We tried this restaurant firstly by having a takewaway delivered and enjoyed it so much we had to have a meal sitting in and were not disappointed. The food is amazing and the staff are great . We have since been back and will be going again very soon.

The food is exceptional, with curries that balance spices, richness, and freshness beautifully. Signature dishes like Shahi Chicken, Pattayala, and Lamb Madras truly shine. The Shahi Chicken, featuring tender fillets of chicken combined with flavorful mince, is a well-balanced, perfectly spiced dish. The Pattayala bursts with vibrant spices and aromatic herbs, while the Lamb Madras is tender, rich, and infused with deep, bold flavors. Service is attentive and professional, with knowledgeable staff offering excellent recommendations and timely service. The ambiance blends modern and traditional elements, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. With generous portions, exceptional quality, and great value for money, we can’t wait for our next visit

We are longstanding customers of Bharat and The Lion before it and visited recently with friends, it was the first time since Raj left. Unfortunately the food was disappointing and so was the service. Gone are the friendly staff; one of the waiters didn’t even understand us let alone chat to us. Barat was always a treat because it was a bit on the pricey side but it was always very good. We probably won’t go back now after 25+ years.

I’m not from Telford but was up there on business. I love Indian food and try one at least once a week, so it is rare that I get anything that I am really Impressed with but this place really impressed me. I’d never seen chicken tikka fried rice before and it was fab. The service was spot on too as was the pricing. Well done

Possibly the best curry I have ever had. Awesome food, great beers and fantastic atmosphere. We love the Shakespeare in Newport, it is one of our favourite places to eat and we are always welcomed.

Very unhygienic place . It’s smelling of bad odour and even the staff smells. The kitchen is similar to a toilet pot. Don’t know how they operate

First time here and was definitely worth coming. From the moment we stepped through the doors we were very happy. We were greeted with a lovely member of staff who greeted us with a smile & made us feel very welcome. The food was served hot & every part of it was delicious. The restaurant is very clean & has a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant & will definitely be returning again.

I visited here with 6 friends for birthday celebrations. It doesn’t look that great inside, very basic and not very welcoming decor, it could definitely do with an upgrade. But I found the food to be very good. The place does not sell alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own. The onion bhajis were lovely and the paneer bhuna that I ordered was also delicious. Every single person there enjoyed their meal and I found the price reasonable. The staff were friendly enough and I would definitely visit again.
