I have been frequenting the Ali Raj ever since it opened and always been happy with the food when ordering a chicken dish. On this occasion I went for Lahori Jhal Machli, which is grilled fish with prawns. The sauce and prawns were fine but the fish, supposedly cod, consisted of bits of skin and no white fish. Very disappointed.

Food was delicious, service very good, selection on the menu also very good. Only thing with this place is the decor, needs some work as it looks dirty inside, as you go up the stairs the walls are dirty, toilets with tiles missing and not done up properly, lighting was not good either with no ambience. No soft music playing either. I would defo eat there again but only a takeaway and never to sit in, I dressed up for nothing really.

We attended here for a big family banquet. We ordered several tawa dishes. I was not too keen on the chicken tikka, the rest of the food went down well. The staff were attentive, the service was reasonably speedy. It was a good family get together.

We’ve been here three times now and felt the need to give them a glowing review!!! We’ve eaten in, and taken away, and the food here is top notch. How they are not the top Indian restaurant in the Whitchurch area I do not know. They ARE the best Indian restaurant in Whitchurch, hands down! 👏🏻

Usually 9/10 but unfortunately tonight and actually last night (we are camping) 4/10 , ordered extra curry sauce that was seriously watery and keema naan that consisted of 0 keema and just naan . Really disappointed . We ordered extra sauce as we noticed that the last 2 times the curries had been lacking in sauce , which is the reason for this review . Not only are the sauce portions getting smaller but it now appears extra sauces are being watered down and either the wrong orders being give in relation to naan bread or again ingredient being reduced massively. Absolutely love this place usually been coming once twice a year for a few years and it’s just frustrating to see this

Was a takeaway. Only place we order knowing the food is always great. So we ho online order are food of around £50 like we usually do an its accepted an the money taken from account. To then be msgd about 10 mi. Later sayin it's can cancelled an my money will go bk in 5 working days!!! R u having a laugh. If ur not open for what ever reason u simply shun be able to take orders an ppl then lose out for well with it bein weekend my money prob be back after then after a week. It's ridiculous taking orders when ur not even open. I msgd an explaind but still nothing a day later I'm sure they see the msgs. Such a shame as food here is so good this has let it down an now put me off

Very pleasant experience overall. The waitress who served us was lovely, friendly and polite. She explained the menu as new customers and gave recommendation. We took her word and the Thalia ordered did not disappoint. We left full and very happy, with a bag of takeout produce they sell from their deli counter. Parking is plentiful in the rear council carpark, which is free and easily accessible.

This was hands down some of the best Indian food I have ever had. Ive had Indians up and down the country and have never really enjoyed them but go with my wife as it's her favourite. The staff (father and son i believe) that greeted us were super friendly and attentive and I cant fault the food. No criticisms whatsoever. I will most definitely be returning here and bringing the rest of the family.

Once again a superb meal at The Kasturi; I've been with both family and friends and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an Indian restaurant in Southport. Friendly staff; great service, what more could one ask for? Booking advisable at the weekend.

This was our 3rd visit and was as equally as good as the 1st time . The food is plentiful and extremely tasty. The staff are friendly and work so hard . It's always busy which speaks volumes .. this is by far our favourite Indian restaurant and certainly will return
