The best restaurants serving Indian food in St Michael's Coventry West Midlands

Good service, friendly staff. Smoked bacon which is unusual but tasty. Eggs poached as standard however they are overcooked unfortunately. Teapigs tea served which is very nice. Cakes look amazing although I didn’t try them.

I had not been to my regular Indian/Bangladeshi for a long time due to Covid. I tried their take away tonight. Very nice prawn puri starter and lamb tikka main + excellent sag aloo. Old reliable.

Never had such a slow or bad service while a place was completely empty. Everything was dripping/smothered in grease from the poppadoms to the main meals. Stomach upsets the day after; won't be back, defo can't recommend.

Can't fault the service, atmosphere is relaxing but let's face it, it's an Indian restaurant that also makes Thai dishes. I came for the Thai and it wasn't as authentic as I'd hoped. I can't put my finger on why, but my Thai curry tasted a little like korma.

We've come here once again as a huge group before the ice hockey playoff finals. One of the highlights of the weekend away is the food here. Thank you all - especially Bishal for putting up with us all evening!! See you again next year for some of the best food out I've ever had!

Wow the og crispy chicken burger and fries was the best iv tasted in a longtime and for £4.95 cannot go wrong

Excellent food probably one of the best Indian meals I have had. Some dishes not often seen. Service was excellent also.

I am beyond frustrated with this shop. I placed an order for 40 veg samosas well in advance, specifically because I have colleagues who are vegetarian. When I arrived to collect my order, not only were the samosas not ready, but they gave me meat samosas instead! This is completely unacceptable. The whole point of ordering ahead was to avoid issues like this, and yet here we are. It’s incredibly disrespectful to serve something that goes against dietary restrictions, especially when I had been clear about it beforehand. I expected better service, but I got nothing but hassle and inconvenience. I will not be returning.

We were staying at the nearby Brandon Hall and wanted to stay close by and eat outside of the restaurant so thought we would give the Half Moon a try. It was a Saturday night and we booked for 7:30pm (useful to know they stop servinv food at 8pm) they were quite busy. The atmosphere was country village vibe with lots of twinkley lights and locals to make you feel at home! We ate from the nibbles and sharer menu and enjoyed a wedge salad which we had with Caesar and bacon, but you could also have with blue cheese. we also had the white bait which were fantastic size and cooked beautifully, and the calamari/squid. This was very tasty did not seem to be frozen at all lovely. We also had the dirty fries which we have with Parmesan and truffle, and then we also had a charcuterie board which had a lovely selection of meats, because olives, bread and balsamic dressing to end all we had the Bisco cheesecake which was divine. Line has someone that works greatly within the service industry. The service here was incredible. Everybody was friendly efficient and warm. We will be going back.
