The best restaurants serving Indian food in East Devon South West

I was unsure what type of establishment this was on my visit, a restaurant definitely but beyond that I knew very little. All I needed was a little something to tide me over till dinner time. A chicken curry roll hit the spot.

We were welcomed into the restaurant by friendly staff and shown to our table. The decor is nicely plain, comfortable and the toilets exceptionally clean (always a good sign) The food was excellent, lots of it and high quality. Great service too, thank you to all involved. We will definitely visit next time we visit with our family from the Midlands.

A good idea & the food we chose we enjoyed : Ghujarati lamb mince delicious, Kerala chicken meant to be cooked in coconut milk but no flavour of that at all. Tasty dish. Rice was unseasoned. Onion bahjis very good indeed. Veg samosas unseasoned. Coriander sauce delicious. Bread good but nothing special. All well packaged & service was excellent. It was very good value for us as the above was enough for 2 meals for 2.

Amazing food! We were in the for the first 15 minutes and already had drinks and our food had come over! Food is delicious and so much flavor to it! I’ll be definitely re visiting. 10|10

My partner and I visited this first class restaurant for only the second time with three of my Grandchildren this time. We live in Merseyside, but in Devon this is definitely one of the places to visit. Staff very kind and friendly, food first class and my eight year old enjoyed Chicken Nuggets and chips. Well there is something for everyone.

Had takeaway delivered to tunnel pods camping last night. The food was absolutely amazing all dishes. I had the chicken chilli garlic. Excellent Probably the best curry ever had. Top marks to the chef. Thank you.

We are regular customers here and the food is always outstanding. We are treated more like family than customers...never rushed...and the staff are not only polite but very friendly. Having dined in many Nepalese and Indian restaurants in the past...I can firmly recommend The Brave Gurkhas at Honiton for fantastic cuisine and friendly atmosphere.

We have been in twice in four days whilst on holiday. Ate too much because everything we ordered was delicious. The service is very, very good; efficient but not invasive. Reasonably priced food and drink. I just wish it was closer to home!

Ordered a takeaway online for delivery. We selected the 6.50pm delivery slot but the confirmation email changed it to 7.10pm. By 7.45pm nothing had turned up so rang them to be told would arrive soon. It eventually arrived at 8.10pm and it was pretty cold. We heated it up in the microwave and it was delicious. All they had to do was make sure that they could deliver on their own delivery slots. If something unexpected had arisen, they had our email and telephone number. Just tell us. Food was nice but your service lets you down.
