Peppers in Telford and Wrekin

First time at Peppers for my daughter’s birthday last night food was excellent, staff fantastic can’t fault it definitely be going back x

Always a great meal, we are incredibly fussy, and ask for our meals to be prepared in certain ways with additional items added. We ask for different meals at different spice levels etc. we have never been let down & have never had a bad meal. Service has always been friendly and welcoming. We have been using peppers since it opened & it’s great how if you dine in you can BYOB. Food is delicious & full of flavour, it’s also quite a large portion size. The staff are always willing to give recommendations if you are ever unsure. 10/10!

Really enjoyed our visit to Peppers this evening. Very friendly service, Starters and Main food was all presented to an extremely high standard and very tasty. Only minor criticism, would have preferred chunky pieces of chicken with main Jalfreezi and Garlic Chicken Chilli Masalla meals. Overall excellent!

We have been regular diners at Peppers for many years,food is always excellent and service outstanding our recent visit was no exception. All our food- mains, side dishes, vegetables and nan breads were delicious , large portions beautifully spiced and well presented. Service as always so friendly and professional , Peppers never disappoints

We were here for a farewell dinner, with foreign family visitors, and were somewhat disappointed. The service was warm and friendly, but some of the meals were below par and quite frankly, I have had better Supermarket Indian ready meals, cooked in a microwave. The menu was very extensive, but I wonder how they can prepare all of them in the time taken to deliver our meals. I suspect a vat of "standard" sauce with various additions to suit each description. I had the Vegetable Balti Pathia, which was basically "mush", with a few chunks of potato in it as the only identifiable vegetable. My son had the Tandoori Platter and had to ask for a hotter sauce, as it appeared to be a fairly basic, bland, plate of grilled meat (only chicken and lamb). However, my husband's King Prawn was good and the Peshwari Naans were excellent. This was a generic Indian Restaurant catering for locals; next time, we will return to the Dudley Road in Wolverhampton, for a more authentic experience.

I have been coming to Peppers regularly for many years and have always had excellent food and outstanding friendly professional service. Our visit last night was exceptional. Although very busy service was prompt and our food arrived in good time. 5 of us had differing mains and a number of sides, rice and breads. Everything beautifully cooked and presented we all enjoyed every bit. Prices have increased but still good value for money. Remains my favourite Indian restaurant

Last minute decision to go out for a meal. Never disappoints, always beautiful food served by really friendly staff. Atmosphere was great, restaurant was very clean and extremely cosy. Had a brilliant evening. Thank you Peppers!!

Once again I thought we would give them another chance as the food wasn't great the last time , So phoned for delivery ,as the price was more expensive than our menu ,we asked for a new menu ,we did question the £3 delivery charge as only in malinslee,was told we are out of "the area" Got the new menu and we've been over charged ,not the first time We will never use them again ,also the naan was wrong and no mango chutney All the menus are now in the bin

It's been a while since we've ordered from pepper's (mainly because of the price) and from what we could remember it was the best Indian takeaway in Telford, today was the complete opposite. The first thing we disliked was the fact we'd paid £34, given salad yet no poppadoms? Oh well. The worst part was the naans. Ordered one keema naan, there was barely one slither of lamb. Very disappointing the fact they were £3.00 each. We also ordered a garlic naan and absolutely tasteless, no garlic whatsoever.. May aswell have just got a plain instead.. honestly we'll just stick to out local place, cheaper and way more worth the price.

Stay away from peppers in trench they rip you off ! ordered for delivery n it's 5 mins down the road from me was delivered on time the only good thing... I was treeting my fella n mate ...chips stone cold the prawns tasteless and more coating than anything the chicken tika main(just the pieces no sauce) only 6 chunks for nearly a tenna the kema nan next to no filling inside was more like a plain the main curry luke warm ....called explaining the issue to the reply of what do yiu expect me to do ! I told them to come collect the food full refund me as inedible was told no tough it's cold because of the weather.....never had issues with them befor but wow the service is bad and the food quality and portion sizes rediculas for the price 45 quid outa pocket for a terrible meal in ever aspect physically possible

Curry on a school night is not normal, belated birthday with wife and friends and what a treat, food hot and flavoursome, service excellent and with a smile a very enjoyable Thursday night.

Disgusting customer service! Been ordering from this place for the past 2 years, THE SAME exact order. Today they’ve missed one of items. When I called reporting the issue I was told to be a liar. No apology or offer refund for missing items. Drove to the restaurant for a formal complain and was invited to leave. Hope this review gets to the restaurant owner, as he’s a respectful man who unfortunately was not present, but his staff needs to learn good manners and customer service skills. Never again

I ordered for a takeaway after having my dinner there*mushrooms rice" very nice beautiful restaurant. But the mushroom rice was small in size. The packaging is very nice but when you open the package, its just a small bowl of rice.. I was surprised... Next time I will order for more😊 because it's too small for even a 3yrs old kid... Done in and also take out.

Modern and very clean looking from the onset. Food was very good, service let them down. Chef appeared too busy with deliveries rather than looking after our table that spent over £100. Waiter was quite arrogant and "tried" to be funny, he wasn't. I would return for the food but not for the service!

Over priced big time, keep an eye on your bill ! No alcohol license either ! Food was average but poor for the price paid. 1 pint of diet coke £5.00 Considering that's all that's on offer due to their lack of alcohol license. Couldn't really recommend.

We are regulars here but highly critical of poor food and service even here . But there is rarely any problem here ,the food, service and ambiance are great but don’t take our word for it , Book a table you won’t regret it Nothing else to say 😀

Honestly, I did had a Asian cousin before.. I grow up around Asian food myself so going to peppers is basically trip back to my childhood, this guys knows how to cook nad I absolutely adore the hospitality.. They are the best and I would never go anywhere else x

Various factors have meant i have not been to Peppers for some months. As i entered the restaurant i was greeted with real warmth and affection by every member of staff. Quickly seated, drinks glasses provided, order taken.i was with a family member from New York who was not very familiar with Indian cuisine, staff talked her through menu with great knowledge and advice. We each chose a different dish and side dishes, all delivered in an appropriate time, well presented and good portions. Each dish was declared delicious as were the Nan breads. Every bit of every dish excellent. Prices very competitive considering the quantity and quality of the food. Already booked a table for next visit.

Staff are friendly but the food I had, had no taste. Had chicken tikka masala but was really bland. Especially if I compare it to the duncow which is red , sweet and tasty. Messed my friends order up too. Won't be in a rush to return.

We were recommended Peppers by a friend as have never stayed in the area before. Really fresh, tasty and delicious food. Lovely varied menu with a lot of Balti dishes Super friendly staff . Very good value. It is a take your own beer restaurant which really wasn’t an issue to us as there is a well stocked shop next door.

We used to have a takeaway every week from peppers. They were definitely the best,however things changed after the pandemic. We had a few poor meals and decided that they were not worth the money they charged. Tonight after 18 months or so we decided to try them again. It is disappointing to say that whilst the restaurant staff are still as pleasant the takeaway was poor. My wifes chicken tika masala was the worst she has ever had and that even includes my cooking! My pathia was OK, no better. The mushroom and vegetable rices were a shadow of how they used to be. It is a shame but I won't be back.

Lovely food, good choice of dishes, friendly service and reasonable prices. Best Dhansak I've tasted and we all went away with full bellies. Chatted with servers who recommended places of interest near to where we were staying. No alcohol licence but adjacent shop has good choice of chilled wine in fridge. If I'm ever this way again I will definitely visit. Win win

My 2nd visit to Peppers and just like the first visit, I came away satisfied that it was money well spent. I found the staff very friendly and polite, we were instantly made to feel welcome and valued as a customer. The food was delicious, easy on the oil and portion sizes exactly right to being quite generous. If you are uncertain where to go, then you must give Peppers a try, you will not be disappointed!

BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT EVER. Food is authentic and really tasty. Staff are fantastic, now I see why my parents go here so much! They were so helpful with getting me and my wheelchair around the restaurant.

Visited on saturday night (13/5/23) with family for a meal. new pavement outside means theres no step which is shown on google maps. Staff were great they made sure access to our table was clear. Service was brilliant. Staff were helpful and really fun to talk to. Good prices and nice atmosphere. Restaurant doesnt serve alcohol but there is a shop next door to buy and then take into the restaurant. Will definitely visit again soon.

Great evening out with family. Very attentive staff and great food.

Ordered online for takeaway. Told it would be ready at 8.30pm. I eventually got my order at 9.30 pm exactly. Then realised they hadn't put chips in bag. While I was waiting at 9pm my wife had a message to say food was ready to be collected. If the shop could not cope with orders and have ready for when they say then they should not except the orders. No excuses.

We ordered a takeaway at 4.30pm for delivery at 7pm. You'd think that was plenty of notice. Having received an automated email at 7.01pm to say our delivery was on its way, we waited anxiously as we're only 5 minutes away. At 7.40pm we phoned as it hadn't arrived to be told its on its way. At 8pm we phoned again. At 8.30 it finally arrived with an apology from the driver. Peppers, it's not good enough. Don't take orders if you can't fulfil them. The food when it arrived, was very good, but tarnished by the terrible service. Needless to say, we won't be back!

Went in for take away. Well worth the wait!! The food was so tasty!! Will definitely go again. Maybe order ahead of time, but I didn't mind waiting. I had a nice comfy seat to wait on. 😊

My Mother had won vouchers for a set meal, which had been very kindly donated by Peppers, but even though this was all she ordered this in no way distracted from the high level of service and food delivered ! This place is excellent, I would guess the best in Telford if not Shropshire.

First time visiting having moved to the area. Really lovely curry. Super tasty. Great poppadoms with lovely pickles and all delivered with such friendly and personal service. Absolutely would recommend. Will be returning soon.

After hearing great things and this restaurant being highly recommended by a friend I ordered food for a girls night in. When it arrived we discovered some items missing. I called the restaurant and they were not helpful at all we were told that they were extremely busy and that was that they would offer me free delivery for my next order and they hung up on me. I appreciate Saturday nights may be busy and mistakes can be made but the lack of ownership and poor attitude of the staff was very disappointing. I’m now out of pocket for food I never received and having to use up my own time trying to get in touch with the management for a refund. I feel robbed and will certainly not be ordering from again so your offer of free delivery is not sufficient. I get times are hard for everyone but this is not the way to make profit.

Minimal meat in the Biriani. Sauce was also minimal and bland. I’ve been a customer for well over 20 years and this was the worst I’ve had. Martin (the owner) is a really nice guy, but we’ve had a couple of questionable take always in the last 12 months, but this was one too far. We will use establishments a bit closer to home in future.

Great food and a warm and friendly service.

Visit with my wift and two young children on Saturday night. Could not have asked for a better experience. The food was delicious and service was sublime. My 8 year old daughter commented that she felt like Royalty the waiters had been so kind to her. We look forward to visiting again soon!

I don't know how I haven't reviewed here before. This is probably the only restaurant we go to consistently and have been for the best part of a decade. The food is always without fault, as are the staff. Always welcoming and a good laugh. It is a bring your own, there is a shop next door if needed.

We always get takeaways from Peppers but decided to eat in this time and we weren't disappointed. The food was fantastic as always but the service was second to none. It was worthy of the word "experience". The waiter guy is to try new things and gave tips on how to get the best eating excitement. He was clearly excited about the food and so friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going back to eat in soon.

This is the best Balti Restaurant in Telford. The service is amazing and Emmo made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and provided a personal service throughout our time there. The restaurants atmosphere is warm and cosy inviting us to stay and socialise for hours whilst dining on amazing food. The food it incredible and Emmo was excellent at recommended delicious dishes to try. Furthermore you can bring your own alcohol of choice without paying restaurant prices to enjoy with your meal . Bonus! Highly recommend.

Dirty and rude staff went here with my friend TOMMY R and the staff was so rude spoke to us like we was trash!! It was also so dirty inside like they don’t clean it at the end of the night, avoid avoid avoid don’t...

Large group of us most got what they ordered, when I asked where mine was they brought a dish over and it wasn’t what I ordered, they got me another dish that was chicken too, they told me it was just a bonus price and the rest was lamb. Makes me wonder what other bonus fall in to their dishes. Told them I don’t want a main dish and not to bother. Most people had finished when they got me my dish. I tried one mouthful and it was tough and horrible. They still expected me to pay full price for a dish that was late and nasty. Staff was friendly but need to learn how to wear a face mask as a beard covering chin mask isn’t correct
