The best restaurants serving Indian food in Gateshead North East

We had booked an upstairs room for a surprise birthday meal for 15. This was my first visit here and although it is a sizeable, busy restaurant, I was very impressed by the standard of service & the quality of the food. The menu also offered a good variety of options which made the results even more impressive. The food was hot (temperature) & everyone was served at the same time with no errors. All members of the group thoroughly enjoyed the experience & were saying how good the food was. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant & that is well deserved. Thank you all.

The food was absolutely amazing! The owners are also super nice and helped with recommendations. I would highly recommend this place.

Must say that as usual all was good it was the first visit for our friends who were throughly impressed with the quality of the food and service the choice of dishes is very good and quality menu so give it 5 star rating

Very lovely staff but unfortunately the food was terrible. The burger was very cheap meat and the most dry burger I have ever eaten. It wouldn't even bend, clearly been reheated. The chips were undercooked and the potato was very starchy. There was also loads more rice and barely any curry, however the curry was nice . The chapati was OK. Unfortunately I dont think I will be ordering from here again, which is a shame as it is highly rated.

A lovely restaurant, great atmosphere, excellent service and the food is absolutely delicious. It the best by far that I have been to. We come all the way from Scotland to eat here. Yes.....it is THAT good

We had a wonderful eating experience at Raval! From the greeting upon arrival, to ordering and eating our meal, the service and attention to detail was fantastic. Everyone was lovely, and the general chat added to our enjoyment of the evening after our shopping trip to the Metrocentre. As lovers of good food in welcoming eateries we will definitely return to Raval the next time we come down from Scotland! Thank you all!

Fab venue. I've been to lots of great events and meetings there. The food and atmosphere is great. Staff are super friendly although it can sometimes take a while for orders to arrive during busy periods. It's worth the wait. Great view over the Tyne from the balcony in the summer too

Having had takeaways many times tonight (18-5) we decided to go in for a treat as a family with a wheelchair user. Food was fabulous and front of house team I cannot fault. We did have one major issue, which at this point I will not go into, (but do have evidence,) I did ask to speak with a manager whilst in the restaurant but manager wasn’t on the premises/available at the time. The very apologetic team front of house have advised that they will raise my concerns with management and rectify for future visits. I watch this space and will happily speak to management team to advise on this issue.

Been going to chutneys for years and we ordered again the other week (after we hadn’t for a while) and it was amazing as always! Would totally recommend to everyone! A must try! 🌟

Amazing food, My go to place for idian food. Food is amazing, the wait time is short (I Always do collection on a sunday and get the 7 course meal deal) The staff always welcoming and friendly. Always reccomend to friends and family
