The best restaurants serving Indian food in Maidstone South East

Ordered for delivery on Valentine's Day, but it never showed up. Waited two hours just to be told that they had lost it. Complete waste of time and ruined evening. Would rate 0 if I could

The staff are so attentive and friendly. The food is delicious. We also appreciated a ‘drink on the house’ at the end of our meal. The Shamrat is our favourite Indian restaurant.

Great choice of dishes and great flavours. Really friendly staff and always on hand to help if needed. Can be a little noisy at busy times.

We were house sitting in the village and went for an impromptu meal. Great food, excellent table service and well priced tasty dishes.

Had a takeaway and as I walked in the restaurant was freezing cold and the only couple in there had requested a heater! Takeaway was bad. Absolutely no flavour to the Tandouri mixed grill. Chef has no idea how to cook this dish. The chicken was dry and tough as if it had been re heated. The Keema Naan was tough and chewy and obviously not freshly cooked. I gave them a second chance but will not be returning after paying £50 for a bad takeaway for 2.

Fantastic service and great food and we will absolutely be back again. The restaurant has had consistently good food since it opened in 2006 and we are frequent visitors through the busy periods and the quieter periods. If there has been any issue, the manager or Abdul (our favourite waiter) has always resolved our queries.

It's my go-to for a curry, whether takeaway or dining in.

Highly recommend this restaurant, very good portion sizes and the dishes contain lots of meat, the delivery drivers are always friendly and polite, highly the recommend the Jal Massala lamb it’s a really dish, a perfect amount of spice, the high quality of dishes are very good value for money

Difficult to say how terrible our experience was. Firstly the welcome service was good, fun and relaxing.Then the food came out. We didn't get what we wanted, 2 dishes had to he returned, a replacement came but was just as appaulling. I did complain to the owner, and suggested he charged me what he thought it was worth. £30 from a £90 meal says it all. I made a point of not making my comments made in front of other dinners, but they also felt as though it wasn't up to par. If you want to take the risk and roll the dice, take a visit, but I suggest you look elsewhere.

We don’t go regularly however when we do we’re always struck by the friendly team. The food is always delicious, well prepared and presented. Service is fast, the team totally helpful and you always feel welcome and appreciated

A lot of the sauce had been spilt on the way from all the containers, it was very messy and has stained my worktop but the food was quite good.

Once again fantastic food alongside fantastic service Highly recommended we will continue use this restaurant it is Outstanding!!!!!!
