Viceroy Tawa in East Devon

We were welcomed into the restaurant by friendly staff and shown to our table. The decor is nicely plain, comfortable and the toilets exceptionally clean (always a good sign) The food was excellent, lots of it and high quality. Great service too, thank you to all involved. We will definitely visit next time we visit with our family from the Midlands.

Food was lovely as always, very nice variety on the menu, especially loved their keema naan bread. The service was fast and staff were respectful, kind and created a lovely atmosphere to have dinner with friends and family. I will definitely be coming here again, can't wait.

Horrible place, no atmosphere, rude staff, bad service, paid cash as didn’t trust the staff. Avoid this restaurant at all cost

Came here not knowing the restaurant had changed hands 4 years ago. Terrible experience. Only 3 tables service very slow only 1 person running the show. Food came out, naan undercooked a doughy one main meal wasn’t what was ordered replacement meal came out cold. I recommended it to friends, highly embarrassed will definitely not be returning.

Not impressed at all with the food, uncooked meat in my meal, when complained the staff were unhelpful, rude and untruthful. We will not be going in there again, No stars rewarded

I have just moved to the area and looked for an Indian takeaway who would deliver to EX15 on New Year’s Eve. I found the Viceroy Tawa on Facebook and had a meal delivered within 45 mins. Great food and service …..so happy to have found this restaurant and they will now become our regular !

Extremely disappointing visit with friends, poor service, manager advised no price list for drinks and couldn't give specific prices which sounded strange from the start...also allowed us to over order food when it was not required which any decent manager would advise us differently. When food did arrive very underspiced, flavourless tough lamb and dry chicken...upon giving feedback manager not interested or apologetic in any way...safe to say will not return and advise anyone looking for a decent curry with good service to widely avoid the Viceroy Tawa...

I got food poisoning and they didnt even acknowledge it just barred me , the young man in there steals phones and credit cards from rhe local club STAY AWAY

We are in Devon celebrating our birthdays and I fancied a curry for my birthday today. Well what a great meal we had. The restaurant does not look like the usual Indian ie not dark and gaudy and not in a normal setting (ie not in a hight street), the food and service was amazing. Every dish we had tasted different and the sag aloo was divine. The restaurant is run by a grandfather, son and grandson who were all very hospitable and accommodating my masala chai was great too.

The food was completely underwhelming. It tasted OK but was very mildly spiced (both in taste and hot spice) and not what I was expecting from the reviews.

Fantastic well priced meal, great friendly host, superb faultless food, certainly nothing greasy about the meal at all. I will say for others who might be visiting while on holiday or passing through, please don't judge a book by its cover, while the exterior and location might appear unconventional for a restaurant it is lovely and clean inside and the food is great.

Carefully unpacked my takeaway which was bought for me - it was just swimming in grease! Its now in the bin.. We used to like this place, but never again.

Lovely friendly staff the premises are very clean and welcoming decor fresh and airy We had a takeaway we pre ordered and then collected beautiful food sauces lovely Very hot in temperature so stayed nice Good menu with all your favorites and more A definite must while your in the area Thanks chaps keep up the good work

Great service, and food spot on. Prices reasonable considering the energy price hike. Would love to have this delivered but we live 35 minutes away but we are considering the travel as the food is the best we've tried so far

Excellent service and fantastic food. The staff were so helpful and gave great advice. The meal was hot and tasty, the wine fabulous, would definitely go again when in the area.
