Excellent menu loads of nice extras a little more expensive but absolutely worth it. Staff are great. Would highly recommend a visit great experience

Myself and the Wife came here on a Wednesday night, considering we are both well travelled and I've also lived abroad we were shocked that we were in agreement that Turmeric Gold was the best restaurant experience we have ever experienced. They really go above and beyond like we hadn't seen before, we saw them go table to table and give 3 or 4 fancy complimentary dishes each! Something you don't expect anywhere. The food was amazing, and also presented really nicely. Customer service was 10/10. We told them upon arrival that it's our wedding anniversary and they decorated with a banner, celebration decorations and a free chocolate cake with a sparkler at the end. Cons: It's on a street where there are a few bars/clubs so Friday and Saturday night it may be rowdy in the area.

Great attentive staff and gorgeous food. A little on the pricier side, but the food quality, complimentary items throughout the evening and attention to detail easily make it worth it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to dine for a special occasion.

Food was amazing and did not take long to cook, staff were very welcoming and polite and surprised me with various appetisers.

It was our 30th Wedding Anniversary - Wanted something special and we wasn’t disappointed - Excellent food quality and amazing service - Made us both feel special and we will definitely make a return visit.

I've been here twice recently, and I think it is one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to.

We went to Turmeric Gold many years ago but not in recent times. But my daughter wanted to try it so we went with her and a friend. I wasn't sure what to expect but knew it would be more then we usually pay! So was it worth it? Positives: the decor was lovely especially in a medieval building. The staff were excellent attentive without being over the top. We received a complimentary mango lassi & amuse voucher. Excellent 👌! The food was amazing! My tiger prawn starter was delicious (Though my daughter's scallops looked a bit meagre!) The main was beautifully presented. I had the South Indian chill chicken. Not the greasy curry you find in some cheaper places. It was more than we usually pay but we're left feeling satisfied not over full. There is a 12% service charge we weren't aware of. And my daughter, who used to work in hospitality felt it would have been nice if the tap water came in a iced jug! All in all we were, all 4 of us, more than satisfied with meal. We will definitely return & hopefully bring other friends too. Maybe for a special occasion rather than just a meal out! Oh and a last plus I was more than happy at the way myself was treated & catered for as a disabled customer!

An attractive restaurant on historic Spon Street. Nice inside and pleasant waiting staff, although being sat close to the front desk meant I heard that there were some issues from diners and staff. Food was nice although the three small scallops for the starter I ate seemed less than generous. Main course was a tasty lamb and chicken dish from the a la carte menu. Nice enough with attentive staff, although I have had better Indian food elsewhere.

Food was beautiful, and the service lovely. Really enjoyed our evening here.

I booked to go to Tumeric Gold with my family for my birthday meal as I have always heard such good things about the food at this restaurant. We arrived and I must say the restaurant looks very nice inside and the staff were pleasant and attentive and took us to our table. After that I can only say everything was average at best. We ordered the sharing platter for 4 which was ok but nothing special, my partner ordered a paneer starter and when it came out we were surprised to see three little triangle pieces of paneer which was pretty tasteless and for around £9 not at all good. For mains I have Prawn Silchar which was big prawns in a sauce with nothing else in it, the prawns had been over cooked and were chewy, the same the King prawn dish another family member ordered. Everything everyone else ordered was ok but that’s it. So although restaurant was nice and staff also, we found the food was not up-to much at all and hugely over priced ( and a 15% service charge added) I’d actually go as far to say the food was the worst I have eaten in any of the Indian restaurants I’ve been to over the years which is a lot as this is our favourite cuisine. All in all if you want food that’s been put on a plate that looks like fine dining, sort of and doesn’t really taste that good, and want to be massively over charged for the pleasure then this is the place for you. If not I honestly wouldn’t bother as there are plenty better Indian restaurants around. Shame really as we were really looking forward to this evening but were left feeling we had been sold a dud when we left and most certainly wouldn’t return again

My first visit here, recently moved to Coventry. I love Indian cuisine and have done several courses with a leading Indian chef. The food at Turmeric Gold is outstanding, well presented in a superb setting. Service was slower than I would prefer, but it was peak dining time on a Saturday. With poppadoms, starters, mains, sides and drinks for 4 the bill was around £37 each. Not bad. Will definitely return.

Poor phone service and wouldn’t work around what we was trying to do. She said she was the manager but was not willing to try and help us to allow us to pre pay for something over the phone. Not very good management and not very accommodating to customers. Following on from this, I spoke to a lady on the phone who was making out to be a manager, I spoke her through how to make payment over the phone which she just spoke over me but in the end tried and it was working. She then informed me they won’t do me a glass of pino blush as they only do it by a bottle as her words “I’m not opening a bottle for one glass”. I’m very appalled at the way she spoke to me on the phone and I would not be using this restaurant in the future as I don’t appreciate being spoken rudely to on the phone when I’m trying to be helpful and teach her new ways to do her job and potentially make more money in the future.

Googled the best places to eat in Coventry and this came up…it did NOT disappoint. From the welcome drink, to the free sample starter and the attentiveness of the staff, the service in here was absolutely amazing and we really felt looked after - the degree to which is something that is hard to come by in this day and age! Also the place is decorated beautifully, really nice ambiance. The food was absolutely insane, I don’t think I’ll stop day dreaming about it for a week, both curries were spot on, as were the rice and naan and the starters were to die for. Could not recommend enough, will deffo be coming back!

The food was good! Pricey, and would of been worth it apart from the service was awful. Around about a 3 hour wait for the mains. When paying as much as we did you'd hope for quicker delivery. We were a group of 15 so understandable that service might be slow. Some had finished their mains and were offered a dessert menu whilst others were still waiting for their mains. A shame as it could of been quite good otherwise.

The staff where incredibly nice and welcoming! We where asked immediately if we had any dietary restrictions/preferences. The food was great and we received some complementary small dishes, very generous. Highly recommend the place, reasonable prices and an enjoyable visit.
