My Dhabba in Coventry

Excellent food as usual. Fits and Prinder really looked after us and gave us alternatives when we asked if we could replace the paneer in our meal. Can’t wait to return.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice previously, the last time being 6 months ago. When I previously visited, the service was amazing and the food was even better. Where do I start without visit today, the starters were over cooked and tasteless, the curry we ordered for our main was tasteless and chewy. We decided to pack one of our starters as we didn’t manage to finish it but this was the only item we enjoyed. They provided my wife with the take away bag and box and expected her to pack this for herself. No one asked us if we enjoyed the food or how we were during our meal. Overall, I won’t be coming again and I advise everyone strongly not to waste your money and time in this restaurant.

We had a fantastic experience at your dhaba served by Pinder Rits! The chili paneer was perfectly spiced, the chicken tikka was tender and flavorful, and the garlic naan was fresh and aromatic. The food was delicious, and the service was warm and attentive. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic flavors!

Fantastic food and service,will be back,different menu from most curry houses.Worth trying different dishes.Excellent atmosphere,no alcohol but you can bring your own,would highly recommend this restaurant

Food was served cold and was inedible. Staff did not know how to handle the situation, all too young. The premises was freezing cold and we had to sit with our coats on. Never to return.

I ordered samosa chaat but they sent tikki, Weird taste, don’t recommend it!

Food was absolutely lovely, good portions, nice presentation! Chef delivers 150%. Staff are welcoming and seem nice, just a shame they seemed a little distracted by a few rowdy groups of diners, so we waited a while to even order a drink. The restaurant is very ‘cosy’ so wouldn’t recommend it to anyone in a wheelchair or needing ‘space’. Might try eating here again when less busy, to enjoy the experience more.

the atmosphere was lovely, it had a homely vibe. we ordered 3 different curries, butter chicken, lamb karahi & lamb jalfrezi. the butter chicken came out more of a light brown texture and had a weird taste along with lamb karahi, it could’ve been better. lamb jalfrezi was an alright dish but somehow better than the two curries we’ve had.

We had the most amazing experience at your restaurant. The combination of authentic Indian flavors is truly one of a kind. Every dish was packed with vibrant spices and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Thank you very much Ali and Mehak. Food was pretty tasteless for all of us, although portions were good and well presented. Some of the glasses were dirty, had to ask to put the heating on, setup of the different buildings is a bit odd. Service was mediocre.

Order never arrived the driver asked the Otp over the call and marked it as delivered and he is not lifting the call as well and the customer service team is not responding accordingly worst experience from just eat team

We found the restaurant by chance. The food, hot drinks and atmosphere were wonderful. Pinder’s service was excellent too - She took our order carefully and paid attention to details. We really enjoyed the experience here. Would definitely come back again.

The supermarket nugget with chili mayo is called the "Chicken Dynamite" here. It’s amazing to have it served right at your table, straight from the microwave! Really enjoyed it as we were hungry.. It is the Managers special as he told it is being served from last 8 years..

Oct 2024 On this occasion my selected meal was mediocre. I had a vegetable and chickpea biryani with some extra paneer cubes thrown in. Unfortunately the rice was somewhat over cooked and mushy. The sauce was okay but needed more flavour. The ambiance was pleasing but the background Indian music was a little on the loud side considering how few people were on the premises.

The food is just so bland now, all currys taste the same, of not much at all, and the potatoes were cold. Service was good/fine. Gents loo is a bit grim now, cramped, cleanliness not maintained, toilet seat broken. A shame, the restaurant used to be great. Other recent reviews are very poor too, so it seems this wasn't a one off.

unfortunately, failed to live up to the expectations one might have for a restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt lackluster and uninviting. The decor was tired and in need of a refresh, contributing to an overall sense of neglect. The service was equally disappointing. The food itself was the biggest letdown. While the portions were generous, the quality was severely lacking. The dishes we ordered were bland and flavourless, lacking the vibrancy and depth one expects from Indian cuisine. The naan bread was dry and chewy, and the overall experience left us feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled. Frankly, we were left with the impression that Dhaba Coventry is simply not prioritizing the quality of its food or the experience of its customers. For anyone seeking authentic and delicious Indian food, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. This establishment falls far short of the mark and is not worth your time or money.

Good food, their naans are amazing. Even the thalis are good with a good combo. We tried the chicken and veg most of the preparations tasted authentic.

I visited MyDhaba with my family after seeing several positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. The staff did not behave professionally, often staring at us while we ate, which made us very uncomfortable. Additionally, the taste of the food did not live up to the glowing reviews we had read. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Amazing food, amazing service, probably the best curry we have had out in a long time.. Maybe ever! Super fresh ingredients, we had the chicken tikka, chicken Balti, lamb loaded fries, garlic naan and keema rice. Couldn’t recommend more. Rits was so lovely and helpful, we will 100% come back. The guy doing the black magic bought the entertainment!

Whew, takes a long time to get a chance to tell you the issue. I ordered Lamb jalfrezi and received Chicken Jalfrezi. That was disappointing but not a world ending issue. I will be back but a little more attention to detail please. Broan Galvin

First time visiting and we will definitely be back. Lovely food and great service. Great selection of veggie/ vegan starters and mains. Pinder could not have been more helpful and immediately moved us to a new table when we knocked a drink over while she cleared it all up!
