We are not local so finding a decent Indian restaurant or takeaway is sometimes a task We have used this takeaway twice we could not fault the food Big portions smallish prices what's not to love The chicken Malay is nom nom nom So tender Give it a try

Ordered garlic and chilli rice but more onion than chilli and garlic doesn’t help when I don’t like onions just saying other than that it was delicious

Food was amazing although I did order a chicken korma and a vegetable korma was sent instead, I spoke to the restaurant and the gentleman was very helpful and it will be sorted. I will definitely order again as I say the food was amazing xxx

Having lived in west London most of my life, I was spoiled for choice when it came to Indian restaurants, and when I moved to Weymouth I saw saddened with the choice of Indian restaurants in the area, However last Saturday that all changed, I joined a group of men I used to work with for a meal at the Great Weymouth tandoor which I didn’t know existed, as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and directed round to the table that was reserved, the service team where polite, had massive smiles and kept the drinks flowing, then came the food, well my gosh, you could taste the difference in each deliacy, from the sweet to the spicy from the veg to the meat, you could taste the love in each mouthful. I fully recommend the great Weymouth tandoori to all, great service, amazing food and happy prices. Take it from an ex west Londoner, you eating like a king if you eat a great Weymouth tandoori.

Haven’t reviewed for a while and have been a few times recently. Nothing changes, great food and service. We had our favourite of Nargis kebabs and I had a chicken tikka phindi naga which was just so tasty. Also had a cheese nan which was great. Always my go to Indian in Weymouth, you can’t beat it!!

worse food I've ever had , was l late and freezing cold to start with. food wasn't as described. wasn't tiger prawns as described, frozen onion bhaji , mix kebabs more like 3 small chew bits of meat , most of it was oily unedable gruel !! just avoid

Ordered a takeaway early on a Saturday evening as we were staying nearby at first we thought it was a bit pricey although after eating it’s clear you get what you pay for The food was lovely the portions were big and I would definitely visit again I couldn’t recommend thus restaurant highly enough

Without doubt this was the worse curry I have ever eaten. It started positive, poppadoms were fresh and accompanied with spicy dips. We ordered chicken biryani, which was no more than a plate of rice and an insipid pale sauce, totally tasteless, the chicken buna was from the same batch of sauce as the biryani, tasteless, bland and awful. When we tried to explain our displeasure we were informed it depends on the chef on the night who is cooking - unbelievable !!. I do not like leaving such a negative review, but customer be aware.

Weymouth Tandoori is such a lovely restaurant. The food is always top notch and the staff are very friendly and always look after us. Thank you to Jamal & the team for continuing to look after us. The food is just superb! 😍

This restaurant has been going for many many years and I have eaten in and used takeaway service countless times. Dined in this evening with some friends and we ordered three curries, three rice dishes, two sides and two breads, which was more than enough for four of us. Every single dish was delicious, we were all stuffed but kept picking as was too good to leave. The restaurant is really well decorated and very cosy and the service is excellent. Best Indian restaurant in Weymouth.

This is the oldest Indian restaurant not just in Weymouth but the whole area. I have been coming here since 1986 and it is still owned by the same family. Always great and great service!

Slow services. Wrong food came out. Some food had to go back as not hot. Long waits from ordering drinks to being delivered to the table. We were a table of 12 however there was only 2 other small tables in there.

The food was great but we were missing the bottle of wine it says you get with orders over £50.00. As my order was £53.17 it was disappointing we didn’t get it as it is my daughters 21st birthday & thought it would be a nice touch.

Sorry food fine but we like some heat so choose the Himalaya Lamb medium to fairly hot but sad no heat and bland. Normally very good but disappointed.

Been using Weymouth Tandoori for 4 years now. It's good food, nice staff and where I get a great chicken tikka masala.

Had a takeaway from them. It was fantastic, correct sauce to meat/fish ratio, very well spiced, not too hot, but a nice kick to it, plenty of food, well priced (15% discount for collection). Overall, superb quality and service.

Very nice, dinner was amazing the owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Felt very accepted in there and the price was not bad at all. The madras was incredible and my partner had the tandoori mixed grill which looked and smelt amazing. Great, will definitely be coming here again.

First of all, food is cold! Not happy at all. Secondly, we were given a delivery time of 21:20 - 21:40. We finally received our order at 22.10. Lastly, my husband had the Lamb Pasanda. He said it didn’t taste good, was slightly chewy and just not enjoyable. Really disappointed!

Ordered takeaway through website. No option to select what time you wanted your order. Confirmed order to be told it would be 1hr 15 min wait. Order then arrived 30 mins late. Food was cold, poppadoms were stale and I found a bone in my chicken! Very disappointed.

Weymouth Tandoori is such a wonderful place for a top quality curry! It’s such a great place for the whole family and staff/food is always brilliant! I would recommend to anyone… especially as it is just off the harbour… less than a stones’ throw! Can’t wait to go again! Thanks guys xx

A fantastic curry - best restaurant in town

I am usually happy with my order but tonight everything was cold and soggy, the chips were stone cold and wet for some reason ,the king prawn ‘butterfly’ was 4 soggy cold floppy battered prawns and the garlic mushrooms were cold and dry and all 3 dishes were thrown in the bin so a real waste of money ,the curry was nice though

Food quality was absolutely rubbish. It's an insult to call it Indian cuisine because it's nowhere Indian at all.. neither far nor close! This restaurant Must stop from deceiving people by calling itself an Indian cuisine! Tasteless and smallest portion size ever! 0 stars!!

Food was well presented and all items of a Big order were delivered. All items tasted lovely and enough left over for another meal.

Early Wednesday evening visit during September 23. We had a lovely meal with very generous chutney portions for the poppadoms. Service was very good, will certainly call again when in Weymouth.

We were staying in Weymouth for a few nights & fancied an Indian,we checked reviews (although we don’t always go by them) & as it was convenient for where we we staying & ordered a takeaway,a Chicken Dhansak & Chicken Rogan Josh with Rice,(we are not big eaters)the staff were very pleasant & the restaurant was quite busy,the prices were also reasonable. The dishes were plentiful & had lots of flavour but although Dhansak should be hot this was unbelievably so,also it was the hottest Rogan Josh I have ever eaten & I’m afraid neither of us could finish either dish. There were also complimentary poppadoms & sauces with order. I think we will try another restaurant next time sorry

Lovely food, piping hot, ready on time and amazing value. Shame we’re not local, as I would definitely go again! We had the midweek set meal and added a couple of dishes to it, worked out less than £10 a head and had lots left over for another meal.

There were 9 of us one being a 2year old. The staff were friendly, had a laugh with them and the service was spot on. The food was hot and tasty. We were given complimentary drinks, and when we had a problem with the bill which was our mistake the manager was very good in helping us resolve this. Highly recommend ⭐️

Food took 2.5 hours to arrive from ordering , once here the chicken korai was average and but the prawn korma was shocking , prawns half the size of peanuts and rubbery as a worn out Johnny ,

Need to improve with service and atmosphere. Sofa cushions torn and not firm. Curry very sweet, tandoori chicken very hardand rubbery. Naan very good and soft. No one asked how the food was. Overall will not recommend 🥵🥵

We had a great night out at the Weymouth Tandoori. The staff were so helpful and friendy and Jamel was his usual lovely self. I had the king prawn starter to die for then a lamb buna mmm so good. Martin had chicken tika to start them prawn danzac he really enjoyed both. Looking forward to our next visit.

Popped in by chance and got a table, 1st time here and the food was lovely, it made it extra special when they gave us a free shot each, would definitely return

Very surprised by how quick the delivery was made. Good food but now expensive so a weekly takeaway is no longer possible. Definitely a treat only. Taking one star off food quality as the yoghurt sauce was so thin and watery.

Lovely decor. Food is nicely presented and tasty. Unfortunately, toilets upstairs, not disability accessible. After meal, hand and face wipes provided. Very close to main town area and near car park. Recommended booking. Website offers are not honoured. No discounts. Onion bhaji is not good.

Don't know why the rating for this place is on the lower side. Food is always excellent, service is prompt and friendly and it comes at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.
