I hadn't booked but they were able to find me a table the food was excellent I had the set meal for one and the choice was perfect plenty to eat and the service was good very recommendable restaurant.

Great tasting meals and very willing and helpful stuff. We tend to avoid very spicy dishes and we're glad to find their passanda, korma and masala curries are mild enough but at the same time tasty!

Visited king of spice on thursday (26/9) for a takeaway. Me and my husband had the butter chicken with pilau rice and popadoms. Everything was really fresh, chicken was so juicy and tender and the flavours were amazing, so good that I wanted to order another. Best curry I have ever had. Will 110% be back for more.

The curries here are absolutely delicious. We ordered a takeaway and had it delivered, as we live locally. The food is of such a high quality. Would definitely recommend. The staff are incredibly friendly too.

Great service and food. Popped in whilst staying in the area and glad we did. Portion sizes are good and spice/taste was spot on.

We're having a short break in Honiton, and we really fancied a curry tonight. We picked this restaurant, as they open at 17:00. We chose their Wednesday Banquet Menu. As well as being very good value, the food was excellent 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Their popadums are very good, they were served warm, and they were nice and fresh, so they had a good tensile strength, and could hold lots of toppings from the pickle tray! I had the Lamb Madras, this was superb, the meat was lovely and tender, and the thick spicy sauce had a real depth of flavour. One thing it didn't have, that you get elsewhere was a lake of excess ghee floating on the surface. I had a garlic nan as well, I won't have any vampire worries later. Very much worth a visit, it is a shame we live so far away....

Wednesday set menu is good value for money and the host is very welcoming

Amazing food as always, everything tasted delicious, so much flavour. My husband had been out all day, so decided to grab a takeaway from King Of Spice, which is our local Indian restaurant. Always a warm welcome from Jamal and his team, we would recommend this restaurant highly and hopefully return again very soon!

Best curry I've had for a long time full of flavour

Myself and my husband wanted to find a nice Indian restaurant for eat in or takeaway. So we made the decision to book and try king of spice dine in and we were not disappointed at all!! The staff couldn't do enough, they were a tentative and so helpful. The food we were presented with was absolutely delicious!! It was served hot and the presentation was great. It was certainly authentic Indian food. The atmosphere was relaxing and also calming. We loved the added extras of the hit wipes after your meal also the little palate cleansing chocolate. Such good value for money as well and we will most definitely be back. Can't recommend enough.

Just like to say 1st time at this place. And great food. Happy staff and nothing out of there way to alter are add items that were not on the menu. Definitely be coming back when in the area thanks again from the table in the window lol

Collected take-away - the food was delicious! Easy to place order on their new website, the food was ready for collection on time, the staff was friendly, very good sized portions. We had three different meals plus generously sized tasty naan bread. We particularly recommend 'Slay the Dragon'!

King Of Spice is an absolutely delicious restaurant and takeaway. It boasts terrific Indian and Bengali cuisine and offers a large variety of all tastes (and temperatures) for lovers of authenticity prepared Indian food, crafted wonderfully. There are many dishes to try, with our favorites being the Tandoori Chicken and Tikka Masala. Even the appetizers such as onion bhajis and naan bread come piping hot, crisp and always fresh. The customer service (and delivery services) are excellent, with friendly consideration given for every order. In a world of sterile and cheap offerings, King Of Spice thankfully breaks the mould by offering both excellent quality and variety of food, alongside impeccably welcoming customer service. Highly recommended!

Most revolting food I've ever tasted, food delivered over an hour late, wrong order delivered. Worst customer service, whi stated the difference between a bhuna and a veg curry is the size of the pot delivered in! No refund or offer to deliver the correct order. Stay away unless you want food poisoning.

King of Spice is our go to Indian takeaway in the area. The food is absolutely delicious and always arrives hot. We always like to try different dishes and they never disappoint. And it's a bonus that they are the only food place in Honiton to deliver to our (rural) address!

Not to sure how king of spice is no1 in Honiton! Food ok naan not great, very pleasant staff which is its saving grace. There is obviously a roofing problem as there were buckets everywhere, it just felt like the place needed a good clean and a lick of paint. I don’t really like giving negative reviews but I have to tell it as I see it! Sorry.

We dropped in on the off chance on Sunday evening & were warmly welcomed & shown to a table. The food arrived exactly as ordered & was extremely tasty. The staff couldn't be more friendly & proudly showed us the very clean & well organised kitchen. When we received the bill we were pleasantly surprised at the very reasonable price & great value. This was our first visit, but definitely won't be the last.

1st visit as we were staying overnight after our land rover experience. Found the restaurant on Goggle. The car park is just a few steps away, so ideal! The food and service were great, and we would recommend them. It is BYO, so if you want a tipple, bring a bottle!

When holidaying in the otter falls we were gutted that the bistro was closed at the site, as the food looked great, feeling slightley panicked we searched for a delivery service and how anazingly lucky were we to find this place. The food was amazing the value for money was fantastic and the driver delivered to us at our remote location. A nice little restaurant and takeaway in the centre of Honiton. Service was great as was the food with the added bonus of it being a bring your own restaurant. Some disturbance from the very regular takeaway customers but nothing too bad.

This is our favourite Indian takeaway in the area. Always hot, fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly too. The Dhansak and Saag Paneer are particular favourites.

Best Takeaway in Honiton and our go-to Indian takeaway. We now have to get extra food when we order, as our young kids also steal our dinner when they know we are getting it from King of Spice.

Stopped overnight in Honiton on the way to Tintagel. We're so pleased we decided to pick the King of Spice, we had a really friendly welcome. Great choice and we enjoyed every mouthful. Huge portions but he gave us a doggy bag at the end....
