Four of us went here last night and it is the best curry house we have been to in a very long time. Excellent service from the staff. The chef came out to speak to us which was a lovely touch. The food is some of the best we have ever had. Decent portion sizes, excellent quality of meat and flavoursome sauces. Will definitely be back soon.

Lovely restaurant with friendly welcoming staff. Food was served hot and was very good and tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We were a group of 70 and they managed to cater for everyone’s individual starters and mains! Well done Bengal Team!

I came here with family for my birthday celebration. The interior design is absolutely beautiful. The staff were so kind. They came to the table with a birthday cake and sung happy birthday. The food was delicious too. Everyone enjoyed their time. We will definitely visit again!!

We had wonderful meals at the Bengal Delight last night.We haven’t been there for a number of years but were extremely impressed by the quality of the food and the friendliness of all the staff.We met head chef Bash who is obviously a genius with the high quality of meals he produces and also the extensive menu available.We have already booked a return visit and am sure it will become a regular venue for us.A big bonus for us was to be told that the former owners of Akbars will have a big input into the future direction of the restaurant whilst maintaining the current staff.Wonderful news.

Bought my parents here for dinner last night as it was my father's birthday. The food was absolutely gorgeous.All of the staff were so lovely and attentive. They even bought out a birthday cake for him and sung happy birthday which was a great touch. Ish - we can't wait to see how amazing things will soon be and the journey you've started.

Everything was perfect. Friendly staff made you feel so welcome. The food was amazing so much choice on the menu. We were given a free sample of the new grill menu that they do every friday and Saturday absolutely gorgeous. Would not dream of going for a curry anywhere else. Beautiful food. Absolutely delicious meal, lovely flavours, cannot fault, very good choice of menu and a new healthy eating grill menu recently introduced. We've been dining here for 25 years and never had a bad meal. Staff are really lovely and so attentive. .

Returning after more than 5 years, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Food is piping hot, and service is exceptional. Menu is a complete winner. We will NOT wait another 5 years. Thanks to all at Bengal Delight.

First time visiting this restaurant in a few years but it’s still up there with the best we’ve ever had. Outstanding food all round; we recently ate at a Birmingham city centre really expensive Indian restaurant which wasn’t as good as this. It’s a nice touch when the chef comes to your table to ask if you are enjoying your meal.

Visited the Bengal this evening, excellent value for money, the service was fantastic, food was amazing, we will definitely be returning on a regular basis. Only wish I had taken some cash to leave a tip.

First time at Bengal Delight and it did not disappoint. Best i have ever had, tried something new the garlic chilli chingri bengal bay and it was incredible would highly recommend. we also ordered the purana old bombay style balti with rice, saag aloo and keema naan - amazing. will definitely be coming back!

Solid Indian cuisine, outstandingly tasty naans. An (almost too) extensive menu, but everything is freshly prepared. However, my Deluxe Tandoori Balti was a bit too tomato-heavy for me.

Recommend do not eat at this restaurant when ordered the starters, mine never came. The prawn came after we complained and it came out raw. Please do not eat out of this restaurant

So glad bash is back! Food is to die for! Went last weekend for a "date" night with hubby, wanted something different, but was undecided on 3 dishes, spoke to bash for advice, so not disappointed, the towa naga was heaven on a skillet! My only concern is that on a previous visit, we had the bbq piri piri chicken, it was a whole chicken, and was informed it was a starter! Even on a good day, I couldn't eat half a chicken followed up with a curry and rice with naan

Called in tonight for a meal with the usual anticipation that we would be in for a treat. We were not disappointed. What a fantastic meal we had. Mine was not even on the menu, but the award winning chef, who is called Bash, created me a chicken Muglai like no other. I say created rather than cooked because each and every dish he makes is a creation in itself. They say you eat with your eyes, well, the way Bash presents a dish is just sublime. He has now installed a grill into his kitchen and is offering a completely new grill menu to his main menu. Dishes on the grill section include chicken or lamb shish, chicken wings and thighs, lamb chops, and even a spachcock whole chicken for 2. We tried a few samples from the grill and wow. The most succulent, tasty chicken we have ever had. We definitely recommend you give this part of the menu a go. You will not be disappointed if grilled food is your thing. And, of course, the extensive full menu is there to be had at all times. Front of house is run effectively and efficiently by Maz, who keeps his friendly and professional staff on their toes. What a great place to eat. Great value for money, too. So if its a romantic meal for 2 or a family get-together, the guys and girls at the Bengal delight can, and will accommodate your every need to make your time with them enjoyable and memorable.

A great Valentine evening. We were a table of 5, all with varied tastes. This has been for many years and remains, a solid go-to favourite in the whole of Coventry. Great food and service, with a cheeky Bash Special made just for us. Even though we weren't really celebrating the roses, chocolates and decor were appreciated. Top marks!

Cannot fault this delightful comfortable relaxing restaurant. We had the sunday authentic dish of the day the lamb on 21st January 2024. Very spicy but so tasty. Staff are so friendly. I love the music. Won't go anywhere else.

Good service . Good food . The menu offers a few different dishes in addition to the normal . We have not been for a few years and enjoyed the evening. The only slight issue is parking is not great .

Another wonderful visit to this fantastic restaurant. We are blessed in Coventry with good Indian food, but this is one of the very best. A range of dishes that are distinct in flavor. A wonderful family feel with waiting staff - Very attentive. All in all a great Saturday night.

We visited Bengal Delight this evening and the food was amazing, especially the Lamb Taaraang which had a very nice Tamarind flavour and melt in the mouth lamb! The Paneer Sagg was also really fresh tasting! The staff were all really friendly and it's a very nice relaxed atmosphere. We will visit again!

Been going to the Bengal delight for many years 10+, after covid things were difficult for everyone, but it’s great to see BASH back in the kitchen again, doing what he enjoys and making THE MOST DELICIOUS FOOD! We always say there is no other place like it, each dish is always unique, flavoured to perfection and always made with fresh ingredients! They would always recommend to dine in over takeaway, as the hot curry is covered and that it can affect the quality of the food. The service is always attentive and friendly, lovely atmosphere! I can’t wait to visit again soon and will always be a loyal and returning customer. Thank you for always making me a Thali🤩❤️

Went for a curry this evening and is still the best in Coventry! The chief is very accommodating. The curries are fantastic with so much flavour. The chicken is moist and fresh. The sauce is not swamped with ghee. The side dishes are flavoursome too....

We had the new special offer available Sunday to Thursday: starter, main with rice or nann &+ tea, coffee £15.95. It was possible to choose any curry from the main menu and ours was delicious, could not fault, highly recommend

We received a very warm welcome on arrival, the main restaurant was buzzing but a few tables were still available. We were seated in the conservatory area, just us three but it was lovely, it meant we could chat away in the peace and quiet....

This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Coventry, their mains are so rich and flavourful. I have been going here for 10-15 years and it is still as good as when we first came. The staff are also really friendly and accommodating

We eat from here most weeks and have done for some time. Tried other places but find here has always been the best. We even travel from the opposite side of the city we enjoy it that much. We try a variety of dishes and none have ever disappointed. Thank you BD!!!

Placed an order at 519 took nearly an hour to arrive person on the phone said 15 mins. Chicken korma was horrid scabby bits of chicken bombay aloo hard potatoes tasteless cheese and onion naan don't think I need to go on . Won't be having another.

Dined here Wednesday 19th. The bengal delight is back! Due to the world class masterchef - Bash! The best Indian cuisine we have eaten in 20 years! Utterly faultless and highly recommended.

Had food delivered last night, delivery on time, food gawwwguss.....but....delivery driver was upset because he "didn't realise how far out we are" and charged us another £2.00 (on top of £2 already charged) OK fair enough but if we are too far away why accept...

Excellent meal. We've been coming to the Bengal Delight for 20 years and it never fails to deliver.. Every meal we've had is excellent and always love the poppadoms with dips. Look forward to the new menu coming in march 2023.

As a regular customer of Bengal Delight for many years we decided to order a take out. The driver was given the wrong address and had to phone us so meal was delayed a bit When it arrived the food was so bland and watery...

This was the worst curry house I have ever entertained visiting. We went for a birthday meal, 1 person out front of house and probably 1 cooking. Naan bread come out with extra serving of silverfish, drinks tasted awful, tikka masala was served splattered in the middle of a large dinner plate?? Chicken was even cooked properly. Food wasn't at a safe serving temp. I could go on but the experience was so disgusting and disappointing. The bill was wrong also.

Food cold as rice and nan came 10mins after food. Manager got orders wrong. My grandson had silverfish on his plate. Which they removed and said they are off lampshade. Replaced but charged for both. Food was bland. Service was terrible and rude manager asked for some birthday cake. All 10 of our party were sick and I'm afraid the environmental health need to investigate. Absolutely never returning

Place needs a makeover, menus are falling apart and dirty. Service used to be excellent but now very poor. It is as if they want you to finish your meal as quickly as possible and get the next customer in…main meal arrived whilst still eating popadoms . The food was very good BUT service and presentation was poor. To wait 25 minutes for the bill especially when it’s not busy is not acceptable. Do not recommend , will not be returning.

Staying local this was the closest Indian restaurant. Don’t judge a book by its cover I thought. If I’m in the area again I won’t be returning. The service didn’t have any finesse, food was ok but nothing to write about. The Manager was decidedly rube when a colleague paid contactless with American Express and promptly refunded the transaction without asking which was very confusing as he didn’t explain why. Two of the meals came in dishes but one curry came direct on the plate - strange. My menu booklet had tracers of food on it too which hadn’t been cleaned or wiped off. Not a glowing report.

We went a couple of weeks ago and had a great meal, but the guy who brought the food out decided he was going to split the rice for us and dished out half into my plate and half onto my friends plate - really...
