Always been lovely food eating in or delivery but tonight's was not good. I ordered 2 tikka masala one spicy they were both spicy couldn't eat mine. Even rice wasn't as good really disappointed and it was £34

Sorry but don't go here, 3rd time trying it. First time great 2nd time no good. We thought give it a 3rd time try something different, butter chicken.. chicken was so chewey and curry was tasteless I said that out of a jar... Pickle tray wasnt much better no spice, no flavour on onions... never again.

Just had a takeaway from here. Only ordered poppadoms and pickle tray. onion baghi starter. For the Mrs. And i had chicken tika madras. My god, the curry was like dish water. And wow 5 pieces of chicken. Tasted like curry powder with hot water. 😩. Wife's bagis cold and yoghurt and mint sauce like water. Absolutely disgusting.

I have had two takeaway now. The first was the best curry ever of my life, made such a pleasant surprise to have more choices for a mild curry lover. I had mango chicken and lemon rice alongside a starter and pickle try etc. My friend had equally good curry of medium hotness etc. Unfortunately the second time we ordered a takeaway it was like it had come from a different establishment obviously different chef or just bad day. I ordered the same but they either sent a completely different curry similar to a bland korma ,tasteless definitely no mango. And this time the lemon rice was ruined by the amount of lemon rind which isn't eddible . BOTH WENT IN THE BIN. EQUALLY MY FRIEND WASN'T IMPRESSED WITH THERES SO THAT WENT IN BIN Such a shame in comparison to first experience. I wanted to phone the restaurant but my Friend pointed out served little purpose and the last thing we wanted was a black mark next to our name should we take the gamble and try it again. So for first curry would have been 5 ***** But second curry 2 ** So my rating is average 3* due to it being a mixed experience

After seeing the high reviews I thought I’d give this a try I ordered a takeaway and delivery, it was easy to order and was very quick to be delivered: the popadoms were lovely, as was the pickle tray. I ordered chicken tikka Karahi, unfortunately this tasted nothing like a Karahi, the sauce was cold yet the large rarely cooked onions and peppers were hot, the chicken was nice and also cooked. It appeared that the food may have been thrown around a pan quickly, and put into a container with cold sauce poured over it. There was absolutely no taste of spice in the curry, no heat whatsoever. Never have I had a Karahi given to me in this way. The sauce was powdery and tasteless. The garlic naan bread was slightly well done which was a blessing as it tasted of something as I couldn’t taste the garlic at all. I was disappointed, I rarely treat myself to takeaway and went with the highest reviews. Perhaps the normal chef had Covid and isn’t working. I don’t know 🤷‍♀️

Have had good food from here before but tonight’s was disappointing. The samosas were cold and undercooked. The bhai cold. The main was undercooked and the roti cold and hard. Not going to use again. Have deleted the app.

Fantastic place! I've gone here a lot of times now and it never disappoints! I first started with the takeaways which was brilliant, great food and good price. I decided to sit down and eat and wow what an experience! Lovely mood and atmosphere inside, really warm feel. Lovely staff with great manners and a general polite service. Food is delicious and great price, will always return here takeaway or sit down for lovely Indian food with a great selection :) Thanks again and would recommend!

This place is superb!! Well furnished, and has a modern feel. There's about 20 tables, so of an average size for a restaurant. What really sets this place apart, is the level of attention and the high standard of customer service provided. The staff are extremely attentative and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Combine this with an exceptional quality of food being served, and this place is a must, to try. One word of advice though, if you'd like an alcoholic drink with your meal, take it with you. They don't have an alcohol license, so openly encourage you to take your own. There's also a convenience store next to the restaurant, so you could always drop in there and get something. Overall, first first place.

A newish building very modern, plenty of free parking next to the restaurant. They have no alcohol licence but feel free to bring your own no issue, glasses are provided and there is a shop across from it if you run out or forget. Arrived on the hottest day of the year, we were seated and an electric fan was set up for us👍food was nice. Poppadoms and pickle tray, starter and main with rice and nan £33. Couldn't give 5 stars as there was no atmosphere, damn covid and I couldn't give 4 n 1/2 out of 5 on this site

I had a delivered takeaway from here on Christmas Eve and all I can say is it was one of the best I’ve ever had, and believe me I have had thousands, I had lamb shashlik with vindaloo sauce & fresh green chillis as a side dish and it was amazing, everytime I’m at the mother in laws I will be using this place, credit to the chef & all the staff, very obliging & reasonable too, try it you won’t be disappointed

I’ve never been before and me and my boyfriend went on a Friday evening they made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived, always asking us if we are ok and checking the food was nice, they brought out the food in a great time and it was delicious! We will be coming back thank you very much! Excellent staff and customer service

We arrived at the spice room on a spur of the moment decision for food with 7 people in the group. The table was ready within 5 minutes and even accommodated the 2 year old which we had in the group. The service was really good when taking the order. The food was with us promptly and we were asked if we would like more time before the main arrived. The food was beautiful and with the offers been extended to 7 days a week the price was even better. Would highly recommend for a family night or even a catch up with friends.

I literally live 5 mins away from here tonight I was treating the family to a takeaway To say I was dissatisfied & disappointed is a under statement we ordered the set meal for 3 We only got 2 bhajis Should’ve had 3 n they was cold chips was soggy & cold In fact The whole meal was cold which we warmed in our microwave as we had been out all day just got in & was famished When we rang to complain they wasn’t interested A lot of money for a microwave meal !!!! I wouldn’t order from here again Highly dissatisfied we’ve had takeaways from further afield better & Warmer

My friend and I meet up every month for a curry and have visited many many restaurants in both South and West Yorkshire. This one is definitely one of the best we have been to. The service was outstanding, warm, friendly and just so professional. The food was excellent and large portions. Will be back that’s for sure.

This was our fourth attendance within the past few months. The food is very good as are the staff who are friendly and attentive. The five course is very good value and highly recommended

We came to this restaurant after walking out another Indian restaurant (Cardomom Lounge- awful, please avoid!) This restaurant was the complete opposite- lovely, helpful staff, nicely decorated place, lovely food and atmosphere! Honesly can’t fault this place, would definately return!

Where do I start? Ordered last night it was a takeaway we required and was told an hour wait for collection. Fair enough they were busy. So I said it didn't matter. I thought I would try another, however the guy said come in 20 minutes it will be ready I thought bonus that's very nice of him. 25 minutes later I arrived to collect and waited a further 20 minutes in reception. Like I said earlier I get they were busy but why lie? That's not the way to keep custom. When I got it home the chips were over cooked, nobody likes over cooked food. Dont get me wrong the food is ok from here but there are other Indian takeaway's in the area equally as good. The prawn puree was nice and the main was nice, however only 2 thirds full. It was the same last time we ordered from here but I put that down to it being late when we ordered last time (around 10pm). I was told they were running out of food, but no it seems that now they are only filling the foil carton's 2 thirds full. And by the way this place isn't cheap, example £2.20 for a single chapati (really guys). Been using this place since it was called the curry centre, but it shut down and reopened as spice room. Unfortunately not a patch on the curry centre. When I order a takeaway I at least want value for money. And it's a shame that on the last couple of occasions it hasn't provided that. Sorry guys you've lost a regular customer because of the cost cutting.

Live nearby in Darfield and cannot recommend spice room enough. Their starter main and rice deal is excellent value. Visited 3 or 4 times now with family and is always a friendly and welcoming place with delicious food. Outstanding.

We have eaten in and ordered many takeaways here since its been open and we have never had a bad experience. The food is always so consistent and delicious - we won't eat curries elsewhere now! The staff, especially the manager, always make an effort to remember you and make you feel welcome. They are always friendly and lovely. The menu itself is unlike any other Indians in the area, lots of different varied curries on the specials to work your way through, as well as the classic staples on menu too. The prices are reasonable also. Could not recommend this place anymore, great for any occasion, even if its just a chilled out Sunday!

Rang to book a table 9.30pm..was told fine as open to 10.30 On arriving opted for the 5 course special offer. Pompadoms andcpickle tray was brought to us . Ordered starter And main course each. Plus 1 ice and 2 chapati Was not asked if we wanted side dish. At end I asked what was 5 courses....to be told ... Pompadoms Starter Main Rice Chips or side Was not asked if we wanted any side. Starter came out half way through pompadoms..... And whole meal felt rushed Then was charged £2.95 for pompadoms which I questioned and was told ...charge is for pickles .....do people ever have them without pickles. All a bit of a con it feels like Other restaurants in area do similar deal 5 course Pompadoms and pickles Starter Main Rice , nann, or chips Ice cream or fruit salad Coffee . That's more like 5 courses to me . Food was not bad to be honest . But expieriance and service and billing ....not one I will try again .

Service was excellent, friendly and informative, food was amazing, please try the madras rice it is out of this world. They have really raised their game, best Indian restaurant in Rotherham by far great atmosphere, great prices, great beer (king cobra) seriously give this a try. Well worth the drive

We decided to visit last night. We had seen the post saying open bank holiday but had to get the taxi to pull right to the door as the lights couldn’t be seen through the blinds. If we had been in the bus we wouldn’t have got off. Maybe open the blinds at the bar side as I think some people wouldn’t have known you were open yesterday. The food we had was nice but we weren’t asked if we wanted the special or order from the normal menu. The cheese &!onion Nan bread lacked cheese.They ran out of bottled water so gave us tap water no problem. Both had a desert which was nice.

We visited here last night for the first time, and we’ll definitely be going back again.

This restaurant is superb, we enjoyed every course, and the 5 course menu for £11.95 is excellent value, you need to bring your own alcohol which is another plus in my view.

Always ordered from here since it's opened. Tonight's was absolutely shocking. First they forgot my food with the delivery then after finally receiving it I ended up bining it. Scraggly peices of chicken thrown on a nan bread which should have been chicken tikka but instead they'd poured a vile sweet pink dipping sauce over it. Yuck
