Absolutely fabulous Indian food. On this visit I had Tandoori chicken main meal with a plain madras sauce and a nan. Oh yes top food I must say

We have been visiting the Sajan for our Indian takeaways for years. Occasionally we try somewhere different, but always return because nowhere else compares. Great service, fabulous food, amazing value for money.

Not the best of curries at all! The onion bhajis were under cooked and still soggy in the middle.Both curries Bhuna/Jalfrezi tasted the same except for the heat very tomatoey and an unpleasant tang.The chicken tikka was tough and had some gristly bits.Won’t be returning!

Always of high quality,freindly & efficient.This & it's sister resteraunt,the Masala Lounge,are of excellent standard & can be favourablt compared with any in Britain.& I've eaten a LOT of curry!

Ordered a delivery and it was extremely pricey. Food was bland and tasteless and meat was chewy. Barely a hint of tikka and the sauce tasted like cheap tomato ketchup. Definitely not worth the £46 charged. Really disappointed and wouldn't order again.

I didn’t eat much of the curry but I’ve felt sick since eating some of it. Trust me it wasn’t edible. God knows how they operate but never ordering again.

I’ve been using the Sajan for many years now and the quality of food amazes me. No matter what you order the quality of food is 1st class and always has been. I can’t understand people giving this place bad or mediocre reviews, they must be very difficult to please. Staff are extremely polite and always obliging. For Indian cuisine I’ll always use The Sajan. Carry on the good work guys and stay safe.

We had a large order for 5 people, some dishes were ok but on the whole not happy. I had Garlic King Prawn Puri which was tasty but my main course Lamb Tikka Methi was absolutely awful, it tasted like burnt oxo and the lamb was poor quality. The peshwari naans we ordered didn't have very much filling and we couldn't taste the coconut. The rice was long grain rather than basmati. The one dish that people enjoyed was the Begali Fish Special. Overall, we were underwhelmed by the flavours and didn't enjoy the meal. We wouldn't return.

The Sajan is the best and always will be around Manchester. Food is always fresh and exquisite tasting. We have been using this take awake for about 20 years from Father to the brothers the tastes have changed but always for the better It was greatly missed during lockdown but we are pleased to see it’s back in business now Never had a bad meal from here. Fantastic authentic food, huge portions and the friendliest staff I have ever met. There are other good takeaways and Asian restaurants out there but nothing comes close to the Sajan. Everything freshly cooked and they'll make it to your 'hotness' for an extra taste sensation.

THE best Indian takeaway and right on our doorstep. Having honed my love of the cuisine in my student days in Birmingham, I didn’t think I’d find better but this is it! Great size portions, beautifully cooked food and a warm welcome from the staff. Sajan - you’re simply the best 👍

Consistently over the years this takeaway produces high quality and tasty food. The Chicken Jalfrezi is by far the best I've had from either a restaurant or takeaway.

Proper Banging food with a splash of moss side. Kind of like having a roast dinner on a sunday but with onion bhajis for a starter

Ordered a matar paneer alongside other curries and they didn’t send it at the start. we then went back having rang them and they gave us the wrong curry! The matar paneer is vegetarian and they send us a lamb curry which I can’t eat. Not impressed, will not be going back!

Friendly staff food ready on collection. Food was lovely. Would recommend to everyone. Wide choice of food food value.

Been eating here now for a good couple of months and all i can say is I wish I'd of found it sooner. Lovely curries and the nann bread is superb, I normally alway have a chicken madras and the sauce is always spot on, last night I had the mixed grill and wow what a feast the meat was all stunning 👌 defo the best takeaway around sale

My husband and I live in the sale area and both love a good curry, in recent years our old favourite of around 25 years closed down so we found ourselves without a ‘go to’ Indian takeaway. We spent a couple of years trying out different ones but sadly nothing was outstanding, until we tried Sajan , it’s usually busy but with good reason, quite simply the food is very tasty and all our family enjoy it 10/10

This has been THE place to go for Indian food for over 20 years. I’ve tried others from around the country and beyond but, none of them compare to Sajan. In fact we must drive past at least 10-15 Indian takeaways to get to Sajan. Faz and his team provide excellent food on every visit. If you haven’t been....GO or if you want to make a night of it, The Masala Lounge is a 2 minute walk along the road this is Sajan’s restaurant. Enjoy!!

Can’t fault the curry here. Also staff are helpful when discussing gluten free options and always please my kids by offering them lollipops. Not particularly cheap but food is lovely. Enjoy!

My go to Indian takeaway, really top class all round, helps to have the 5 hygiene rating as it puts your mind at rest. Was recommended by a friend and have been going ever since. Top.

I have bin going here for a while now and because it was so good I travel all the way from Eccles just to have a fab curry.the last 2times I have bin Has bin very disappointed with the curry doesn’t seem the same anymore.dont no what has gone wrong seem like different Cheff doesn’t even look to same food.i will no be going back there from now on.

It's not the takeaway I used most often along that road, but it is the takeaway that offers the best quality food along that road.

We always enjoy the food here, good selection of veggie dishes and enough selection for the whole family to enjoy.

We only ever have good things to say about Sajan. Have been going there for 8 years now. Always enjoy the food, and puts many restaurants to shame! Good portions, wide variety of dishes. Veggy/Vegan options. Many gluten free options too! Have never recieved a wrongly made order in over 100 visits or more. Friendly staff and service. Does get busy, and can see why it's popular so allow 20-30 mins after phoning. Always recomend this one to friends.

Have been here loads of times and never ever been disappointed. For me this is the best take away in South Manchester. They will even cook the food the way you want it .

I have been going to the sajan for years and I am such a regular customer the owner knows me by name. This is by far the best Indian in sale and I'm yet to find one in the Manchester area any better. It can be very busy at weekends but the food is always quality. Never had a bad experience with this place and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try it!

Superb Indian take away. Been going here for years, always been good. They can get busy so I tend to place an order by phone first, then pop in about 1/2 hour later. Recommend.

I have been going to this Indian take away for years and despite trying places that offer delivery I still make the trip to Sajan. Faz knows many of his customers by their names as like me they come back time and again. If you ask Faz about what is in the dishes he will advise you and will accommodate your tastes if possible. You won’t be disappointed with this Indian food it’s the best.

I have not been back to the Satan since feb 2017.i had been a regular since 2004 over the years the food has been first class.since 2016 I personally feel the Sagan has let itself down.the sauces seem very greasy and the chicken tikka is very hit and miss.faz is first class with customer service and I wish the chefs showed fazes class and made sure the consistency was there every time a meal was cooked .hope to come back and try again

Having stayed at the wonderful Lennox Lea hotel a short stroll to the Main Street in Sale and this truly delicious take away. We live in a South Shields with the famous Ocean Road full of Indian restaurants and takeaways but this little gem tops the lot. We have had a take away now fort he last three of our seven visits whilst in a Sale. The quality, extent of menu and taste of the food is delicious the front of house owner is so helpful and friendly offers you more popadoms or chutneys as many as you wish truly Delish. Back to our home from home tomorrow and am sure another visit to SAJAN is on the cards !!!! x

We always go to sajan if we are in need of a quick tea. The chicken korma is always hot and fresh, along with the naan bread. The mango chutney is so sweet and mangoey.

My wife has a coconut allergy so getting a curry is hardwork usually but these guys make them all fresh so know exactly what goes in each one Awesome food and quick too. Love it

Decidimos probar este para llevar durante una escapada de fin de semana. Los platos eran principalmente condimentada por chili que les hacía demasiado calor. Tuve el cordero tikka madrás y mi esposa el pollo jalfraezi. El cordero estaba lejos de la licitación y, debido a la sobre utilización de los chiles y celoso de sal el sabor, si estábamos allí, era enmascarada. El chutneys, etc., eran muy aguada. Curry es sobre gustos no calor.

Heavily watered down chutneys with the popadoms, the tikka starter was so burned it smelled of charcoal, dried up bhajis, heavily chillied main courses even though they were described as delicately spiced. This is just taking the mickey! Never again!

Extremely disappointing takeawayBurnt chicken starter, dry onion bhaji, watery minty yoghurt dip... bland chicken tikka masala and lamb karahi so overloaded with chilli that it could not be described as delicately spiced.An experience that I will not repeat - ever.

I visited on the 2nd April with my son as the Sajan is a local to where I live. Ee received a lovely welcome and the gentleman who was taking the orders was so helpful and friendly. He offered advice when choosing as we weren't sure what to have and while we was waiting for the food to be cooked we were offered complimentary coffee. The premises are spotless and you can see into the kitchen and everything was very clean. The service was fabulous and so friendly, the food was amazing and the Peshwari Naan was just superb... the best I've ever had. If you want a top quality Indian takeaway then this is the place to visit. 10/10. I can't recommend enough

A very bold statement but it is the best Indian take away on earth. Their food is made to a Michelin star standard, their chicken Tikka masala alone could win awards. If you live anywhere near Sale or if your like me and make an hour round trip to get there it will always be worth while.

Consistent high quality in both food and service. One of the best indian take away's in the North West for sure!

The Sag Aloo is to die for. We have never had a bad dish yet, we love it. The staff are very friendly and you can even have a cup of coffee while you wait for your order :)

I like to consider myself well versed in Indian cuisine and have found some great restaurants and take always on my travels. But I've never found one that comes close to the Sajan. Whether it's great taste, good portions or smooth service that makes you smile this place has the lot. When friends and family visit and we ask what they would like to eat they all ask 'can we have a Sajan?'Legendary!

We use the Sajan pretty much every week. It's by far and away the best Indian Takeaway in Sale. Love the Chicken Pakora and the Sajan mix is a firm favourite.

Sajan, never, never fail. Some Asian/Indian restraurants will take their 'eye off the ball', become complacent. These guys in 10 yrs of service NEVER fail!!! This is bourne out my many, many friends too! Too lazy to celebrate great food! BMcNamara

Been coming for over 20 years, there is no better curry in Sale and beats the curry mile too in my opinion.We dont ever eat out at an indian restaurant anymore as we know we would compare to Sajan and be disappointed.Generous portion, nice cut of meat and not tiny pieces that you need to fish out.Always satisfying for over 20 years. The best.

Wasnt the best but the place looked very clean.Had tasted better peshwari nan elsewhere.The lamb stater was rather dissapointing, it was overcooked and bland even though it had too much colouring on it.The prawns were miniscule and the popadom was a bit stale.Gona stick with the curry mile in future

Great place to stop in on the way home for a takeaway. Clean and friendly. Only downside is that they sometimes get so busy you have to wait a while.

Called to see friends and they were about to order from the Sajan and asked if I wanted something. I'm so glad I did, had the chicken jalfraizi. Without a doubt the best one I have ever had, I'd never heard of this restaurant as we always look for somewhere that delivers. I don't think I will mind driving into Sale to collect this if the meal I had is anything to go by. Lovely!

I am a Sale resident that is convinced that I have tried every local curry house in the area. I must say that the Sajan is by far the best curry in the area. A little more expensive that some but only buy a couple of pounds compared to the majority... Worth every penny in my opinion. The food is alway consistent (a first for most) and absolutely delicious.. Don't hesitate, if you have not tried the Sajan, please give it a go.

Careful what you order from the Sajan on Northenden Road in Sale - ordered a Vegetable Korma last night for our Vegetarian daughter - only received a Chicken Korma -even though labelled as Veg Korma.Spoilt whole meal and when spoke to them on the phone - only offered replacement meal even though whole meal was ruined - took them 10 minutes to apologise and when explained that I had been a long standing customer of over 15 years - told me that said it all and that nothing else needs to be said.Very poor customer service and a lost customer now for £20.Looking for a new curry house in Sale now..........

Its a take away restaurant in Sale. We took a meal for 2 from Sajan it was quite big for 2 of us to finish. Food taste was good and naan was amazing. Must try once for Indian food in Sale.

These folk have been cooking fantastic Indian food for many years. You really won't go wrong ordering quality tucker here. The management and staff are great people. Friendly, helpful and will accommodate your requirements. In fact I'm getting hungry writing this review.... 10/10

I can't rate the Sajan highly enough. The food is outstanding quality and portions very generous, service is fast and the staff are the friendliest in Manchester. Plus online ordering on their website is an absolute doddle.

We go there every Friday, and it is the highlight of our week! They remember our order, give us amazing food every week and even extra's sometimes. They do everything to give us the best service possible and the food is consistantly of a high standard- the best place to eat if you want a great curry!

Regularly order from this place the food is amazing and always very tasty. I would recommend the peshwari nann bread. Fairly priced and decent size portions. The only thing that does disappoint is the onion Bahjis

I've been visiting the Sajan regularly for over a decade and the food has been consistently exceptional. When friends come to say most insist on taking the opportunity to have a Sajan, and we never object! Personal recommendation is the Nawabi, give it a try!

We have been using the Sajan restaurant since it opened many years ago. We have never experienced such a meal as last night - it was that bad it was inedible and had to be thrown away. The chicken was disgusting - a slimey texture to it - sorry Sajan that is the last time we will be getting a takeaway from you.

We had the Sajan cater for forty people for a party at our house. All communication was first rate. The food was outstanding. They delivered to our house. stainless steel serving dishes with lids, burners and all the food, half an hour before our guests arrived. They set it all up, even gave us serving spoons and tongs for the bread. They collected everything the next day. We had chicken Bhuna, lamb rogan josh, veg balti, rice and naan for 40. More than enough for everyone, plus some leftovers. Would highly recommend and will use again.

This is an excellent takeaway. I have used this a couple of times and on both occasions the curries we had were outstanding. Good service too.

Best curry for miles.Highly recommend the sashlik chicken, and the veg bhuna is also delicious. We usually have roti with it.

If you do come to sajan the mix grill is great due to good quality meat cooked well, the flavours aren't authentic and the curry is a bit of a let down compared to what i'm used to. I think this is due to the food being catered towards an English crowd which is totally understandable as it's in sale but my fall out was when i decided to ask for a chicken sag and i asked how it was made and i got lied to and it was just a mild tasteless curry base with some spinach leafs in there. I wasn't to upset at first and carried on eating their mix grills until me and a mate went there and asked for the sag again but i asked them to make me apna style. In most curry houses if someone asked for their curry apna style that mean they know about the traditional flavours, to these guys it just meant stick more chillies in it. I would of asked for it extra hot if i want extra chilli.

We usually love Essence in Altrincham but didnt fancy travelling so decided to give this place a try. Wow this place is beautiful, i had king prawn madras, only 4 king prawns but they are huge and partner had chicken tikka madras and it was stunning. We has rice, chips and poppadoms with the dips and it was all restaurant standard. We are so impressed, im usually a chinese takeaway lover but i now want this every time haha. If sajan read this please thank the chef because he is obviously very good at his job. Many thanks for a lovely meal.

Our family have been using this takeaway for many years, and the food has always been great. What sets it apart though is the service. The manager is awesome. He is always very receptive and engaging, and unfortunately tonight they gave me the wrong curry. When I called he immediately offered a new one, but when I explained I had had a drink and couldn't drive he said no problem. 15 minutes later he personally dropped a fresh curry free of charge to my door. This is why I will always use the Sajan!

Usually get curry from here, literally just binned £20 worth of food. Not only did they get my phone order wrong, meaning I had to wait longer, the rice was under cooked the onion bhaji was stodgy & bland! The chicken tikka main was burnt & the madras & massala sauces came with half an inch of oil coating the top! I couldn't even enjoy the naan as it was cold and wet. Im usually not one for bad reviews however considering the prices here its only fair to let people know not to waste there money like I have.

The service in here is second to none! The staff are very welcoming, often offering customers coffee while they wait for food. Worth every penny! Massive portions of freshly cooked curry, couldn't ask for much more.

Without doubt the best Indian food I have ever eaten be that dine in or take out. I know its subjective but the Madras here really rings my bell. Good portion sizes and always good quality. I recently moved from the area but make the effort to travel back for the quality offered.

This is a takeaway and not a restaurant!I prefer to come to this place because the food is very good.I think it is a bit pricey and often wonder whether you could eat in somewhere for the same price.Well, until I find that restaurant, I will keep coming to Sajan.Great tasty food.

Had take away here before and has been fairly decent, last night was very poor and quite expensive. Very tasteless dupiaza, very bland tomato rogan josh (more like a lamb bolognese). Samosa in very thick short crust like pastry. Won't be going back.

I have ordered from here many times over years....have stopped ordering any starter chicken dishes as most of them turn out too dry and full of colours.....Last few times the mains have been swimming in oil, I ordered three different mains and without the writing on the top of the box it was difficult to differentiate....Get your act together guys you used to be better than this.....

The Sajan is quiet simply the Best Indian takeaway in the area. The quality and standard of the food is exceptional, matched only by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Would not hesitate to recommend this takeaway.

The quality, choice and value for money of the food at the Sajan is only matched by their service. I have used this takeaway for many years and have built up a genuine friendship with many of the guys that work there. The food is brilliant and they will make it to suit your taste - mild or hot regardless - they will even make a korma hot if you want it that way! The portion sizes are huge and compared to other takeaways (thinking chinese now) it means you get loads more for your money especially with things like rice. The chefs are very accommodating and will happily adapt or make make a dish that isn't on the menu. Its all about keeping the customer happy. There is usually a healthy level of banter with the staff and other customers whilst you wait for your food, especially on the subject of football which is always lighthearted and fun. In all the years I have eaten there I have never had a bad meal - just some that have been even better than others! Another really nice feature about the Sajan is that they put something back into the local community by sponsoring youngsters sports teams. The whole Sajan experience can't be beaten in my opinion.

Ordered lamb vindaloo, lacked any spicy taste, far too oily and a rather strong strange tomato flavour. For a takeaway I thought the price of £6.30 was also to high, as I did not order any rice or bread.There are far better options nearby. Will not be returning.

Lovely and tasty food, both starters and mains. Tried dishes that we had never had before as tempted by descriptions and we were not disappointed! And staff were very nice too. Cannot say anything bad about this place. Will go again
