilst we are camping or staying in the area. We had previously been to Chilli’s many years ago(9 I think) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience then. We visited again a few days ago and the food and service was as excellent today as it was then.

Ordered a takeaway whilst in Weymouth for a family holiday after Chillies being recommended by other family members- it did not disappoint. Great food (one of the best vindaloo’s I’ve ever had), friendly staff who took the order via telephone & then greeted by more staff who were smartly dressed and very polite. A definite 10/10 from us!

Wenn man vor dem Laden steht, denkt man, dort ist es relativ klein und ggf. imbissmässig - weit gefehlt. Unbedingt rein gehen! Toller moderner Gastraum, zeitgemäss eingerichtet, ein richtiges Restaurant, für ein schönes Abendessen unbedingt geeignet. Wir sind von der Dame umfassend beraten worden was z.B. Schärfegrade betrifft, das Essen, welches wir letztendlich bekommen haben, war super lecker, toll gemacht, und auch nicht zu teuer. Gerne wieder!

I'm a wheelchair user an I couldn't have been treated better! Staff were polite and actually talked to me not my carer 😀. The restaurant was clean, easily walked around, not overcrowded, surfaces were sparkling, not just the tables. Decor perfect an so was the music, introducing me to something new an not the usual tired repeating loop. Food wise, if you love curry, the way families eat it at home, then you're missing out big time if you don't visit here! We were all filled to bursting, flavourful, generous portions with chunks of meat, not small minced versions. Differing strengths of spice an heat as we all weren't old hands, which again the menu described everything you needed to know, which is not the case with some of my locals. Staff are happy to see you an help you but are not intrusive, a bonus when you're a disabled person. Go here an ignore the other more flashy seafront restaurants, you'll not regret it!

We find eating at Chilli’s an absolute joy for every occasion. Not only is the food excellent quality but the staff are attentive polite and extremely customer focused. The restaurant should be proud of the staff they employ who clearly support the ethos of good service. I cannot recommend Chilli’s highly enough for both the quality of food and the impeccable friendly service provided by the team. We will definitely be back.

From walking in the door and throughout the meal the service from the staff was absolutely amazing. The attentiveness, friendlyness from the staff was top quality. Now the food, mouth-watering, delicious…just outstanding. Would highly recommend.

There is, for me, just one problem with Chilli’s restaurant. It is too far from my home in Poole for me to go there every night. Although, for my weight, that might just be a good thing. I have been fortunate over the years to travel well, far and wide, with my various jobs. Consequently I have eaten in many restaurants. Of all the restaurants which serve spicy food, this one is definitely my all time favourite. Not just for the food but also for the warm and friendly welcome I always receive as I walk through the door. My most recent visit was no exception. Being greeted with a wide smile is a bonus anywhere and here, it is the more so because, I know it is genuine. Soon seated I ordered two papadums and their mix of chutneys. Plus, of course, a pint of their lovely Cobra beer. The owner came over and we had a pleasant chat about life and food. When you are on your own, this extra attention is very welcome. As usual I was not in a rush but eventually had a look at the interesting and unusual menu. In the end I decided to try the King prawns Rezala, Couli Bhaji and one roti. Although many people eat rice, I am used to eating rice for lunch and bread with an evening meal. This is something I picked up when living in the Middle East. Now, seven is the magic number when eating a King Prawn curry. This seems to be the number that most restaurants have decided to use. I was not disappointed. In a rich, tasty gravy, spiced perfectly, sat seven very large King prawns. They were juicy and full of flavour. Each was big enough to need to be eaten in two mouthfuls! Lovely. The cauliflower was cut in bite sized pieces. It was slightly crisp… perfect, I hate soft, soggy vegetables. The roti was large, soft and easy to tear into bite sized pieces. Just right for wrapping around each delicious morsel. All in all, for me, the meal was just right and I can’t wait to visit again. A big thank you to the owner and all her the staff. 😁

We had a delivery to a local campsite. Food was fabulous and delivered on time and packaged to keep warm & fresh. Great food with great service. Impressive.

Lovely tasty food, we had a very pleasant evening meal (March 2024). Poppadoms, chicken chat, shisk kebabs, chicken balti, muss fish bhuna. Surrondings were modern and airey, matched with very attentive staff. Will most certainly call again when back in Weymouth.

This is our favourite place to eat and the food here absolutely amazing. There have been more improvements to the waiting staff and the new waist coat really makes them look more smarter. The guy who brings the food in the trolley is really slow but he tries to make you laugh with his banter, we feel like he should talk less that way he can get food to the table more quicker. Can’t really fault this place the service and food are just incredible.

Came here as part of a group, the Poppadoms taken ages to hit the table and most people had arrived and had been sat a while wondering why nothing was happening, the service was evidently slow but we were all patient. The starters were small and the mains overly sweet and not a great size either, even worse most of it was indeed lukewarm at best, the mains taken over an hour to arrive and the food wasn't phased out properly amongst the table, everyone ate inconsistently, they forgotten one woman's curry as they continued to work their way down the table slowly and needed prompting multiple times. Coca cola seems to be from large plastic bottles which I found cheap, the naans were cut into 4 pieces and were dry and cold in a tacky plastic basket, the rice portion was also ridiculously small, it needs to be doubled up! I did also overhear a member of staff state that there weren't enough plates and that's why they couldn't serve the rest of the food yet, they directly said it to roughly ten people at the end of the table, I can confirm this. meat samosas were also missing as part of our order, we explained this when trying to settle the bill, all of a sudden our set meal C went from 62.99 to "the restaurant price" that I hadn't seen anywhere suddenly jumped to 69.99, I further explained to the very rude lady at the bar who was coming across as very abrupt and passive aggressive that we hadn't seen anywhere that the prices were higher in the restaurant and explained calmly that it should be more transparent if the restaurant prices are not the same as the takeaway menu (we had a print out of the whole order for the table in which it also said 62.99), we challenged this and equally explained that part of our order hadn't came and it taken a ridiculous amount of time to phase out the starters and main meals, all of which weren't good as explained above either, who waits over an hour for a cold main dish?? We paid the £62.99 eventually as we kept offering to pay it to begin with in full even though our order wasn't full and of poor quality! - So I don't know why they you are saying we didn't pay what we should have paid when we most definitely did so you're point there isn't valid either. ^Meanwhile I watched large takeaway bags go out the door in number as our table was left empty for long periods of time before anything would arrive, and then food lukewarm/cold and not phased out in sync so no one really ate together either. The attitude of this person at the bar is despicable and quite frankly disgusting, I really haven't seen such poor service in a while, I suggest refresher training for all members of staff including yourself especially in regards to communication skills with you're customers and also don't take bookings you clearly cannot handle. I'll also make clear we weren't expecting magicians, just normal chefs who can bang out a half decent curry, that is hot!, fresh! and doesn't take well over an hour to hit the table! this party had pre-booked months prior, there is no excuse. I hope you reflect on the fact that the service that night was poor, and the food was too, and instead look to improve it instead of finding ways to blame you're customers! The greed emanates!!!!! We WONT be back again thank you for confirming you're attitude openly on Tripadvisor.

my daughter had my soninlaw 40th birthday party at chilies 30 people family and friends came. We waited 2 hours for food then orders not right food was cold staff said short of plates had to wash them So first 15 finished there meal then next 15 got theres. After we left chillis they rang my daughter and said she owed money Every one paid there own bill,so she couldnt owe anything

Extremely easy to book online and even gave the option to add any dietary requirements before arriving. I am a veggie with a tomato allergy, the chef came to our table and explained the meal options available to me. The food is very lovely, and the price isn't too expensive! We turned up at 5pm nobody in there asked for a table for 2 was told fully booked from 6pm no problem, walked passed after 6pm still not full, I think there is a problem if you go there with 1 plus a child you are not spending enough money very disappointed, we will never ever go near the place again.

We were staying in The Clifton Hotel and Chilli's was recommended to us for a really nice Indian Meal. We were not disappointed the meal was exceptional. Compliments to the Chef and thank you to the staff who were welcoming and friendly. We have our caravan on a seasonal pitch near Weymouth and are always looking for good quality takeaway meals. Having read the positive reviews of Chillis, we decided to order a meal online for collection. Within half an hour I received a call to say the meal was ready. I was met at the restaurant by one of the waiters who handed over our food. Super simple and effective way of getting food. Both of our curries were outstanding, without exaggeration some of the best we have ever tasted. The rice and bargees were also top class. There is absolutely no doubt where we will be ordering our next takeaway from!!!

Everytime we visit Weymouth we always visit chillis and it never disappoints, absolutely impeccable food, everytime we've been we've tried something different and everytime it's been exceptional, if you've written a bad review about this place your either a scammer or you need to see a doctor as none of it can be faulted, try it, you won't be disappointed.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I was excited and looking forward to this Indian after reading the reviews online but was left utterly disappointed. I would NOT recommend this place. Firstly the prawn bhuna was absolutely tasteless, even an Iceland microwave meal would have been tastier than that. Onion rice wasn’t onion it was more like uncle bens packet rice… it was good awful. The mint sauce was runny, the naan was hard and the cheese naan surprise surprise didn’t even taste like cheese naan. The chips were soggy and wet. When I rang and spoke to the owner she was in denial and refused to give us a refund. RUDE lady and no need for it.

Our favourite Indian in Weymouth. We ordered the set menu for takeaway as it’s great value. The lamb meat really stood out to me. In other venues the lamb served is dry, large, cube shaped blocks and full of fat. This lamb fell apart perfectly. Great everything else. We will be back again and again and again.

Had a takeaway from here while on holiday. Ordered online and order was received in good time, delivered by friendly driver. Naan bread was missing for the order, we didn't know until we unpacked the food so too late to advise delivery driver. Emailed later and received a refund for the naan bread, thank you. Chillies’ Vindaloo curry has a good kick to it but it definitely on the sweeter side to a normal Vindaloo. The Meat Samosa is not as flavourful as it lacks some spices to it. Overall good food especially the Lamb Biryani.
