1st time tonight for a takeaway absolutely beautiful starter was very tasty and the main course didn't disappoint either We'll definitely be back for a sit in. Mixed kebab starter Chicken madras Pilou rice Keema Nan

Great meal and amazing service. Love coming here, foid is always great and doesnt break the bank. Easy to boom a table via phone or social media and nothing is a problem for the staff.

I had a takeaway meal from this restaurant a few days ago for the first time in 6 years. I wish I had not bothered; the food was awful. My wife had a biriani and it was so bland that she didn't eat even half of it. My king prawn bhuna was not much better but I did manage to eat it all. We won't be using them again.

Back to our favourite place it's been a while, but the food and service was fantastic as normal we won't leave it as long next time

1st time visit and why I have never been there before food beats me food was piping hot and very tasty chicken tikka dhansak was one of the best I have had and chicken tikka shashlik also very good and tasty service was very good can’t wait to go back

Just been into Crawcrook Tandoori again this evening. Soooo delicious. The Chicken chaat is just absolutely gorgeous! The Keema was amazing and the peshwari naan so soft sweet and beautiful the perfect bread for a hot curry. The waiters are as Amazing as always so friendly, attentive and totally professional. Thank you so much for what you all do.

I haven’t been to Crawcrook Tandoori for 2 years. I had moved back to London with work and now I’ve retired, I wanted to go back. I was so happy to see Shah & Jay and the food was still as beautiful as before. I really enjoyed my chicken chaat and the Luari lamb. Thank you for the amazing food guys. Great to see you both again after so long.

The chicken bhuna tasted like vegetable stew/ vegetable baby food. The starters, tandoori and breads were all lovely. Such a shame.

Order for takeaway first time trying the restaurant, ordered a chicken madras and chicken rogan both curries taste exactly the same. The nan bread and poppadoms are stale therefore must be few days old. Highly disappointed.

We order takeaway regularly and the food is always delicious 😋 staff are friendly and very efficient. Great value for money.

We ordered a takeaway for 6 of us to be collected the next day. Food was all ready to go when we got there and piping hot. Got it home and it was all delicious, best chicken balti I’ve had in years, everyone else loved theirs too. Really great, we’re stuffed! Thanks :)

Being vegan it is often difficult to know what it is possible to choose from an Indian menu, but the staff were so helpful, knowledgeable and patient, plus the food was really good. Can thoroughly recommend.

A nice friendly restaurant the only thing for me is that there needs to be a revamp on the menu. Other than this and it's really nice.

I ordered the meal for one, my little girl does not like anything spicy so ordered chips for her, I waited to pick up the order and my little girl was given an appletiser which she absolutely loved. I got my order went home and noticed the chips not there 😩, I live local so went down with all I ordered and explained no chips, to say they went above and beyond is an understatement we got a bag of hot chips which was all I was after but got extra, I not going to say what as don’t want people abusing such lovely people and the gesture they did, but was absolutely touched to the point I needed to say they are spot on, with customer service and looking after customers, I will definitely be back and recommend and I so happy they just on my door step, customer service is spot on, go Crawcrook tandoori ☺️

We were part of a fundraising group for Hope for Hedgehogs who visited Crawcrook Tandoori for the first time in April. A very warm welcome followed by excellent service - attentive but not intrusive, a skill that is hard to master. A truly amazing meal, full bellies all round. The question with any review should be , would you go back? Most definitely.

Came here due to a recommendation. We ordered a take out meal. Very impressed with the service and the value given to our custom. All of our dishes were AMAZING. After using several local Indian takeaways, this is now our favorite. Well done everyone. We will be back soon.

Me and a large group of family and friends attended the tandoori yesterday for my 30th birthday. I have to say my group chats are buzzing today with nothing but positive things about our experience. The food what’s phenomenal , the staff were excellent and friendly. Highly recommend !

I have used this place for many take away meals and have frequented the restaurant on numerous occasions and was always pleased with the food and the service until I ordered a take away curry in November 2022. The take away was supposed to be a Vindaloo curry but was as tame as a korma and the carton it came in was only half full? After all the business I have given this place... Very disappointed and have been using other take away places since, mind you I should have complained about the curry straight away but I didn't.

1 - completely missed my starter.....second year running, despite 'apparently" checking the order. 2 - I've never had to put salt in a takeaway curry, had to with all three meals as they were absolutely tasteless, 3 - check your menu, chicken Luari is supposed to come with fresh coriander........none whatsoever 4 - inedible Naan breads, both burned to a crisp, very dry turned to powder inside 5 - since when had plain pilaw been orangy pink ? 6 - crispy cabbage bhaji........NOT ........soft & soggy If you are so busy you can't cook the food properly then stop taking bookings, stop being greedy, your greed has ruined my evening!!!! I shan't be returning or recommending you anytime soon As they say "thanks for nothing" Alex P

Bought a takeaway meal for a midweek treat , Food in restaurant normally very good during our previous visits with attentive service and reasonable prices. However can’t say the same about their takeaway service as this is not the first time we have been disappointed in this regard. We ordered a chicken tikka masala main course with tikka starter . Whilst the main course was fine the chicken tikka was over cooked and dry. Salad consisted of a bag of warm lettuce with absolutely nothing else , not even tomatoes ect which would be the norm . Very disappointed and wondering if restaurant now letting their standards slip. Can still recommend main restaurant dinning but would be very reluctant ordering a take out meal as they are simply worlds apart.

Phoned the order through, asking if they would make my favourite...a Saag. Of course they would, nothing too much trouble. Food was simply gorgeous.

Second time we have visited this restaurant and we we were not disapointed. The food is very good and the portions are big enough. The staff ate friendly and very helpful, I can see why they have won best restaurant in gateshead 2022. Crawcrook tandori will be our regular indian restaurant in the future

As Indian meals go this was very good. We has a meal for two people with drinks. The food was full of good flavour and it was a very nice quantity. Two main meals, two rice, two naan, two beer and a soft drink. £35,...

OMG amazing!!! We eat curry a lot & honestly this is the best curry I have ever had. King prawn Chilli chingry …..just beautiful rich velvety sauce & peshwari naan to die for. My partner had chicken tikka jalfrezi which he said was amazing too....

Just received my food and very disappointed. Tikka masala totally tasteless and the garlic nan tastes like plain nan. Chips under cooked.

Although the place was almost empty there was a steady stream of take away customers, which is always a good indicator. We opted for the house special comprising of onion bhajis with poppadoms and a selection of dips with chicken tikka bites. We then had chicken balti and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan bread and pilau rice. The food was well presented, cooked to perfection and hot on the plate. The service was first class and the price was very reasonable. All in all we had a very enjoyable meal in a clean and pleasant environment served by attentive and polite staff. Would thoroughly recommend.

This Indian was very tasty and we would order from here again :) it was very hot as in temperature and nothing was overly greasy. My parents eat from here quite often.

As Crawcrook residents we are so lucky to have this wonderful restaurant on our doorstep. It’s a wonderful example of a Tandoori, food is plentiful and delicious. Takeaway is delivered or picked up wonderfully hot both in temperature and flavour. Yummy.
