Visit here regularly and will continue to do so, best indian in the area by a long shot. Food fresh and very tasty, owner taz and his staff couldnt do more for you if they tried.

We come to Blackpool for a few days, it's Friday night & we wanted an Indian takeaway, went onto Google, this restaurant come up, so glad we found it. It was beautifully cooked. We stayed in Thornton. The delivery was longer than expected due to the riots - (not their fault.) The phone line was easy to connect too. We ordered the mixed grill starter, chicken tikka masala, 2 X naan bread, chips, poppadoms, sauces and salad. Well worth it. Clear plates at the end. Would definitely recommend if you are a local or visiting the area.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING. My partner orders Vindaloo and Pilau rice, I order a Raza with Balti sauce, onion rice, garlic and coriander nan, a chapati and popadoms, and mango chutney. This is by far the best Indian food in the Fylde, my partner’s favourite food is Indian and he has tried everywhere and is hard to please but he gives this establishment 10/10. The flavours are so tasty. Other places can be good but there’s never any consistency, with Meherin we have NEVER had a bad meal. We can’t wait to order again soon. Julie.

I have been using the Meherin for years now, takeaway, Christmas, Birthdays etc. and it is the only consistent indian restaurant I have come across. Taz and his team are the best, friendly service, great knowledge on the dishes. Myself and my wife have been tonight, Sat 22 June 2024, for my birthday, Papadoms and chutney, chicken tikka south indian garlic (which is one of the most tastiest dishes I have ever had), fish bhuna, garlic rice, chips, keema naan and 2 1/2 pints of Lal Toofan £65. Eyes bigger than my belly we had to take some home, but that wont last long,,, Breakfast? wont be the first time !!! So as I sit here quietly sipping a glass of wine I say, you need to try the Meherin, great beer and food, great staff and Taz is the star of the show .... Cheers !!!

Meherin always puts an excellent meal together along with great service and staff. The main man Taz will do his very best to make sure you have a great experience. It has always been top quality. No problem supporting this restaurant I have been a customer for a long time.

Waited nearly 2 hours for delivery. Ordered mixed tandoori. Just big chucks of overcooked meat. The lamb was inedible and the sauce was waterer and with no flavour. Avoid

Extremely Slow Service and Cold Food. Witnessed other diners complaining about the wait for food. Sorry wont be back.

Been a few times over the years. Not been for a while was always good. We booked and table was not ready when we arrived. We ordered drinks but got the starter first after asking 3 times for our drinks. It’s was busy tbh. But the main came quickly was surprised. When it came it was watery with no flavour very bland. The portion was small to. The worse bit they charged us bang on £55 for 2 mains shared a rice and a portion of onion barji. I have 2 pints and my partner had a Malibu and lemonade. Should of no more than £45. Will not be going back again. The following night we went to another Indian had more food and drink and it was cheeper and

I live just around the corner from the Meherin and have used them several times in the past and never had a bad meal. However this is the first time I have been since lockdown was lifted. I had a very enjoyable meal . Food was plentiful and delicious. They have had a refurb whilst closed and the ambiance lovely so on that note Food second to noneRestaurant so pleasant Staff Brilliant

Our meal was nothing short of amazing! From our king prawn puris with the lightest, least greasy puri bread we’ve ever had, to the chicken tikka sabji with its unique and moreish flavour, Meherin didn’t disappoint on any level. Even the traditional curry house favourite (‘basic’ curry), lamb madras, was perfectly balanced and absolutely divine. Both dishes had plenty of meat and were so substantial, we even had to take the madras home! We had 7/8 large pieces of the softest, most flavourful lamb we’ve eaten in a curry (we always go non-tikka as we find it is softer).Maybe we’re just not gluttons like those who have commented that the portions are small with little meat.If you want colossal portions of poor quality, pre-made, ‘Pataks jar’ curry, you will need to look elsewhere!!You can taste these are all cooked from scratch, and the slight wait because of this is well worth it.We dined early on a Saturday night (5:30pm) as we were a walk in and thought it would be too busy later. We were right! The restaurant was full by 7:30pm. We had a lovely, relaxed sitting and weren’t hurried at all, because we dined early.Service was efficient and friendly. The waiter interacted with us and our with our daughter, who had just turned 8. He was amazed she was eating a king prawn puri for starter, given that it’s quite spicy. She had a chicken tikka (starter-sized portion) as her main course, which was more than enough for her. We have several, closer Indian restaurants, but none are a patch on Meherin.All the five star reviews are not wrong and we’re pleased to add another one to the list!

Ordered a couple of meals for delivery and was told 45mins to 1 hour, which was fine.however after 1 hour 15mins had pasted i called the restaurant to ask for an update ETA, only to be told he is telling everyone the delivery time is 1hour 15mins to 1 hour 30 to which he put the phone down on the counter and i heard him saying to his staff "where is this mans order". It was a clear misplaced order but my issue here is they did not have the decency to say sorry we misplaced your order and the chef is cooking your meal now, instead i was told another lie when he came back on the phone to say "the driver is on his way" When i did get eventually get my meals it tasted like it was rushed with no care and consideration taken.

Right this used to be a good curry house with good prices however I’ve just been tonight for the first time in over a year and was charged £72 for two adults and two small kids and the portions were tiny compared to last time we came also the flavours weren’t there I’m very disappointed in this place now feel I’ve been ripped off

First visit to this restaurant but it will not be the last. I can't believe I haven't found it years ago. Everything we ordered was lovely. Four very different and distinct dishes. Meat was melt in your mouth, prawns juicy and tasty. Service was great and we all felt very safe covid wise. Our 3 year old granddaughter was also made to feel very welcome. If you haven't been give it a try. Don't let the shop front put you off. This is a hidden gem.

Passing thro. Cleveleys, parked up the Moho on the promenade to watch the sunset. Had a curry for 4 delivered and wasn't disappointed.- Delivered promptly,- Piping hot,- Great deal, starter, main meal and 1 sundrie for only £10.95 each, - No waste, lovely meal.. If we're passing thro. again we would definately come back...

Having read the reviews we were looking forward to a tasty birthday treat. What a disappointment. 3 out of 4 meals ordered were bland and tasteless. The Chicken Tikka Massala consisted of 6 small pieces of chicken and a mound of over sweet, sickly sauce. It tasted like Korma with bright pink food colouring added. Horrible. The Dansak just tasted of pineapple and the Veg Curry (medium) was mainly frozen veg in a curry powered flavoured mild sauce. The Meherin Special was nice but it was not medium to hot at all..mildly spiced at the most. The meat in that dish was cooked well. Finally it says 5% discount if you collect. When given the bill the 5% was not included and we had to point this out and have the bill amended. Disappointing experience and not worth the money.

The best Indian I have had in ages! Hot, spicy, fresh! Just so lovely and tasty! I am 100% going to recommend this place first Time and won't be my last!

Myself and my husband visit last night. What can we say the front of house team were amazing. Nothing was to much trouble. I like my curry to be extra hot but with good flavour. My husband likes a mild curry so he decided to have the butter chicken.From the starter main and even down to the brandy coffee we could not fault anything. Looking forward to our next visit.

Came across this restaurant while driving round Blackpool and surrounding areas and decided to give it a try for dinner that night. Fabulous food, very attentive staff, wine was good and all together medium priced meal. If I lived in that area I would make it my local restaurant. Would highly recommend, easy to park and very enjoyable meal.

Excellent takeaway tonight during lockdown.Food arrived piping hot and on time.3 lovely tasting curries, especially my 'taste of shundaborn' , absolutely deliscious!!A gorgeous tikka massalla and a lovely flavoursome Karahi. Great big portions of rice and a lovely soft naan.Wished we were eating in but the takeaway was just as good. All we need is Taz getting us all another beer from the fridge.10/10.

Bit silly but I live 200 yards away. and thought for the past two years that it was a takeaway. So my granddaughter came to visit and off we go. We had the usual popadoms with mango onions chilli. Very nice. I had the Chicken Pakora as a starter. Once again good. lamb rogan josh for main with rice. ( now then at this point in time I was so full they made left overs onto a takeaway for me). We had great banter with staff and they were all very attentive and entertaining. My granddaughter and partner both had different menu. bhuma and masala and both enjoyed (Still don’t know donny restaurant let us know it was so funny)

I visited the restraunt on NYE and it was very busy as expected. This was a cheap night out for the quality of the food, £25ph was outstanding given the time of year.The menu was a set menu but given how busy the place was it was to be expected.They catered slightly outside of the menu upon request as I like my curries slightly different to what was offered.All in all for a party of 8 this was a great experience and the staff were very polite.We will definately be frequenting this establishment on a kore regular basis and have already booked for an upcoming birthday party.Thanks again guys and keep up the good work.Happy New Year

For New Year’s Eve we booked a table of 10 in October. We rang up to add a couple more people on and the person on the phone was very abrupt and wasn’t happy about it. When we arrived, there was people still on our table and we didn’t get sat down until 25 minutes after our booking time of 8pm. We was left without drinks or menus until at 8:50 a waiter finally asked what we wanted to drink. Still without a menu, we finally got our drinks at 9:10pm. We finally got given a menu after asking them several times. The menu was very overpriced, £25pp for a starter of poppadoms OR a mixed kebab and then a choice of chicken or lamb tikka with a curry sauce which didn’t include many popular curries. If bought off the menu, it would have cost less than £15! When the food came it was very average and very small portions. Lastly, when they gave us our bill it had 9 extras on which they couldn’t account for and had charged us for double gins instead of singles, it took a lot of persistence for the waiter to acknowledge this, god knows how many people they rip off like this. All in all, a very disappointing experience which left us all feeling ripped off. Had takeaway from here before and that was very nice, it was very clear they were understaffed and were prioritising takeaways instead. Go to sunam in bispham in future.

Took ages to get starters. They were fine. Then ages to get mains. Meanwhile the takeaways were piling out from the back. Hello? We’re actually sitting at a table. Weird. Chicken tikka biryani was dry and unthrilling. Bhajis not great. Balti was good. Not as amazing as I expected, and rather expensive.

The food from here is always top notch. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and are more than happy to help if you need anything changing on the menu.

My partner & I chose to stay locally for our recent visit for his birthday as the only thing he wanted to do was visit Meherin for his birthday supper.

Well ! reviews on here sounded great. I made the suggestion for a change and we went early so the lads could go out afterwards. we arrived at 7pm on a fiday night and sat at the only available table.Staff seemed to be in short supply. Our order was taken around 7.45.pm the main courses arrived at 8.45pm The three main courses looked the same consistency but different shades myself and one of the others had chicken which was firm\hard and dry our other friend had lamb which he said was fine but nowhere as good as our usual indian restaurant. My friend told the waiter it wasnt very tasty or hot the waiter said noone else had said anything it was fine for the people that usually visited that didn't like too spicey or hot. He brought a spicy mixture for my friend to add to his curry. As we where in a hurry and it was now after 9pm we paid and left.

We visited on a Saturday evening we were seated within 10 mins but then had to wait an hour and 15 minutes to be fed meanwhile the take aways were going out the door really quickly people were ordering and getting their meals within 30 mins I was very disappointed with the service should serve the customers you have before concentrating on the ones that ring up for a takeaway won't be in a hurry again meal was OK nothing special

Went for a special occasion with the family 8 of us. Perfect service and perfect food. The staff could not have been nicer, and all our food was top quality. I love Madras, and my lamb one was just the job. The whole evening was a delight. Best Indian on the Fylde by far..Thanks guys!

Me and my partner have been on the hunt for a while trying to find a decent Indian, we’ve probably tried every single one from St Anne’s to Fleetwood. After seeing the reviews for Meherin we placed an order for delivery last night. The food arrived within the hour as stated when we placed the order. We went for an onion bahji starter, a chicken tikka biryani with a masala sauce, garlic naan bread and 3 poppadoms with a chutney tray. The food was piping hot and very fresh, the flavours were absolutely outstanding. We’ve finally found a top quality Indian takeaway, can’t wait to go and dine in the restaurant. We will now be regular customers on a weekly basis.

My partner and I stayed in Cleverley for the first time last night. We were looking for somewhere to eat and decided we wanted Indian. I found Meherin on TA and after a recommendation from the security manager at the bar we were having a drink in decided to give it a try.

We read the reviews & were still sceptical of how good the food was.

Popped in midweek with the family to be greeted by a cheerful waiter, and soon ordered and served. Food was a delight, staff were friendly and even made time for a nice chat, surroundings were lovely - a delightful visit, will definitely call in again when we are up this way.

Excellent food, good prices, now a regular haunt for us all. Cannot fault the hospitality or the food.

My lady friend & I love Indian food - but after living in the 'Balti Triangle' of Birmingham for a number of years we've been sadly disappointed with the 'offerings' we have found since moving to Lanc. I suppose we've been spoiled by restaurants that cater for their own ethnic clientele - so the food HAS to be good !

I have been frequenting Indian restaurants / eateries since 1973, if I don’t like then my footfall is missing. This is a gem , order what you really want and it is provided, if you are used to flavours and spices that please you ,then don’t be shy they will cater . Every time we go the consistency of the food is the same superb! if they are very busy and full,

I have eaten a few different meals here over the last couple of months and the food is always top notch. The staff are friendly and attentive. If you looking for an Indian and are in the area then definitely give this place a go!

Love this place. Service from Taz is always welcoming. We moved out of the area some time ago now. But still we make the trip back to the meherin. Be it for eating in or just taking out. There is no finer anywhere on the fylde. We'll done to all the team you do a fantastic job. Alli love that Brilliant white smile mate. Looking forward to our next visit guys.

This is my go to restraunt for the last 3 years. Food is consistently top notch. They always find a space for me. Even on Valentines they squeezed us in. Food is a good mix of indian food and the biryanis are just sensational. When we don't feel like going out we order the takeaway that seems to always be 20 minutes. Take away is just as good as the restraunt food just cheaper and in your own house. Staff are always courteous and friendly.

We booked a table for 7:00, arrived on time,to find our table was not ready for us. There was no where to sit and wait as it was full of people waiting for their take aways. We were not offered drinks while we waited or even an apology for the delay.After around 10 minutes we left,as there were no signs of a table becoming available very soon. Very disappointed as it was a special occasion for us.

Special trip for me and Mrs A but Taz and his team didn’t fail to impress, the place was very busy but we didn’t feel ignored throughout our evening as we were fed like kings

First time visit as we are new to the area. Prompt service, cheerful staff in a smart casual restaurant. The takeaway was great quality. We will return to eat in soon.

I have dined at hundreds of Asian restaurants over the years, both here in the UK and overseas. I was visiting relatives who live near Blackpool in November, we opted to return to this restaurant again, having enjoyed the food and service so much on a similar trip last year.

Just had mabe one of the best takeaway curries I’ve ever had. Delivered piping hot and with a friendly smile off taz. We ate every single bit of it. (Chilli naan bread was a bit hot tho)🤯 absolutely spot on and worth every penny..👍

Visited Blackpool from Manchester and called in for a meal that was delicious ! The service was exceptional & the atmosphere within the restaurant was fabulous . Thank you so much for a wonderful evening . Highly recommended

Popped in one night when I couldn’t be bothered to make tea for the family. We hadn’t booked but luckily Taz squeezed us in as it was still fairly early.

Had a lovely meal tonight very good food and lovely service from all the staff! We will definitely be returning. I had a Rajasthani lal it was fab as was all the food.

We are new to the area and decided to try a takeaway. We chose the fixed meal for two at £25 and each course was absolutely delicious. It was a Saturday night and delivery only took 30 minutes. We will definitely return only this time we will book a table in the restaurant.

We were I. Blackpool for a family funeral and had only arrived about 5 o’clock met with family and discussed where we could eat and someone suggested this Indian. We were not displeased completely the opposite everyone enjoyed and praised the food the selection and asked questions which were answered with no difficulty.The presentation was lovely the meat succulent and the spice and taste was superb. The staff were happy chatting young men and nothing was to much trouble. We will be back again soon xxxx

Really polite on the phone and the delivery guy was extremely friendly,the food was really really nice fresh salad extra poppadoms (but only charged for what I ordered!!)Tikka massala was really tasty just a tad too much coconut for me,wouldn’t hesitate to order again though recommended

I can with all honesty say that tonight we had one of the blandest curry take aways we have had for many a year. A chicken korai and a king prawn korai where really lacking in flavour. There was no evidence of cumin,coriander, tumeric or chilli. The meat had obviously been pre prepared with sauce poured on later. There was little or no flavour. It was also served as tikka and when I queried this was told the menu states all specials are tikka but wrong it does not say this. Can't fault the rice or naan. Spoke to the manager and just got "first time we have had a complaint" stock answer.

We have been coming here for a number of years now and you are always met with a smile. Genuine staff who make you feel so welcome. Food was fantastic along with great service. What more could you ask for!

Ordered a takeaway and delivery. Every dish absolutely delicious and fresh. Tandoori mixed grill was amazing. Don’t hesitate to order from here (a tad more expensive) but you won’t be disappointed and we’ve found our new Indian gem!

We found Meherin on Trip Advisor and were very pleased that we made the journey to eat there. Decor was good, very clean & tidy (including the loos) We were seated quickly with only 2 other tables occupied. It took a little while for us...

Four of us went for a meal on Friday night. Staff are pleasant and welcoming asked if we were warm enough as it was a cold night. Service was quick and the food was well presented and gorgeous! My hubby was being adventurous and ordered the South Indian Garlic king prawns. He said it was a lovely dish but seriously hot so if you like your curries really hot this is the dish for you lol! We always get our take-aways from here but it’s lovely to sit in and be waited on and not have to do the washing up. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon!

On holiday here for the week , Thought we would treat ourselves to an Indian takeaway, this looked like a good place to go by reviews we read , now before I start I have to say we are from Bradford , probably the best Curries in England are made there , our favourites being Akbar’s , Idle Balti and Aagrah, but there are many more , so we probably are a hard couple to please , the curry’s we ordered from this place were bland , more sauce than meat , no heat , no flavour in fact just awful , the onion bahjis were greasy and the size of marbles and the chapattis were thick and doughy , the only nice thing I could say is the pickle tray was ok and poppadoms crispy, the menu looks impressive but the food didn’t match it I’m afraid , very disappointed my advice guys , rethink your recipes , and anyone reading this get tha sen to Bradford curry Capital of England tha can’t beat it !!

My husband and I are so disappointed by takeaways where we live we decided to order and collect from Meherin as visited here 2012. Food delicious, quality outstanding, dishes all cooked from fresh. Absolutely top class and Taz so obliging. You have to give this establishment a try and you will not be disappointed! Five star authentic cuisine

I love the Meherin! They can never do enough for you. The staff are always pleasant and the food is delicious every time. It’s hard to find an Indian that serve decent chips.. theirs are so good!!! Chicken madras with pilau rice, chips and a garlic naan... OOF. Come to mama.

My wife & I have visited the Meherin on a number of occasions. We have always found the staff, the service & the food quality to be exceptional. Last Fridays visit was just as good as our previous visits. However the food gets better & better. When you next visit Cleveleys give the Meherin a visit.

We tried Meherin for a takeaway on a friend's recommendation. We were not disappointed ata all. An imaginative menu, and good rice choices; it is nice to see lemon rice on a menu. All of our dishes were well produced and very tasty.That good in fact, that we have used them them a further two times in just over a week.

We go to the restraunt every other weekend and would not go to any other around Cleveleys as this is the best. Taz; the manager is very helping and will accommodate everyone's taste.

After being shown to our table we sat without drinks or a menu for 15 minutes, it wasn't full just 3/4 other tables but the phone, which rings constantly and far too loudly, was manned by the bar man who felt that takeaways were clearly more important than the people sat in the restaurant, not a good start, we got our own menus and my husband stood at the bar for drinks, he was told someone would come and take the order straight away. We ordered the food from a large menu, when it arrived it was quality and hot, the only waiter ran around the tables bringing food and drinks to each table, good place if you're not in starving or in a hurry. Priced reasonably cheap for a starter main and a couple of drinks £40 ish, no tip this time boys you need to work on your service!

Friendly staff and a nice restaurant which combined with very tasty food should have earned 5 stars. Unfortunately 5 small pieces of chicken in a curry is rather penny pinching and detracted from the overall experience.

Good food apart from once when the meal felt a little over cooked. That was a one off and normally it's great. Had both takeaways and eaten in. Staff are very welcoming and the restaurant is lovely.

We have been here a few times and once again I tried something different.A taste of Shubondron chicken tikka I think it was called and has to be one of if not the best curry I have ever had.If you like madras heat curries I can strongly recommend it although next time I will have a lamb tikka version,as this place can also cook lamb tikka without it tasting like old shoes!

Just placed an order and couldn't believe the staff when I rang I asked do you do a chicken tikka korma his answer was we do chicken tikka and korma so I asked another 3 times with the response we do tikka and chicken yes or no would off sufficed the person who answered the phone then sighed and asked was this a prank call. I'm 32 years old not 12 and felt insulated he asked when he didn't answer my question 5th time of asking he said yes we do chicken tikka korma so I placed my order and he said 30 mins he then hung up the phone before I asked how i could pay? I rang back straight away asked him if I could pay on card he said yes I then asked can he calculate my bill I was greeted with another sigh obviously a chore for him I then said thank you see you 30 mins and got no response no matter how good the food is no need to be rude not once but twice.

Went to this restaurant on a quiet Tuesday evening (only one other table with customers). However, the young waiter was a joy - VERY attentive, helpful and wanted to please. The food too was very good and excellent value (starters, mains and drinks for less than £40). The restaurant is not on a front street but you will not be disappointed if you dine here.

We have used this restaurant many times and always had a good meal. Very friendly staff. The place is quite small so it is worth booking if going at popular times. Very good value for money. Always excellent service , especially when we require nut free if our daughter comes with us.

After moving back to the local area late last year, I've been scouring for an Indian takeaway and restaurant that I can claim as my local. It took 3 before this, wading through a lot of awful places in Poulton and Cleveleys, but Meherin has come out on top and I've now being going every fortnight since February or so with my old man. Service is impeccable by the young team out front. We always have a couple of beers while we wait for our food, but nothing is ever an issue. The food is always first class and portions far better than others in the area. Puts the rest to shame.

WOW .. i've been eating Indian takeaway is in the Cleveleys area for 15 years.. But this is the first visit to this establishment. It will definitely not be the last. Mixed starter followed by a south Indian garlic chicken. Mushroom rice. Garlic naan bread. Absolute perfection I will definitely be back

After our appalling treatment at the Fayez, Cleveleys, I took my sons to the Meherin.Amazing service, the best Indian food I have ever tasted and I have travelled the world experiencing numerous Indian dishes. The waiter was extremely courteous and everso helpful. He recommended gorgeous dishes and the combination of spices are still dancing in my mouth. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Great food, great service, great prices! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, I would certainly recommend the sizzling brandy (just wish I had taken a photo of when it was set on fire!!) absolutely delicious! Toilets are clean and smell fresh and it has a five star food hygiene rating - definitely worth a visit!

We called in after seeing this restaurant on trip advisor. They made extra effort to fit us in as we hadn't booked and they were busy. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The meal was the best we had had in a long time. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Excellent little restaurant. Super friendly staff. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Was popular with people wanting to eat in and takeaway. Would definitely visit again next time we are in Blackpool as it was a short tram ride away.

Avid curry fans after frequenting some of the northwests finest curry houses this ones right up there with the very best of them food is consistently tremendous and nothing is too much trouble for the very friendly staff.
