Collected good food. No delivery to M31.

One of the best curry houses in Sale.

Use to get a nice mix grill from there awhile back, ordered again and was a quarter of the size and left hungry .

5 out of 5! Really tasty unique chicken curry, nice rice and garlic naan. Good service, great venue but the only downside was the size of the venue coupled with my mid week visit meant it was a little low for atmosphere. Wouldn't hesitate to go back though and try something else and if you want a big group curry, then this would be your place!!

Awesome food. Interior needs some traditional character to be re-injected but been coming here for 15 years after trying a lot across all Manchester.

Overall it tastes good but the chicken gravy is completely with tomato.

Food was good but a glass of large merlot was £9.80 which I think is extortionate for an Indian Restaurant in Sale and the downstairs bathroom was filthy I touched the wall under the hand dryer which left brown grub all over my fingers. Not pleasant and made me wonder the standards of the kitchen are

Went for Sunday teatime special. Absolutely loved it, fantastic value for money, lovely food, great service and atmosphere. Will definitely return and next time bring friends too.

Decided to go for a lovely curry on a Saturday night. Food was absolutely amazing, I got recommended this place from a friend and i couldn’t thank him enough. and the service is amazing, met a great young lad who gave us everything we needed and kept coming over to check on us. Will definitely be visiting again.

Always a pleasure to dine here, this was a Sunday and not very busy but probably due to the fact that it has been a very hot day with a lovely evening and most people were probably still outdoors. I had the King prawn Shashlik which as ever was cooked to perfection, my wife had Tandoori chicken which was moist, juicy and full of flavour, there were a few of us and we all enjoyed our meals immensely. Ate here again and had the Shashlik again no complaints. Went again tonight, there has been a noticeable drop in standards lately, mostly when the boss isn't there. The waiter was loud and a bit rude tonight accusing us of not knowing what we had ordered. Also the food was noticeably of a lower standard to normal. The mild curry sauce that accompanied my non sizzling Tandoori prawn "sizzler" just had cabbage stem in it. The onions weren't cooked and there were two measly looking bits of pepper. Last time we were told that the Tandoori chicken had traces of nuts in so our elder member of our party didn't have it due to his nut allergy but this time we were told by the waiter there were no traces of nuts. He didn't risk it as he lives near Macclesfield and may have keeled over at the wheel on his way home due to an ill informed waiter. We will not be rushing back unless we can be assured the standards have improved. This review was updated and downgraded on 18.04.2023. Just one more point..there was just us 6 and one party of 2 between 7.00 and 9.00 pm.

Been eating here since it opened when I was a youngster. Never had a better curry anywhere and i eat a lot of curry!

Despite visiting shortly after opening the restaurant was warm and inviting. We all enjoyed our meal as usual served by cheerful staff.

Oh wow! What can I say? staying in a B&B in Sale for the night and just happened upon this place on our evening walk. This is BY FAR the best food both my husband and I have had in Greater Manchester, to date. I had the chicken tikka masala with mushroom rice, my husband had the mixed bhuna and pilau rice, and we both shared a side of onion bhaji's (x3) and a large garlic naan, 2 wines and 2 large cokes, WITH a well deserved tip all for just £50! Such amazing value for top quality food! From the outside it looks like a small takeaway and if you blinked you would miss it, however, if you go inside it's well lit, well heated, with beautiful decor and room for at least 50 seated! We will definitely be back and spreading the word too. Sorry for the lack of photos but the food was too good to pause and line up camera shots!

Ordered a collection and the food was really nice and prepared relatively quick. The only gripe I would have is we ordered a set meal for 2 and the portion of rice was suitable for a small child who'd already eaten. As its a pretty important and inexpensive part of the meal, you could excel with a portion at least big enough for the 2 adults who were likely to be eating this. Its a small change but one that would make a huge difference (or change the name to "set meal for 2*. *if you have rice or chips at home") and would make me return regularly. Other than that, spot on.

My wife and I had a wonderful two course meal here this evening. The service and the food were absolutely first class

Really not sure what is going on here, Visited tonight, Tuesday, arrived around 8.00pm. Left by 9.40pm. Rushed even though closing isnt until 11.00pm. Very disappointed. Really not the same as past years and we have been coming here for many, many years.

Have used this restaurant for eating in but mainly for takeaway for many years always good quality ,but unfortunately we had a takeaway last night I ordered lamb buna there was no spice at all it was like eating a lamb stew ,the chips were undercooked and greasy Naan bread undercooked and very doughy ,Chicken tikka korma very bland .poppadoms fine .very very disappointed.

I was staying locally at the Travelodge and didn’t fancy a ping curry or anything else on the menu for that matter, so I walked the mile to the Mughal Balti. At 22 degrees the Cibra beer was very welcomed as I was when I walked in. Staff are friendly and professional and the recommendation of the chicken shahee was spot on. Moderately hot with warm spices and chicken with minced lamb, very tasty. Paired with garlic naan this was perfect. Great place to eat.

Mentioned my allergy, was met abruptly initially, then once we discovered my curry was peanut free the manager came over and sarcastically asked if I was enjoying my food as if my allergy was an issue. Food was great, customer service was terrible.

Disappointing £60 order sadly, no bags of salad with the dishes, no complimentary poppadoms and a 1hr 20 delivery. Given the competition around Sale I feel they need to up their game to retain customers.

Wonderful dining experience, great service, plenty of gentlemen looking after you and good range of different foods to choose from.

Very poor service. Waited two and a half hours for delivery with no communication whatsoever. Tried to call them multiple times to see where the order was but just rang out or went to voicemail. Understand that they might have been busy, but they either need to proactively communicate that fact, be contactable, or not accept orders in the first place.

Online order placed at 6:30. 45-50 mins delivery or if busy they would advise. 2 hours later no delivery, no contact, and despite multiple attempts to ring cannot get through. Shambles of a business. Avoid.

Lamb bhuna was good. Other dishes less so. No kingfisher. No mango lassi. No Indian tea. Waiter spoke good level of German.

Excellent range of regular & traditional balti dishes, good flavour plenty of meat/fish in the food. Eat in or takeaway. Good service but be aware there may be a wait at busy times

Worst delivery is took more than 2 hours

Read about this place on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. Well laid out with tables not packed together. Pleasant, professional servers. Good selection on menu and I had my usual selection when first trying a new restaurant. Popodoms crisp and tasty with well flavoured chutney selection; sheek kebab fresh and again tasty. Main course of chicken biryani with a vindaloo vegetable curry sauce. Again, delicious. So overall a great find and I will certainly be returning.

I was a little worried when we were the only table occupied when I went with some mates on a Friday evening. Food was lovely though. Great quality and served really well. Sauce wasn't oily like some are and I would definitely go back.

Food was good but took far too long to come out, 2 hours, people were eating biscuits and birthday cake to keep going. Spirits were high though, we had a good time but then, an unearthly stench drifted to the table. Someone had premature evacuation, got to cloth, hit the red button. The nuclear cough along side was eye watering and came back for 3 rounds, no holds barred. Suspicious looks were being passed to one another, it almost caused a mutany. We paid, we left, we checked our pants.

Lovely place, food is excellent, very reasonably priced too. Delivery was on time too & very pleasant. Love the Keema pilau rice, its to die for. I'd recommend this place for all that love authentic curries.

I had a takeaway Got lamb tikka lamb chops sauce had lots of fat residue drove home took me 5 mins naan bread was cold and very doughy chicken madras and rice were also cold won't be going back don't know how this place has a 4.6 rating

Ate a really nice meal here - the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable with a good buzz. The staff were helpful and polite and the food was delicious, in particular the light, tasty bread! Yum!

Been going here with my family since I was a child and honestly the staff are amazing and the food is absolutely divine! Worth every penny! Love Balti house have been coming for years, Ordered late on a Saturday night after coming back from holiday, very busy but took our order, never been so disappointed, re heated onion bhajis not edible whole order so disappointing, if you too busy please say so and don't take our order

Brilliant food, first time ordering a takeaway from here and it’s faultless. The chicken madras was perfectly cooked, good quality chicken unlike some other places where it’s tough. Will order again.

Ordered a take out, first time I've used them, got to say it was the nicest I've had for a long while, really good food, would recommend. Only complaint , driver said he had no change which I wasn't happy about, the meal was £22 and I gave him £25, what would he have done if I gave him £30, good way if making extra money....

Ordered takeaway for collection and food was ready in less than 30 minutes. Everything was delicious; the best lamb balti I have had, the chicken korma was rich and paneer tikka was lovely. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

Have collected a few takeaways lately due to lockdown, staff are very friendly. We had a a few of the meat starters today. they were extremely juicy and tender, we would definitely reccomend.

Went to Mughal during covid tier 3 'lockdown' . Really nice food, really good staff. Hope this restaurant thrives when things go back to normal.

Ordered a takeaway from here. Website said delivery within 45-60 minutes. After 90 minutes I tried to call but no answer on the phone. Ended up getting in my car and driving down to be told they were just packing it up. Stood outside for 10 minutes to then be told the driver had gone with it. Drove home to be told by my husband that it had not arrived. Tried to call again. - no answer. Had to get in the car and drive back down. Just refunded the money no question which made me wonder whether my order had even been dealt with. No apology or explanation. Whilst I was waiting another man got his money back and two more people turned up chasing orders that should’ve been delivered. Don’t bother with this restaurant for take away. There are plenty more good Indian restaurants in Sale!! X

I came with my partner and his son and was are first time and all I can say is wow the food was amazing (and I'm not normally a big curry fan) but this was best curry I've had ..service was amazing as well all staff are really nice we will definitely be back again i highly recommend this restaurant definitely 5 stars from me my partner and his son portions sizes are amazing defo get your money worth..😀👍

Amazing tasty food staff very welcoming

2 takeaways purchased over lockdown and both fantastic. Chicken tikka masala and king prawn jalfrazi this week and both lovely with lots of flavour. Rice perfection, garlic naan fab and pop and dips just the right consistency and selection. We live in city centre however happily make the journey across as there is no other curry house we have found that has the same standards (and we have travelled India!)

Our recent meal there was well up to the usual very high standard . The restaurant Is modern , spotlessly clean & pleasant to sit in . The food was cooked to order but our drinks , poppadums & chutneys arrived as a starter while we were waiting . The food was delicious . There's a large choice on the menu to suit most tastes. My husband was able to have his preferred accompaniment , which was chips ! Afterwards came orange segments , hot towelettes, & cream liquor plus a chocolate each , all on the house . It all contributed to make the meal special .

Was searching for an Indian takeaway with my girlfriend tonight and we settled on this one and it was absolutely superb. Ordered the set meal for 2 and every dish was a cracker. Definitely returning to this place!

I've been visiting Mughal Balti regularly for 15 years approx. Always excellent tasting food and the staff are really friendly. I enjoy visiting with friends and family. Really disappointed with our meal here... There was nothing major wrong, just a lot of small problems. Mixed grill was very good, but the paneer tikka was really disappointing, served without onions and not presented on a sizzing platter. We asked for a spicy curry sauce and got something that tasted ok but certainly wasn't spicy and could easily have been out of a jar. The staff were pleasant and attentive, but overall it felt like a very old fashioned curry house experience...

This is our favourite Indian and can always be relied upon to give great food. We usually have a takeaway, and they are always good. If we eat out in Sale this is our first choice when eating Indian. The chicken tikka chilli masala is a recently discovered dish and, if you like a hot curry, is absolutely wonderful. Well done everyone

Really amazing food and often have a takeaway from here. Only slight gripe is that it can be slow service when it’s busy, and if you’re seated near the door it can take a while to get someone’s attention for drinks / food order before and during your meal.

Came to Sale 30 plus years ago. Frequent curry eater. This place has passed me by but saw big shouts on FB to the question "...best Indian take away in Sale?" Tried it twice now.......sets the bar......quite outstanding.

travelling solo and only here for the night..i did a little research and found the Mughal Balti in my neighbourhood...ok it was 7pm when i arrived on spec..food was all delicious..butter chicken yummy..eating alone in a restaurant doesent create atmosphere but the background music was acceptable..they were doing a solid trade in take away!@

Have been going to Mughal Balti now for 20 yrs. My late Husband Ray & I went in or takeaway every week.Was really upset when it closed for refurbishment about 6 yrs ago. Tried every Indian Restaurant in The Sale Timperley & & Altrincham Area. But Nothing Compares. Go in now with Friends. Went in Tonight & Abdul was Back,what a Lovely Surprise The Orriginal Staff Back & Lovely Friendly Musar. Beautiful Food & Staff What more could you ask for SIMPLY THE BEST

Pretty sure their lamb chops are just mutton. 😪 Either way they were huuuge and as a result were undercooked and fatty and gelatinous. The marinade was just that generic bright red stuff that lacks any real flavour. Only ate 1 of the chops 🤮..still hungry and £16 down. The kerahi sauce was bland af with no finger chilli's in it. The naan was a little undercooked.. Not a charred bubble in sight... the samosas are those really cheap filo pastry ones from a packet. All in all absolutely terrible food. I could honestly cook better Indian food myself from scratch with no tandoor.

We had been so excited to come here after hearing great things. We booked a table online. We arrived hungry for our food. Only to be told that they don’t have our table! The man that spoke to us didn’t even look us in the eyes properly, “it’s been over looked, sorry” was our only answer! I asked what is the point of having a online system if you don’t look at it properly? There was no over appolisging and just quite happily let us walk out without even trying to resolve the situation, The whole mans attuitde was so rude and just really not bothered that they’d ruined a birthday outing! But we went across the road to the Italian for some gorgeous food, then a couple that was in the curry house left and game in there as well due to bad service!! All in all I would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be going back!!

Don't bother booking online like I did yesterday, arrived at 7-30 pm to be told they were full and didn't bother to check the online booking ! Staff were rude didn't make any attempt to seat us (party of 6 ) basically told us nothing they could do about it ! Obnoxious attitude will definitely not be revisited! We left and went to the fabulous Italian across the road well worth a visit.

On arrival we waited 35minutes for drinks and then a further hour hour between popodums and being asked for our meal order. When we finally ate our meal it took a further 30 minutes to get our bill. A simple meal took two and a half hours - the service was atrocious. Also having booked for 6 people, the restaurant was full when we arrived, but our table was set just for four. A spare table was found and we were squashed in. People on the next table who told us that they had arrived an hour before us (6pm) were similarly treated. We’ve never experienced such poor service and will certainly never return.

Booked online only to be told on arrival the didn't bother to check online bookings . Place was full no effect was made to seat us or find us a table staff were rude and unhelpful. We left without eating will definitely not be going back or recommending it to anyone
