Quality of the food massively gone down hill, servers ruin the food with excess sauce making the food inedible. Had to reorder from another restaurant.

Working in a food environment myself, you notice alot of things. This chip shop is immaculately clean, the staff are friendly, welcoming and very efficient. I moved into the are around six months ago. Every time i go (around once a week) i recieve the same consistent service. I'm greeted with smiles, my order is always amazing, the food is hot and in my opinion well worth the price considering the portion size. People are quick to give negative feedback but credit where credit is due. I actually wont takeaway food from anywhere else. Keep up the good work guys and thank you

Yet again uncooked chips. I don't expect to get a takeaway only to have to cook it when we get it home. I don't care how many people are in the queue. Cook the damn food. It's not rocket science

Fab little chippy. Started using here instead of Charlie's as the service is faster and the portions are bigger. Never had an issue with any order.

Used to love this chippy but I came last week at 9. 15pm and the lady that served me had already put all of the kebab meats away and packed up mainly for the end of the day..... The chips was nearly cold and very stale and the kebab mixed meat she reheated which I wasn't impressed with at all and I asked for salad and got 1 piece of tamato I would eat from here again but never ever ever again at night time very bad I get businesses have to close but food must be fresh

Fairly local chippy for me. Does decent selection of foods for a typical chippy. Chips are nice and it's generally busy, portions sizes seem good, I am not a fish eater so can't comment on it, but everything else is good and generally a good experience.

Great fish and chips, my only complaint being from the south is no option for onion vinegar on your meal. Other than that everything was fresh, hot and tasted great.

Just walked back and found out they forgot my sons jumbo sausage. Only a small order, not difficult

Disappointing on this occasion, pie was hard as bullets, kebab where was the salad we asked for and the chili sauce, and to top it off charged twice.

When someone asks for cheese on there burger the normal practice is to MELT the cheese first!!!

Good quick service and friendly staff

This used to be our favourite chippy but tonight was the last time we will get food from here. Chips have been crunchy the last 3 occasions and at times bordering on being off. The Fish which was always outstanding is consistently bad with tonight's small fish resembling a battered sausage and thick stodgy batter. Family left most of the food as unedible. Such a shame as I would reccomend this chippy to everyone but cannot any longer.

This chippy got really good when they refurbished but gradually their standards have dropped. It started when my daughter choked and couldn't breath for a few minutes because ALL the chips were way too crunchy. But now their chips are tasting off, and the curry sauce isn't right. The batter on the fish is thick and stodgy. 3 times in a row it's been bad, I won't be returning again... Standards are going down but prices are continuing to go up... High prices for low quality food.

Horrible food very cold. Did not listen to what we wanted asked for separate items all mixed in one box. Will not be ordering from here again.

Always use this chippy even though I have to drive from across city to get there, Usually worth the drive. However, today was my last visit. The server was so busy taking all the orders she forgot what she was doing. She didn't make the order up as requested (1 item!) and when asked she accused me off intimidating her just by asking for the sauce to be added which I asked for upon ordering. She decided to dramatise the situation. I was not rude or demanding at all. I left with my money back and went elsewhere. There was only 2 people in front off me when entering but several turned up after me and she took all orders before preparing any off the orders. I understand that they have to have a system in place to take the money and serve their customers but she was obviously overwhelmed and couldn't remember what was a simple request. Very disappointing to be served like this especially as its the usual place that I visit.

Best chippy around this area. Speedy service, tasty food. Always very busy but that just proves that it is top notch! Great for the locals but also well worth a drive to if you are not so local. They have recently changed card payments to £10 and above so if your order is less than £10 make sure you have cash on you.

Great Kebab meat , Chips are also very good along with the COD. Shame they have introduced minimum spend on a card of £10. OK if your feeding the family but if not you have to go cash point which charge £1.95 to get money out.

Asking for a minimum £10 card payment when we’re pretty much leaning towards a cashless society and hardly anyone pays by cash these days. Pretty shocking to be fair. Not only that looking at all the other reviews they can’t even be bothered to reply and work to improve.

The closing times are completely off, it’s a hit and miss whether this establishment is open after 21:00 hrs. Google shows that they close at 22:30 Mondays -Thursday close at 23:00 on Friday and 22:00 on Sundays. I was there at 20:15 on a Saturday and this place was closed despite the closing times disclosed on Google. I’d like to add good luck trying to phone this establishment to determine the closing times or any other query, the phone must be on silent!!! The kebabs are the dogs! As I work shifts I can’t get hold of them to confirm closing times somebody please help

Ordered food at 19:30pm and come 21:30pm nothing had arrived. 2 hours. Talk about a late night. What's worse, number was busy the whole time and just eat would not refund.

If your looking for a great Kebab and large portions this is the place to go, I'm fussy in what I want but they give me exactly what I ask for and we'll worth every penny.

As a reviewer has already stated very hit n miss with this establishment, used them over the past 6 months due to renovation work and ordered fish and chips via delivery which have been good. however the last 2 orders have been shall we say BAD!, the 1st bad order was a little dried out the fish and the chips but put that down too it being Tuesady around 5pm, however after ordering there latest offering 3 large chips and 3x cod, 2 x curry sauce and savaloy, delivered Saturday 13th August supposed to have arrived at 6.30pm after ordering them at 5.20pm for a specific delivery time they eventually turned up at 6.54pm, to say the chips and 2 of the fish were inedible describes it perfectly, the savaloy and curry sauce good, and one the fish was also good, the rest was dried out rubbish rubber chips shriveled fish which as I just said was rubbish and that's where it ended up, had to order pizza in the end as a substitute. So come wyken chip shop get your act together 35 quid spent and it's only fit for the bin disgraceful you lost me as customer would Not Recommend you either, the first bad- dish order I can let slid but the last one we HELL NO, bye......

Staff friendly enough, chip portion was decent. However, declined my request to cook a haddock, I would have happily waited for 2.

Was recommended this place by a friend and it must be half decent because the queue was out of the door! They missed out some of my order and the chips were stale.

Having read the reviews, can only say Customers are easily pleased, most tasteless fish I’ve ever had, not cheap either won’t go there again!👎

Ordered food on app driver couldn't find address but Jas was lovely and called to say he was honest I told him where to.meet my husband and the driver was apologetic and polite as was Jas food is always lovely and Tony the driver keep going mate lovely service thanks

Great food, great service and great prices. Manny and Jaz do a fantastic job delivering the highest quality food and reasonable prices. They really looked after my mum through this pandemic offering a free delivery service. Cannot recommend this chippy enough, never had a bad meal from here.

Awful! We ordered using just eat, half our order was missing. After calling them we were told our missing food would arrive within 30 minutes. When it did arrive 45 minutes later we were still missing the chips! Again, I called and was told that there would be no refund. Disgraceful service. Avoid at all cost!

Fast friendly service with a smile ,really good chips and fish. Spot on.

Ended up here on a Sunday night as all the usual fish n chip shops near our home were all closed. We are from Australia and wanted to get fish n chips for our family. So happy to find them open. Even happier when we got them home and started to eat. All our fish was cooked amazing. My MIL had the haddock and she loved it and ate the lot. Chips are good and I loved my mushy peas. Will be going back while here in Coventry but will be telling all my friends here how amazing they are.

Good chip shop. Friendly staff and always have what you want rarely a wait on the food. However quite often there is a que as its a very popular chippy. Slightly more expensive than the nearest chipshop but the quality and tast of the food is way better.

Since the owner took over this chippy few years ago now, the chips are fantastic, one of the best in the City. Friendly staff, clean and good variety of food on menu. I visit here a few days a week. Mini fish and chips good value and the portions are more than enough.

This place never fails to deliver great quality chips. Really recommend.

Wasn't happy with thee food. They cannot make good burgers. How can be a burger cold? They need to try to order from somewhere (try Pepper Pizza's burger thats THE BURGER) 20 pence charge if you want 5 gramms of extra souce on your chips??? Thats a joke.They cannot give garlic mayo, and last time the chicken and chips was totally soaked with oil, chicken was not cleaned perfectly before frie. All of us (3 persons) find lot of hairs on our portitions. We used a place in BHM on Dudley road many times, we never find any hair on chicken, coz they using flame to burn out hair, and washing the chicken before cooking. This is the BASIC process to prevent any hair on the food. If i want to be honest, I dont wanna use Wyken Fish Bar again.
