The best restaurants serving Indian food in Gateshead North East

The food here is absolutely wonderful and the staff are attentive and friendly. I drive nearly 30 miles to dine here it is that good

We were really disappointed when the store closed on the Vallley however we just discovered the food truck on the Quayside. The potato curry wrap was amazing and the husband really like Goan rice bowl. We will visit again.

We tried to get in touch to book a table but their phone was out of use so messaged on FB & got a table booked….. Exellent service food was superb & also on my door step & having recently moved to this area…. They do takeaway so I’ll be getting mine from this establishment. Good value at around £30 per head plus drinks. The drinks menu is ok but could do with more variety ie cocktails would be good. Overall definitely worth a visit!

Very lovely staff but unfortunately the food was terrible. The burger was very cheap meat and the most dry burger I have ever eaten. It wouldn't even bend, clearly been reheated. The chips were undercooked and the potato was very starchy. There was also loads more rice and barely any curry, however the curry was nice . The chapati was OK. Unfortunately I dont think I will be ordering from here again, which is a shame as it is highly rated.

First time at Crawcrook Tandoori and would highly recommend. The service was brilliant and food beautiful. Lovely restaurant!!

First time here in a few years as now live further away - and it did not disappoint. Food was absolutely fantastic, with friendly service. Lunchtime special is phenomenal value for money too!

Welcomed warmly as always. Ordered drinks and the Journey. The journey gives you the opportunity to taste many starter and main course dishes. It was served quickly abd was fabulous. It sounds like there would be far too much food but the dishes are smaller than a typical starter or main course. Would recommend this to anyone who loves Undian Cuisine. The service was amazing. Well done all who served us on Friday 17tb January 2025. Looking forward to our next visit. Best Indian ever.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to, service and friendliness excellent, was made very welcome and food was first class, having been given the option of one to five stars, would give it six in all categories.

Great atmosphere and lovely people for a Monday evening spiritual group. Didn't have any food, but drinks were served with love. I'm looking forward to going back again!

I've only recently discovered this takeaway after it was highly recommended by a friend. The food was excellent, the service quick and I was notified when my food was ready to collect. The guy serving was very friendly. I wouldn't go anywhere other than the Jubilee Tandoori now.

Just had first home delivery order. No complaints, excellent food which was still hot, good quality, great value for money and lovely delivery driver. Will be ordering again.

Usually amazing something not as nice. Chicken a bit dry and spices not the usual zingy taste. Hopefully this is just a one off

Well, after 64 years on this planet, I may have found the best Indian meal - Shahi Tukra at The Monsoon, Low Fell. We've eaten at this cosy restaurant lots of times, and I've never had a bad one. But this has set a very high standard for every meal to come. Delicious chicken breast in a lovely sauce including Spanish Onions which just gave it a hint of sweetness among the delightful (medium hot) sauce. Highly recommended 5* in my books
