Went here after a long day a mix of children and adults the staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and tidy with tables decorated to high standard. The food was lovely and came in good time.

Having had a lovely meal on a Saturday evening whilst staying over near Coventry for a kick-boxing competition, we came back the following day after the comp with the rest of the Nemesis fight team. They were great accommodating approx 35 guests at just a couple of hours notice max. Lovely setting for us to chill out after a very long day! Thank you too for being so attentive and re-assuring my daughter that she has nothing to worry about re her nut-allergy. No-one has ever made her feel that comfortable when eating out. ❤️ Parking was easy too, which helped when our convoy turned up on Sunday evening 😀 Thank you from the Reading massive!

Warmly greeted and directed to our table immediately. Nice friendly staff who also interacted well with our kids. Lovely atmosphere. Food was really nice. We had the Maharaja tawa, great value for money. Kids had popcorn chicken and fries; good portion size and included drink and ice cream so great value too. Mojitos were delicious. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend.

Don’t usually leave reviews but this place is very underrated! Went for my friend’s birthday and I cannot describe how good it was. Super friendly staff and they were very helpful. The interior is stunning, not many restaurants in Coventry with good interior. Would highly recommend this place! I will definitely be returning!

Very disappointed with the food - read the reviews which overall seemed good so I gave it a shot. The garlic rice came out abit oily and the garlic pieces were burnt. The butter chicken is one of the worst ive ever tasted felt sick eating it. Just managed to eat the chicken pieces as I was hungry. Waiter asked for feedback and I politely told him about the food quietly out of respect as there were other customers in the restaurant and didn't want to cause a scene. He then feedback to another staff member at the till. I was hoping for at least 50% off or a full refund, but they still charged me full price. I have eaten at many places and I know what home cooked indian is like, so my standards are high. The only thing I enjoyed was the poppadom with chuntney! I hope the standards in the kitchen are raised.

We ordered the Maharaja Tawa for 2 and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing! The taste of the chicken tikka took me back to weddings in the 90s! Proper authentic. My husband really enjoyed the lamb and chicken curries that came with the tawa. Thank you for a delicious dinner and great customer service! :)

Food was good but the restaurant was freezing cold. I dont know if they refuse to switch on or maybe the heating was broken was it totally spoiled the birthday celebration. ALL the customers were wearing coats while dining. What a shame! And three tables were celebrating birthdays including us but all had their coats on. :( Do better!

we ordered butter chicken , butter paneer masala . In breads 2 garlic nann and 2 butter naan and samosa . instead of butter chicken they gave us chicken korma and In butter paneer masala tastes like peshawari naan .they made a paneer gravy with peshwari naan stuffing. The prices are high when compared to different restaurants . i don't recommend this restaurant.Guys if you want to save money and eat satisfied food go to different restuarents.

I definitely won't be returning. I don't recommend it; it's much pricier than other places in Coventry. The food is average, but the portion size doesn't justify the cost. My lamb karahi had more onions than lamb, and the £3.50 naan was disappointingly small (for size reference I put a small spoon on top). Additionally, we were charged for rice, which was supposed to be included with the butter chicken. To top it off, we had to wait 40 minutes for our orders, even though the restaurant wasn't full (now I understand why).

Greeted with warmth when walking in, great Atmosphere and decor. Minimal wait, taken to our table within moments and offered the menu. The food was great, we shared 2 Tawas, the mix grill tawa and Maharaja tawa between 10 of us, we all enjoyed our meal. Definitely will be going back to this wonderful place. Would recommend this place, great for couples or large groups / families.

Ordered food through the website, it didn't arrive so I phoned, was told it was on the way, phoned again to be told they hadn't received my order, still took my money and put the phone down on me

I have delivered from this place first time , food was absolutely disgusting. We had delivery from many different places, someplace served good , average, some okay. From this place make stomach ups and down, still feel disgusting and paid £32.00 for mix absolutely ripped off nothing on it come all burnt

Went for a work celebration with 3 of my colleagues and spent a wonderful 2 hours at the place. We ordered a 4 person mixed grill which was plenty on it's own. We didn't know this at the time so we ordered an extra item each with sides. The food was really good. My particular favourite items were the sheek kebabs, chicken tikka and the chilli sauce. My colleagues and I were absolutely stuffed. Awesome place. Will go again if I'm in the area.

Ordered a takeaway and waited 45mins then when I called up they said they cancelled my order and wouldint be able to make it I would highly tell people right now not to try this place as when I called back to ask for apology he starting being rude down the phone shouldn't be open

Very average food, tawa was nice but to be fair it's hard to mess a mixed grill up. The curries were a little bland and didn't taste great, seems like they use the same base sauce for all their curries, so no depth of flavour or variation, the jalfrezi tasted the same as the karai! Was a little underwhelmed and won't be back in a hurry.

As soon as I walked in to this restaurant I loved the decor and atmosphere. We were also taken to our tables straight away. We ordered a tawa for 2 and it was really nice, we enjoyed our meal. Was a bit disappointed after seeing all the 4 and 5 start reviews of the food, went with the Mrs got a tawa for 2 and a chicken biryani, the food came hot nice presentation but lacked alot of flavour the curry tasted a bit funny had too much cumin, the biryani was clearly re cooked with old rice and had excess of oil, kebabs were bland, lamb chops were chewy and over cooked, To be honest dont think the target is asian people, more for people with bland taste. Was empty when i went so maybe why had old rice ? Still no reason for the price of the place.

Went for a meal with my father and son. Lovely man seated us. The restaurant was spotless and the service impeccable. We ordered various balti dishes along with a selection of naan. The food was delicious. The staff absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended I will be going again.

Really nice place recently opened up in Coventry. Coventry has been lacking behind other Midlands cities for good south Asian food restaurant choices so was happy to see this one and went to try it out. The atmosphere was fantastic along with the service which was really on point, they even replaced our drinks without question when we told them the lemonade was a little flat. The grill is where it is at with this place food wise I thought the section of grilled food on the menu was all fantastic and I really enjoyed it. In terms of curries I was not a big fan with the tawa we got I would say the lamb was better than the chicken curry also sold as a karahi but it was more like a balti. But other than that it was a really good experience I will definitely come again and may stick with the grill food selection. With regards to portions I am not a big eater a nor were the people with me and we went through it all so maybe slightly on the small size portion wise regarding the tawa for 4 they do.

Went for a birthday dinner and was not too busy so everything came out in good time, the staff were so friendly and gave us some complimentary dishes while also giving great recommendations. Loved it :)

As soon as we entered, we were invited and well served during our whole experience. The food was amazing, and congratulations to the chef for this meal. They even gave us a free bowl of spicy fries ! The waiter regularly made sure if we were ok and supporting our needs very quickly. Visited Maharaja Grill and Balti House yesterday with my family. Firstly the ambience is so nice. Food was so authentic. I tried Lamb chops and Chicken wings for starters and felt absolutely tasty. Biryani was so nice and the but quantity was not as expected. Tried Mojito and it was also nice. Overall it was fantastic and looking forward to visit again. I can highly recommend those who want to try here.

Nice place, staff are also very nice but the food for me was below par! Expected a lot more from the food as I chose this over Farmhouse for my anniversary dinner! I never send a dish back or complain but when I mentioned that I didn't like a particular dish for the first time, the waiter was a top man, tried to replace it, explained that's the way they come but took it off my bill! However, the prawn puri was 10/10!

Visited last night while looking for halal options in Coventry and was thoroughly impressed. Ordered a tawa for 2 which has a nice mix and a few extra sides. Food was excellent not overly spicy. Paneer tikka was especially good. Service was friendly and quick. Would definitely come back even though we don't live nearby!

First time visiting with my wife and two young daughters. We had chicken + prawn puree for starters along with chicken pakora. All were delicious and we didn't wait very long to be served. We had the tawa for two for our mains which had a good mix of grills, rice and curry. We ended up packing quite a bit to take home as it was a very generous portion. Great food, top service and very kind friendly staff. See you next time!

Unfortunately... This is not the same maharaja restaurant from before... Food no where near same standard. I don't believe the restaurant is run by Indians as there is a fundamental difference in quality and taste.

We visited this restaurant with a family of 9 for dinner. I must say it's a hidden gem. It's absolutely brilliant as it has free parking, easy to get to too. The food and service was amazing. The waiters were really helpful and went out there way to ensure we were satisfied. I would recommend to others to try it out and honestly, you won't be disappointed. I will be returning again with my family very soon. Thank you very much for an amazing experience.

I was in Coventry for a business meeting, was looking for Halal Restaurants. Then I came across this restaurant which was Halal and the food was truly authentic so big thank you guys for making my trip.

Visited today with family. Reading the recent reviews we had high hopes for this place however it was very lacklustre & just bog standard average food. We ordered the sharing platters for 2 & 4 people which consisted of chicken tikka, wings, chicken & lamb sheesh kebab, lamb chops & a chicken + lamb balti, accompanied by sides of rice, chips & naan, we also ordered a king prawn sizzler main. Firstly the sharing platters, portions were not suitable for the number of guests they’re stated for, none of our guests were full after eating & felt we had to watch what we eat otherwise others wouldn’t have enough, everything tasted shop bought & just really boring, the only decent thing was the chicken tikka & chips. The curries were bland & very very lightly spiced, the sheesh kebabs tasted like frozen ones & also looked like frozen ones, the rice was plain boiled, considering this is owned by Bengalis we had high hopes for some great food as they’re renown for exceptional spiced curries. We were only told that the king prawn sizzler maincourse was out of stock once everyone’s food had arrived so 1 guests was sat for over 5 minutes waiting for their food, it’s plain simple communication that you check your food stock before starting service so you can advise your guests on what’s available. The customer service overall was good, another bad point is that the drinks were all lukewarm & not cold. Overall all 8 guests commented that we didn’t enjoy the food, we didn’t feel it was value for money & that we wouldn’t come back to eat again.

So visited this place with high expectations, happy that its HMC registered. Now I normally am generous with reviews but can't find a reason to rate this more than 2. There's a spacious car park and place is labelled as Pilot Pub. Owner was extremely friendly but flustered. Signs were there that place was disorganised. Sat us down, brought poppadoms that were soft and limp. When told the waitress, she was dumbfounded, as if this was not possible. She actually said that's how poppadoms are. Finally agreed to bring fresh ones which were actually nice and crispy. Service overall was horrendous, probably due to there being only 2 waiters, and no manager. Food was nothing to brag about either. I wouldn't return again for another year, if its still standing until then.

The place needs a renovation and more staff are needed, the floor staff look tired and tried their best but need support & training, food was decent. Also, the card machine broke whilst we were here so keep cash on hand in case.

Visited from London on a Sunday just after opening time. White female by the bar made no eye contact or made any attempt to greet us. Instantly felt unwelcome as had to get her attention to make her aware of our presence as she he was on her own at the front. Eventually was shown after a 20min wait to a table by this woman and this was after other members of staff started coming into work. The young asian gentleman who came in after instantly made an attempt to welcome us and greeted us with a smile and asked us how many people we needed a table for. Overall the Tawa platter for 2 was tasty flavoursome and piping hot. Could do with another piece of lamb chop as its a meal for two and only one piece was given. Again the waitress from our initial encounter was serving us our food and again she didn't seem like she wanted to be at work today. Overall good food but big let down by service from the waitress.

Came here for my anniversary and I my husband couldn’t have chosen a better place. My first time visiting and I was not disappointed, The atmosphere is so calm, such a clean place. The food was spot on, the tawa for 2 was the perfect size and had a good variety. The manager/owner is really friendly and welcoming, I would definitely come again and would recommend this place.
