Raj Mahal Indian Restaurant in Blackburn with Darwen

Love it here. Never disappointed with the food, so much flavour and spice. The only thing which puts me off is the waiter who stands there watching you the whole time and actually I don't like our starters coming out when we still eating our poppadoms. Apart from that the food and environment is great. Good prices and overall nice staff.

First time we have been here and what a gem of a place. Lovely staff and spotlessly clean!! Food was amazing. Tender pieces of lamb and chicken. Wonderful Keema rice and garlic naan was amazing!!! We will be back. Highly recommend. Waiters were all lovely and had a good sense of humour!!

We ate at the Raj on Sunday for their Sunday special offer. Great service and food was the best around. All 5 of us agreed. Will be visiting again

Visited with my husband about 5pm on Friday. Our first visit and won’t be our last. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly. It is family run and they have great pride in their business. The food was delicious, lots of choice on the menu. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I was greatly surprised by the food served at this restaurant. It was our first time visiting. The service was spot on. The food was well prepared and well presented. The price we paid was very reasonable. I have been to some Indian restaurants, Balti, Whitecroft and Raj to name a few, but I must say, I really enjoyed it here and prefer this one and I will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed a delicious meal in a beautifully decorated restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was our first visit and certainly not our last! We discovered that there was a special Sunday menu which had a great selection of food and we were pleasantly surprised at the £12.50 cost for 2 courses. The garlic mushrooms to start were fresh and beautifully seasoned. The chicken tikka was tasty and the puri bread was crisp and utterly delicious. Fish Karahi was subtly flavoured and really tasty. Lamb Rogan Josh was mouth wateringly tender and luscious. We almost finished it all! The dishes were kept warm with little plate heaters with a candle underneath so we enjoyed warm food which we really appreciated. Service was excellent; Mahmood was friendly and very helpful. The accompanying red sauce was amazing and the chef, Ali, explained a little about how it was made. Before leaving, we were greeted by Abdul, the proprietor who wanted to check that everything was to our satisfaction. It certainly was! The lively atmosphere was a testament to how popular Raj Mahal is. We had a wonderful evening with faultless food and service.

Went with my friends first and the food was amazing, then returned a few weeks later to collect a takeaway for my family. Top quality Indian food.

I / we use raj mahal regularly for take a way or the restraunt. Consistently great tasting food and generous sized portions at a very reasonable price. Very accommodating considering me and my dad can turn up last thing at night after work and they'll always make sure we leave full. My daughter now loves Indian food rather than chicken nuggets and chips 🤣 and can't wait to go back. Thanks for all you do guys and see you soon.

Excellent range of dishes, quite a few that I've not seen before, such as Zeera, a predominantly garlic and ginger dish. Although not specifically mentioned on the menu, I was told that I could substitute paneer or vegetables in any dish instead of meat and fish. Tasty food and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Definitely recommend the cheese and garlic Naan bread and some of the best onion bargee's and takka dhall I've had.
