Indian Ocean in Maidstone

A lot of the sauce had been spilt on the way from all the containers, it was very messy and has stained my worktop but the food was quite good.

Once again the food was nice and hot when received, tasty and order was correct. Will definitely order again.

Great cooking and blend of spices that has more layers of taste than you expect compared with other Indian restaurants. A little less oil please, that is more than usual, but probably is the reason for the flavour :)

Delivery was 1st class , everything was as ordered , excellent quality , piping hot , absolutely delicious.

Always had really lovely food from Indian Ocean and decided to try something different this time. Unfortunately it was not good at all. Lamb chops were pretty much all bone & fat. The little bit of meat that was there was tough. The Spinach & potatoes were greasy. It won’t put me off ordering again as I said always been good before … hopefully this was a one off.

Food was great as usual, pity it was all over the bottom of the bag when it arrived, there must be a better way of delivering food orders

It was delicious curry but unfortunately there were bits of something in it which were inedible…like really hard lumps of something brown that made a noise like gravel hitting the plate when I spat it out. It was in nearly every mouthful so it completely ruined the meal. It was in the sauce, not the rice. It was not spice of any kind. Very weird and unpleasant. It was bad enough that I won’t be ordering from them again and they were my go to Indian…what a shame.

Chicken Tikka masala - too much artificial red color in it. The curry was totally red with no particular taste. Dhakshwari chicken was good.

Fantastic meal. Zingy and incredibly tasty. Great portions too. Can’t wait to order from the Indian Ocean again.

An hour late and cold. Very poor service, mediocre food and cold food. Never again.

Burger was great, one of the best I’ve had locally in a long time. The chicken wings were good too. Only critique is that the chips let’s it down, could of used a better quality of chip or at least seasoned them.

Ordered lamb chops, got a container full of bones and gristle. It was literally inedible. This has always been my Indian. I’m shocked.

Was great only they forgot a rice that goes with one of the mains I ordered stated it comes with rice but other than that was lovely

We won’t buy Indian from anywhere else, it is really good food and good value. My only disappointment was the dish I had was chicken on the bone and I’m not a fan, there was no indication on the menu that this was the case.

Wonderful food full of flavour, a firm favourite!

This has to be the best Indian I’ve had for a long time. The food did not disappoint at all. it came nice and hot and the flavours and portions were perfect. My wife is vegetarian and we always have issues trying to pick something that is A. Fulling and B. Tasty with some spice. She absolutely loved the vegi with cream korma. The onion bhaji’s were amazing and not done like other restaurants. So for a first time order with these guys, I cannot recommend them enough.

Absolutely fantastic food. Great portions. Some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had. Unavoidably late due to traffic caused by an accident. Well worth the wait.

I was in M&S buying a meal for 2 when I got a message from my husbands fav takeaway promising 15% off. Hoorah! I checked their website- 15% off We phoned in our order but were told we could only have 10% off. I mentioned the message and the website but they said no. You can order online and this said 15% discount. But when we went to checkout the amount said 15% off but it was only 10% of the total- it’s a good job we can do percentages! We are now at the Ghurka kitchen in Maidstone getting a fabulous takeaway for just £31 - it’s over £40 at the Indian Ocean for the same meal. We have been customers of the Indian Ocean and have run the gauntlet with the jobs who hang around outside for the last couple of decades but probably won’t return.

Excellent service & quality again.

I ordered from here a few weeks back. Went simple for a set meal and it was delicious. Requested a Pashwari Naan instead of plain like the set meal stated and they were happy to oblige which I really appreciated! Will be ordering from here again... tonight, in fact !

Delicious food as always. One comment and not really a criticism is that the samosas…which were yummy.. were very small, should not have been away from their mother.,if I had known I would have ordered two lots. I’ll know next time :)

the bhajis and the poppadoms were a little overcooked, but still very edible, the madras was a little too hot compared to other places I've had one before but this isn't really a bad thing - tasted good.

Food was as ordered, arrived 5 mins early was hot and delicious. Seemed more authentic than the usual fairly generic food from other restaurants.

Have ordered a few times here. Food always fantastic. And I have had one issue with my order (the bag broke as the delivery man handed it to me) but the restaurant dealt with and sent out new food in less than 10 minutes. Fantastic place

Brilliant food and a great delivery driver

Received an email to say food was on its way (3 miles) and after 25 minutes (already 20 minutes late by this stage) we called the restaurant and they said it was as 5 minutes away. Kept blaming the traffic (no traffic shown on Apple Maps). When we called again they said they would get the driver to call us. We didn’t get a call. The manager then called and said we could have “something off next time if our food was cold”. I expressed my disappointment at this offer as an exchange for potentially cold food. The driver did call and said he was 10 minutes away - and he was as. The food arrived 45 minutes late, cold. The driver said he had been given the food at a different time to what the restaurant said. When the food arrived cold we called the restaurant and we’re offered 50% off next time. We said that while generous, it’s not comparable to stone cold food this time and were told “that’s all we can do to still make profit”. Profit!! Stone cold food is the aim in their customer as long as they’re making profit. Disappointed and food not nice. Will avoid in future!!!

Food told me it was on its way which took 40 minutes when it’s only a 5 minute drive. When it arrived half my order was missing they told me they would send out what was missing and didn’t then ignored the phone. Would NOT Reccomend!

Food was amazing as always only problem was we was a rice too short as we ordered 2 and also we ended up with 2 chicks tikka masala and not 1 chicken tikka and 1 chicken korma. Apart from that was all good 😊

Missing Order Items. When called said they would remember it for next order, after telling them that we had paid for them we would like them now they said it'd be 10-15 minutes. Never showed. Have asked Just Eat for a refund. Won't be using Indian Ocean again.

Food was okay, however the dishes were very bland and didn’t have much flavour. The sauces were very grainy. The naan was very soggy and didn’t seemed fully cooked, the rice was nice however was over powering even on its own.

I had a delivery ordered to the support facility I work for and the delivery driver was very arrogant and incompetent. He let himself into the care facility and wandered through, past the numerous signs saying to ring the bell and wait and that nobody is allowed to enter the premises withing a negative LFT and a mask. When asked to wait outside he stood there with a gawping look on his face until he was shoo'ed out, he then stated that "we've forgotten all of that", that being covid. This is a home for vulnerable people with clear signage that you cannot just walk in!

I ordered from this takeaway last night I had King Prawn Curry ,Aloo gobi , lamb madras ,pilau rice , well all I can say is POOR ! the Madras had about 6 pieces of lamb and was chewy , King Prawn Curry (WHERE WERE THE KING PRAWNS) ! pilau rice was greasy the Aloo gobi was the best thing there .So much Sauce was that to hide the measly potions by just covering it up with sauce ???? I will never get a takeaway from them again.

This place is very hit and miss. After ordering last night and waiting an hour and a half to receive cold food and wrong curry which was horrible. Side dishes not all that either, waste of £50! I will not be ordering from here no more.

Used this takeaway for a few years. The chicken korma today and a month ago the chicken was so dry it was inedible, the korma sauce is a gelatinous gloop and the mushroom pliau is egg fried rice with 2 mushromms in. Will not use this takeaway again I will make my own it will ne better quality and edible.

As usual the food was piping hot and extremely delicious.
