The best restaurants serving Indian food in Barnsley Yorkshire and The Humber

Staying in the area whilst my youngest is on an activity school trip and we need to be near by so we decided to find a decent Indian restaurant rather than staying at the hotel. This came up as the most nearest to us with a good rating. I must say I am not disappointed one bit. Had a warm greeting when we entered and shown to a table where we were offered poppadoms. The sauces were lovely. My daughter devoured the red sauce and wouldnt share it with me. There was the usual mint yoghurt, another fruity one, and one that we found was very salty but full of flavour. We decided to do the 5 courses for £13 and what an amazing offer it is!!! Topped off by hot towels to freshen up. The staff were all super friendly and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I would highly recommend it here. Easy to find and plenty of parking. It’s a shame I didn’t live nearer as I would 100% come here again.

Excellent quality as always. The order was 20 mins late but it was very busy with other collections so totally understandable.

Got rushed through meal and asked to leave table a few minutes after finishing main course! No offer of coffee or dessert just got given the bill then asked to leave table. It appeared that a very large party of teenage boys had been booked in which took up most of the restaurant. They ( whilst being very polite and respectful) were waiting for several Members of staff their party and an hour after their booking time they had still not ordered. That meant the rest of us were rushed out to accommodate guests that were patiently waiting to be seated. The food was lovely and very knowledgeable staff but the whole evening was spoiled for us by being rushed through our meal and asked to leave the table one hour and two minutes after arriving and seven minutes after finishing our main course. Very very disappointed. We won’t be going back despite being very locals to us. Cinnamon spice it is next time!

Good quality food. Full of flavour and the lamb was tender. Have ordered on few occasions and will continue to order from this takeaway.

Just moved into the area and this was our second visit in a month. On our first visit one pint of kingfisher was off, smelt like a damp dog, it was changed without fuss. Second visit 3 weeks later we were a bit gobsmacked as we received TWO pints both with a very bad smell, I drew this to the waiters attention who started waving his hands in the air stating “ we’ve been selling it since we opened Pal with no complaints”. then he picked them up and went to the bar. After running this foul attitude through my head for around ten seconds I decided to evacuate, Not happy, will definitely not return, I can spend my hard earned somewhere were it might be more appreciated

As a customer of the takeaway service from this restaurant we decided to go on an after wedding meal,we were not disappointed,food was excellent staff very attentive and all for a very reasonable price, definitely would return and recommend. Thank you to the owner.

Came around 7:30 table of 16. We were looked after the entire time. Food was out of this world, quick & efficient service. We were even given a table for the birthday cake, which we laughed at and appreciated the fine detail in service. Fantastic evening. Unfortunately we enjoyed the food that much we didn’t take any photos. Will be back Exceptional food, 5 star service

Total rip off, worst food in a long time. Never again. What a load of crap, put most of it straight in the bin. Avoid at all costs, ate some of it, got stomach cramps and one hour later threw it all up 😡😡😡

Visited many times and never been disappointed. The food is good as is the friendly service. If parking in the Co-op car park, please remember to register your number plate when you enter otherwise you will receive a fine like I did.

Simply the best place we have ever been , the guys work so hard at giving you 100% service,, if you’ve not tried it ! Then do it The food is fantastic and service wow 🤩

Tried their Donner Wrap and it was very mediocre, not bad, not great. A decent amount of meat and nice fresh salad. However the chip ship style chips were nice but didn't really go with a wrap, fries would've been more suited.
