Really impressed, definitely worth the money. Curry was really tasty, naan with lots of garlic,nice and soft. Green salad for 1.50£ is a big portion, only thing I wouldn’t have in it would be peas but that’s just me, would recommend this place !:)

Great food and a great service, all the staff were very welcoming.

When we arrived at this restaurant we were unimpressed with the grubby set of stairs from the street outside to the restaurant door on the first floor. We were seated on a table near the bar and toilets which didn't improve our expectations. However after given advice about our choice of food and tasting our starters and main courses our concerns disappeared. The food here is delicious. Yes the place needs a makeover or at least a few tins of paint, but overall, the quality of food and good service, won us over.

Cannot recommend this take away enough, always excellent service? They have never got an order wrong and the quality of food is amazing! We made a large order yesterday evening and came within the suggested time, I asked via the online order for complimentary poppodoms and onion bhagis which they duly supplied with it being a large order! They also deliver for a small charge and you get 10% off if you order online! Fantastic Indian, best in Barnsley! 👍

A very good Indian with attentive service and a great selection of food from starters to mains to sides which was expertly cooked. Very reasonable prices and the quality of the food was excellent. Clean toilets and a lovely restaurant. A special mention for the serving staff they were really knowledgeable, not over attentive and were really good made for a really enjoyable evening.

We absolutely love the food from here. Only had a meal once in the restaurant but had takeaways a few times and have to say, they never fail. I wanted it hot and wow did I get it hot. Absolutely beautiful food, superb delivery amd unlike lots of other takeaway deliveries, the food is always hot and the naan is always fresh and not soggy. The Phall was amazing. THANK YOU GUYS.

They delivered to wrong address and because I rang and complained purely about delivery, they refuse to deliver again. However they take the payment from yr card that takes a week to get back

Called in by chance Saturday night for a quick curry and ended up staying ages! We met Lyra the owner who was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us, absolutely brilliant food and service will definitely be back!

Really lovely food, we ordered a takeaway and were not disappointed. The pathia was delicious, the fresh vegetables in the sauce really brought it to life and the saag paneer was delicious. We will definitely order from here again when we fancy a curry!

Called in Monday evening not been for sometime, the food was top quality really well cooked grate menu to select from and very reasonably priced. Had a nice chat with the owner he did remember I used to go quite often on Saturday evenings. Will definitely go back again also the restaurant does take aways.

home delivery again, arrived 20 mins early seekh kebab and salad 1 jalfrezi and 1 pumpkin lamb naga mushroom rice and 2 chapatis great tastes to each dish , could have done with a bit more heat in the lamb naga but will add that in comment section when we order again.

This was our first time eating at this restaurant, our friends from Barnsley assured us we would enjoy it. The lady who took our order, claiming to be the part owner of the restaurant was rude to say the least. I have never been spoken to in such a vulgar manner in a restaurant. Food was ok, reasonably priced but won’t be going back anytime soon. When other members of staff are apologising for the attitude of others it says a lot. Won’t be the first time this has happened.

Me and the family went to have a sit in meal at bombay rasoi and the food wasn't all that for the price we paid and on top of all that they charged us for a pickle tray that we didn't even ordered so we thought it was bad for them to place it on the table, so please watch what you order cause they will add more on to your bill. For a Saturday night you thought it would be busy but very quiet and even the floor was dirty.

Very very small amount of chicken in the main dish, disappointed, no free pickle tray anymore 😪

I’ve become a regular customer at the Bombay Rasoi the food is so out of this world good I always order to collect and have never had any problems up until tonight when I telephoned to place my order. Now remember I’m a single person ordering only for myself but I order 5 items and it takes me a good 3 hours of eating cost £21. My call was answered I said who I was and started to place my order when the person who answered the phone said I’m the manager and you have to order on-line only ? But I’ve never done that before and the last time I ordered was 2 nights ago ? His attitude was absolutely shocking to say he called himself a manager, I felt so insulted by his manor and his shameful bad attitude towards me in what he said my custom means nothing to him it’s only £21 a couple of times a week. I’m so hurt and wounded by the bad attitude I said listen forget my order you’ve lost my custom I won’t ever be back. So people watch out for the bad attitude of a jumped no one who in this time of uncertainty can afford to chase away a regular customer. But the food is good.

Wine was awful and server was defensive of the fact "they don't bottle it themselves". My food and a friends was lively but my husband didn't eat his as it was bland. No interest from server to question why my husband hadn't eaten his food. Used to enjoy going here, not sure we'll be back

This is the second time I’ve ordered at the Bombay Rasoi restaurant in Barnsley Town Center , the food is so nice , I ordered a few items all were out of this world amazing, oh my lord I love this place.

Our usual Indian takeaway is closed for a refurb so we decided to try here. Firstly delivery was really quick we are used to waiting 2+ hours due to our regular being so busy, this arrived in 1 hour. Starter onion Bhajis nice, raita a bit tasteless , chicken pakora very bland no flavour. The chips rice and naan were nice but the curry unfortunately quite bland, sauce not as thick and tasty as were used to. Overall we both just said it was “ok” . Don’t think I’d order again .

Went here for my birthday last night 15th Nov. We have not been for a while due to covid. We were not disappointed the food was amazing as always. The owner gave us my meal free as it was my birthday, did not expect this was such a kind gesture. Definitely reccomend.

Called in on Saturday evening just gone and ordered a tandoori chicken on the bone ….£9.20 plus rice and chappati. Surprised and disappointed to discover two chicken legs covered with a mountain of greasy fried onions. The staff were polite and the service was good but I went in there for a meal and for the price would have appreciated more than good service. An experience that won’t be repeated.

I'd advise not to order off their own app. I made an order yesterday which they accepted only to receive an email 2 hours later telling me it had been cancelled and I hadn't been charged. I had been charged and they didn't refund me the £29.35 so had to call my bank to dispute the payment. Finally I got my money back. Absolutely shocking service and the food has gone down hill since I last ordered. I was a fan of the tandoori prawns until for some reason they were getting smaller and smaller, it was as if they were cutting bits off them to cater for someone's biriyani. Sithi.

Great curry restaurant in the town centre so I did my bit to support them through the difficult times! I had my usual lamb balti which was great. If you're in Barnsley centre then try to find this place.

Tandoori King Prawns are the best I've had. Chicken tikka is tender and the Lamb always melts in your mouth. Very consistent restaurant.

Food is average but the Manager is very rude..he has no customer service skill. I have been there before ; food is ok -not great but not bad; other staff are good but manager is a snob and have very bad attitude . doesn't deseve...

I don't know it is possible that it is so hard to find a decent Indian restaurant in UK. Naan was soggy I can make better using mine pan in the home. Naan should not be like uncooked pizza it should be crispy. Going to dishes it was more a gulash than Indian dish. Only plus is papadum and time of delivery. Other than that if you have any taste buds don't order

After checking the reviews decided to give it a go since on Tuesday my favorite restaurants were closed (Dilshad and Cardamom Lounge). No regrets - very friendly service, great food, quickly prepared, nicely spiced and the starters were BIG. You guys gained new customer. Will be definitely ordering again. Thanks guys!
