Very nice! First time ordering, will be ordering again!

Food used to be lovely, ordered last night and the curry was very different to usual. The garlic nann was just a stale piece of bread, no flavor of garlic nothing at all just a dry plain freezing cold nann. Will be finding another local indian to use

For a korma it was far too spicy!

Disappointing. Food was stone cold. Only the curry was barely warm. Naan bread was freezing and hard, onion bhajis cold and chewy. Not happy. Never again, Time to find a new Indian Takeaway

Starters cold and no popperdoms recieved

What has happened to this place yes it's been a while since we last ordered from here, no popperdoms although paid for, all starters were cold aswell as the rice and the bhuna I got because I always do was the worst Bhuna I've had, we will be moving on to a different Indian in the future worst £50 I've spent

First time ordering from here and it did not disappoint. Curry’s were full of flavour and generous portions.

Food arrived in good time and piping hot. Excellent variety on the menu. Reasonably priced. Ordered 2 mains, both cooked to perfection. Tender, juicy meat, beautiful flavoured sauces. Cannot wait to order again.

Great Indian, lovely staff make your meal however you like it, I like chicken dupiaza but vindaloo hot and it's perfect every time.

Still waiting….. and want to charge an extra £5.60 for the rice!!! Wtaf!!! Will never use Shapla again and I’ve been going here since they first opened.. loyalty means nothing here. Absolute joke.

The food was ok however the wait was not - it was stated on just eat that our order had been delivered on time when it was 30 minutes late.

What has happened? Delivery half an hour late, rice was cold and just nowhere near to the standard we are used to from Shapla Spice. I had korma because I don't like spicy food but it was spicy, all sauce and only a few chunks of chicken. So disappointed. Won't be ordering from Shapla again.

9/10 one of the best takeaway curries I’ve ever had. Massive onion bhajis. Amazing aloo gobi and bindi bhaji and you could tell they made a special effort to make my korai chicken without coriander as requested. It was delicious but they overlooked the fact that the obviously pre bought chicken had lots of it

Ordered 1 item and took nearly 2 hours to arrive after phoning 3 times and being told it’s 10 minutes away.

Love shapla spice, order from here regularly, we have never had an issue with the food, it’s always great quality and hot on arrival. It was late delivery this time but understandable as it is a Saturday night. Delivery staff are always friendly too. Will continue to keep ordering from here 😍 100% recommend!!

Impeccable food as always, and delivered early and hot. This is my go-to for Indian cuisine. If I could give 10 stars, I would! I highly recommend Shapla Spice. Their staff are lovely too especially Steve, always friendly and welcoming. He goes above and beyond for every customer as well as his boss. He's a true diamond.

I’ve just ordered 2 x meal for me and my wife. And these meals were the worsts Indian meals if ever had. The rice was over cooked, The naan bread was extremely dry & the two main curry dishes were up eatable. Very dry & both lamb & chicken dishes were overcooked. Will you please avoid this takeaway. We very much enjoyed our curries, rice and nan breads and we happy that our food was piping hot and delivered on time.

Food is usually great from here but it wasn't that good this time. And I think half the chips was missing 😕

The cooma curries were super spicy to the point that they burnt your lips the rice was cold the onion bhaji was cold

Consistently good food, pleasant staff, on time. Recommended and used several times.

Came within the time slot. Both meals came cold.

The sheek kebab was cold and tough , tasted like it was yesterday’s , it went straight into the bin ! The naan bread was very tough around the edges and soggy in the middle , looked and tasted like it was heated up from yesterday then put into the foil bag where it went soggy . The chicken tikka masala was lumpy and not a smooth sauce as it should be , and just tasted of tinned tomatoes with loads of garlic added . It all went in the bin , I didn’t try the chicken as I was afraid that might have been heated up from yesterday as well , didn’t want to take the chance ! £21 down the drain !

Absolutely loved my order. One of the best I've tasted. Very impressed with the portion of rice, its nice to have a portion the same size as the curry. Very friendly staff also. My only bad point would be the size of the keema naan. Would have liked it a bit bigger. But still tasted awesome. Thankyou shapla spice, very well done.

Delivery time was extended, but delivered within the next timescale, so fair enough. Food was delicious, no complaints at all.

Small portions for the price, cold on delivery and late for time

Daughter purchased a meal for all at £50 ish. Used to use this take away once a week for several year as the food was the best in town! This meal was a let down! OK, the flavours were ok but not amazing but the portions were small! Shame as it was going to be a regular again. Oh well time to do the rounds for the best in the area again!

Food portions are small you don’t get much chicken in the curry’s/balti plus they are small bits of chicken!!! Was hardly any chips in the bags, wasn’t much of a kick to the balti to when I usually have it from elsewhere. Don’t think I’ll be returning

I don't like giving a bad review but unfortunatly dissapointingly average. Sag panner: not indian cubed cheese but melted cheese slices! terrible. Tough old tasting chicken in the good kurma sauce. Small nan bread with very little peshwari in it, more like a plain nan. Possibly reheated onion bhaji as they were not crisp but rubbery and falling apart. Average pilau rice more like plain rice lacking in flavour. The tarka dal was the only dish that didnt dissapoint. We are guessing that the main chef is on holiday? or a different chef as other reviews were good but right now, avoid!

I know it’s NYE and busy, but come on, we are regulars, watery Madras, about 5 pieces of chicken, supposed to be rice included with the Jalfrezi, but it was left out, chips were only fit for the bin, sorry Shapla, you’ve lost a long time customer!

The take away we just received really was excellent. Everything looked & tasted like it had been cooked fresh & was delicious, really impressed.

Phoned on a Saturday night before 11pm gave me an excuse the chef had to be somewhere else . Someone answered phone first then went quiet then someone else come answered with the excuse. Totally understand closing times but not lies and excuses.

Cannot fault any element of the Shapla Spice service. Food is always of excellent quality, very tasty, delivered on time and piping hot. Best Indian food in this area and we are never disappointed.

I ordered £50 worth of food, and no delivery. I drove to the restaurant after several unsuccessful calls to find it was closed. There was a note on the door to say 'As of September, we will be closed Tuesday'. This was in August... I phoned them the next day, and they said the order wasn't accepted and I shouldn't have been charged. I requested a refund, but they declined. They were extremely rude. I phoned the payment platform DatMan and explained the situation. I had to provide bank statements to show the transaction, and they told me a refund had been actioned. Ten days later, no refund, and they are now telling me I need to provide bank statements. AVOID at all costs!

Usually brilliant but somethings changed in last two orders I don’t know if it’s a different recipe but it tasted less creamy and a bit spicy?

Haven’t had Shapla for about 6 months but I’m glad I ordered it. Spot on still !! The land was so tender and melted in your mouth and plenty of it too, the sauce was mouth watering as always and the portions are great. Honestly I think the best Indian food around. SUPERB 🤌
