Ordered a takeaway online for delivery. We selected the 6.50pm delivery slot but the confirmation email changed it to 7.10pm. By 7.45pm nothing had turned up so rang them to be told would arrive soon. It eventually arrived at 8.10pm and it was pretty cold. We heated it up in the microwave and it was delicious. All they had to do was make sure that they could deliver on their own delivery slots. If something unexpected had arisen, they had our email and telephone number. Just tell us. Food was nice but your service lets you down.

well I can't recommend them more what amazing service we had, food was on time and very nice tasting to ,they have just had a repaint an looks lovely and fresh will defo go again 5star from us

Ordered online early on a Saturday evening. Website booking was smooth and front of house staff friendly and helpful. Food was good quality and fairly reasonably priced.

We ordered a set meal for 2. Really enjoyed our food and easily fed us and 2 children with some extra rice and nan. No problems with delivery - we ordered online and it arrived about 20 minutes later. Will definitely order again.

We have ordered food from Papadom for the last few years and always enjoyed it. During lockdown, their delivery service has been a most welcome addition. On our last takeaway however we were pretty disappointed. Our order was totally forgotten about and so I had to call up when our delivery was over 30 minutes late. The member of staff was apologetic but when I explained that half of our family had ordered Chinese food and that had now gone cold (because they DID deliver on time) he just said, "we will make it now" and that it would be with us with 10 minutes. It wasn't though. In all we waited nearly an hour beyond our delivery slot to get our food, and half the party had now finished their cold Chinese. To top it all off, this was an anniversary meal and so we were left irritated at the situation. We contacted the restaurant via email to complain, but they never even got back to us. I understand that mistakes happen, but they have done nothing to make it right. I don't think we will use them again.

45 min wait and free delivery for our lovely hot food. Enough to feed a small family even though only ordered 2 dishes. Lovely taste from everything. No complaints here.

As good regular customers for some time now and really enjoying amazing food. After going away and not ordering for quite a few weeks we ordered again tonight to treat our selfs to realise either the chef has changed or the recipes as the flavours was so poor and just not the same your really nice tikka sauce has completely changed too we are really disappointed as this is something we really enjoyed and wasted 30 pounds worth off money on food that I cook better at home.i don't like to say that you have maybe lost yourself some good paying regular custom. And it's a shame because we had nothing but good to say befor now. And didn't wanna have to find a new takeaway

Having never visited before we decided to grab a take away with friends , phone ordered through an collected 25 mins later , very polite lady offered us drinks an a warm seat while we wait as was freezing outside Decor in restaurant is dated an could use some love but it certainly didn’t reflect the food , as this was fantastic , delicious fresh flavours generous portions left is happy n full . Will defiantly be returning soon

My husband and I occasionally have a take away on a Saturday evening and find any meal we have had from here very tasty. Nice and friendly too. We will continue to use it.

Food adequate but giving a time estimate for takeaway of 30 minutes then taking over an hour is beyond a diabolical liberty. They obviously knew it would take much longer but didn’t want to lose the custom. Just be honest. Shortsighted customer service. I would never go back there again. I was planning to use this as my regular Saturday night place but it would be quicker to drive a further 10 miles and use a more trustworthy and reliable restaurant.

My wife and I called into this so called Indian restaurant last night and ordered a meal that I thought you could not go wrong with lamb madras, lemon rice and chips with papadoms and dips. HOW WRONG I Was, the madras was Foul tasted like a cheap tinned supermarket meal with the rice not tasting of lemon and the chips disgusting. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We were the only people in the restaurant for the first half hour. Ordered our food and waited anxiously for its arrival. OMG!!!!! The food was amazing, plenty of it, tasty and lots of meat in the dishes. We wished we had visited this place sooner

We love this Indian, have had numerous take aways and dined in. The food is always freshly cooked, great value and really tasty. We wouldn't go anywhere else, it's a lovely family restaurant.

Very long wait for the delivery, every thing was cold, as if it had been left out for an hour cold. We tried to reheat what we could but the naan was rock hard and tasteless. The main dish was lamb madras I had a mouthful of fat and the other pieces were very fatty too. We rang to complain but they offered half price next time..there certainly won't be a next time. The poppadoms were nice though.

I love this place but its really hit and miss on what you order and what gets delivred. I order the same meal most of the time and what was a tasty meal is now a firey explosion, ive adked why each dish is so hot and why the chicken is barely cooked but it is lost in translation, what was my fave indian is now my 6th fave in the area. Guys pull your socks up

My wife and I regularly come here as our go-to Indian. We have got to know the owner and are always welcomed back with a smile. Food is reliably good. Nothing exceptional, but always good.

The food is excellent and the staff and very friendly; however the restaurant is very dated and scruffy. Wallpaper coming off the walls, stained ceilings and flooring missing - but great if you like bright pink decor!! The appearance of the restaurant sadly but naturally makes you wonder what they hygiene of the kitchen is like - but the food excellent, really good!! The staff are polite and friendly, we'll be back again, but only for take away!

Service was friendly. Accompaniments for poppadoms were disappointing. The main courses were excellent. All curries were served piping hot and very flavoursome.

Fast delivery, food was hot and the Balti s were probably the best we have ever had. Shall be ordering again and highly recommend 👌

We ordered a takeaway from here on Saturday night and the food was not a good standard at all. Everything was so greasy and the meat was really chewy. My mum had a Keema naan and it was pretty much a plain naan with the smallest amount of meat right in the corner. My madras was a lot of greasy sauce and not much of anything else! Such a shame, we will not be ordering a take away from papadom again!

This is our go to takeaway. The food is always very tasty, we have tried various different meals but the saag is the one we keep coming back to (delicious with a bit of a kick!) We have never eaten in but when we go and collect our meal it always looks clean and (what i assume is) the owner is always friendly and welcoming.

Reading the other reviews here, I have to wonder where the reviewers ate. For me this eatery fell short on all fronts - atmosphere/decor, service and food. Let me take you through these individually.The restaurant looks a bit scrappy and unfinished. We were seated next to a door which had been wallpapered over - and that included the door frame - with the emergency exit sign still above the now hidden door. The toilet was disgraceful and not just because it is decoratively shabby - we dined early, so I think I can fairly safely say, it had not been cleaned prior to opening hours.Anyway, on to service. We were 'greeted' and served by a very abrupt woman, but I think this was not intentional rudeness, but rather a lack of social skills - we all agreed she made us feel like naughty school children. For instance, rather than 'May I get you some drinks.' it was 'Do you want drinks.' very briskly delivered. Anyway, it was what it was and gave us something to giggle about later.The food was okay - by no means the worst curry I have ever had, but equally by no means the best. One of our group asked for a dish which she was assured they would make milder, but it was still much too hot for her. I confess mine was also hotter than I was expecting from the menu description. It was okay, but too fiery to finish.The six of us had been fed and dismissed within an hour and I'm afraid I shall not be hurrying back. Have to say interestingly, when we walked passed the other Indian restaurant on the road, it was almost full at just after eight in the evening, whereas Papadom had only four covers when we left.Sorry, but this was not a good dining experience and I could not in all good conscience recommend it to others.

My fiancee and i went here for a last minuet valentines meal as im partial to a Rajeshwari (not many Indians offer it on there menu) Although the decor and attention to detail need improving also the speed and delivery of your meal ! I can honestly say the actual food was fantastic not your normal pre/prepared curry.It was fresh and tasted like it, not something thrown together in ten mins. So our wait was immediately forgiven and forgotten we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals the Rajeshwari and murgh sylhetwould definitely eat here again

This is the second best curry house I have ever been too, in terms of taste and quality of the food, and I've been to a lot, all around the country. Their take away food is excellent. The restaurant is worth a look-see too, recently renovated.A very pleasant surprise. A gem in the heart of the West Country.

Having eaten here on many occasions I can say that on a good night the food is fantastic always fresh and always tastes great I opted for the Bangladeshi mix on my last visit and it was great but a tad too hot which depends on which chef is cooking. There isn't a corkage charge so take your own wine as the wine list is terrible and the beer is generally tepid and if you are taking kids take your own drinks for them too. Ambience is good at the weekend and quiet during the week but Tuesdays are worth a visit as its buffet night. Delivery is a bit slow as it can take them 2.5 hours to deliver on busy nights and check your order before the driver leaves as they have a habit of missing items off and then telling you they will knock it off the bill next time which is a pain if its the rice they missed !!!! In all a good curry house and one that I recommend.

Well since my last review I can report that this place has gone downhill, ive ordered delivery food on a couple of occasions recently where the order has been wrong or items missed and the delivery time has been in excess of two hours. The food quality is average and portion size seems lower than it used to be. Dont try complaining as they will not understand that as a customer it is nice to be listened to as the customer is generally right i do not expect to call to say that the rice is missing to be told that they will give me free rice the next time I order curry without rice !!! Its the attention to detail this place is lacking which I believe is down to lack of staff and a change of chefs come of guys pull it together your food and service used to be excellent!

Enjoyed a quiet night - nice food and good service - would return if in the area again. Not much open or available in the village when we there so a curry worked for us on our business trip

this indian restaurant was ok we went for a birthday meal but being midweek we were the only people in there so not much atmosphre food was good but may try a weekend night if we go back next time.

All of the food is cooked freshly unlike some places that use base curries which end up brown. I have eaten in this place over 30 times and the food is consistently fantastic, mainly Bangladeshi in origin the usual Indian classics can be found on the menu but my fave is the Bangladeshi Mix. You can bring your own wine to the fully licensed restaurant and they will not charge corkage but have a good selection of wines, beers and spirits. They will also do take away
